Definitely the one which the camera pans over during the transition between each still series of comparisons, but I don't know which grass mod that's supposed to be.
I've used almost all of these at some point. Many have strenghts in some areas. Verdant was probably the first grass mod I ever used, then I switched to Veydosebrom and prefered it for a very long time. Voluptuous grasses adds very thick grass and looks nice in forested areas. Recently I switched to Lightweight Grass. I'm a big fan of the snowy white grass it adds. Might try Northern grass as it looks really nice here. Good comparison! :)
Thanks for adding some locations that are heavy on the snow. This drew out the biggest differences between these mods. On the constructive criticism side: 1) I wish these comparison videos people make would split the screen at the end of each section so we could see each mod side by side at the same time. It is sometimes difficult to remember what the first mod looked like when looking at the last. This can make it hard to decide between my two favorites. 2) Your voice volume was very low and difficult to make out.

Really, I would love to take bits and pieces from each and make on. For example, I do love Light Weight Grasses for the Riverwood/Falkreath area but, prefer Veydosebrom's tundra. My top 2 grass mods are Verdant or Northern grass . Veydosebrom is a pretty amazing mod, but I prefer the two mentioned above as they seem a little more natural and don't stand out too much, in most cases. Verdant offers a really nice tone to the grass that blends very well with the environment, and so does Northern grass but it's a bit more dull. Verdant and Northern Grass both offer some really great combinations. But after seeing 2:28, 3:15, 9:06 and 10:56 I'm definitely going to keep Northern Grass in my mod list :0

Everytime I hear "In Honour of the King by Vindsvept" I get goosebumps, best choice and good music taste for skyrim video :) About grasses, the best is Veydosebrom I think from all included in video. I don't play Skyrim but it's nice to see, people still doing great job for this game, this game never die. Awesome comparison video man.
Recently reinstalled Skyrim based on a guide and didn't read carefully enough. Instead of picking an option, I had all three of Veydosebrom, Northern, and Verdant all installed and enabled. I don't even understand how my game was running. I think I gotta go with Veydosebrom but can't go wrong with any of them.
Oof, I might have to include some optional darker grass textures for Veydosebrom. And maybe some ferns. I liked how they looked for the pine forests in some of the other mods. Great video none the less though! I'm just self-critiquing ahah!

Great comparison, Waza! Although i would've liked to see some FPS readouts, but well... Surprisingly, Lightweight Grass Overhaul looks worst to me. I tried to like it for months now, but the green parts are just looking so fake - the only thing i like about it is the white grass. I wish the other ones had such icy grass. :)
Northern Grasses really suits the landscape the most. Viscous Foliage is the best if you want really thick foliage though as the name implies. Veydosebrom is a good in between. I tend to not like it when the grass looks like a perfect blanket with not much plant variety though or its super long even in tundra areas.
I was just about to install Veydosebrom, but goddamn, Northern grass looks fucking amazing in this. Think I will go with that instead. Thanks for the comparison video, my man.
Is there any grass that supports lightning? Because all of the grass above become black in the night when I put my torch or candlelight spell. I mean the vanilla grass reflect the light
northern grass for me has same annoying detail like tamrielic grass. those damn lavander plants are too big they look zoomed in and bugged out. look at the shot of them at 12:38, then looks at their normal size in Verdant at 12:45 - the big ones look particularly bad in some areas near riverbeds.
I didn’t get much ‘play time’ with each of the grasses , while making this video so I’ll refrain from commenting other than to say I’d be surprised if there was more than a 5fps difference between them all. Maybe I’ll test this in another vid....

That's exactly how I felt! The only issue I have is I have no idea what to do about the jaggies on the super whispy grass type in Northern Grass...
