This is the best commuter bike out there. I bought it 3 weeks back, after nearly a month of frustrating comparisons between fz, hornet, ns and Apache. I was set on FZ till I saw the Gixxer spy shots. It looks amazing in person. On top of that, it has everything I was looking for, none of the others come close to this.

Top speed i have achieved is 126 kmph. The shift light can be configured to on, blink or off. I get 48kmpl
If you have to purchase it again, would you do that or you would look for some other bike??
@@hyper-nationalist2348 not now. I purchased the bs4 model which had more power and lower price and the only thing missing from it was battery voltage indicator. I find the performance to be strained for highway rides, but for city it is a fun and nimble machine

Hello... i have gixxer 155 BS3 version. I bought it in year 2015. Now I have completed 148000 km running. The bike is absolutely fantastic comfort, pickup and mileage is also good. Still I am getting mileage of 50 kmpl in city and 55 kmpl on highway. I am completely satisfy with gixxer. Only one drawback is the back seat is not that comfortable for ladies.

Most overrated bike is Gixxer.
I owned Pulsar 150 for 5 years before going for Gixxer. Honestly, I find Gixxer is over rated, doesn't justify the price at all.
It just caught up with only looks with fz like looks, and dated Pulsar looks made these Gixxers and FZ succeed, nothing else.
I found Pulsar road grip, handling, seat position, braking and seats way better, may be due to my height of 6'1". It was breeze to ride Pulsar and never had to replace anything in 5 years. Gixxer ergonomics are not good, it give wrist pain even in city. Already switch gear (suddenly ignition goes off) has problem and replacement needed. Seating position is not comfortable, brake lever is also too short and tiny, gear shifts are pathetic, rear seat too tall for pillion, and short seat makes uncomfortable. Mirrors and horn also almost useless. Clock on the console runs 1-2 mins fast every day! During rain, the absence of tyre hugger/mud guard makes it too dirty on front and rear side. If you want to use kicker, you have to retract foot rest, not easy in traffic at all. Fuel lid needs both hands to close, and absence of hinge makes it more difficult, why Suzuki, why? Pulsar is at least 10-15% more fuel efficient also, not to ignore the merits of Pulsar. Dual disc brakes may be OK in city, but when it rains and slush on the road, you will understand why drum brakes still make sense.
Only positive is smooth powerful engine, suspension is good, handling is not bad, but not easy breezy lime Pulsar.
For everyone who have chosen are commented about yamaha and suzuki gixer u know wat .after 10,000kms only u will know the originality and strength and durability of ur bikes in terms of best ..like engine performance mileage clutch & gear pickup also at last vibration will increase after 10000kms ,,so at that time u got to know which is best in class..also honda hornet is most of them choice......this msg to bikes vlogger u hav to ask randomly 20gixer ,fz owners about the bikes pros & cons ..then it will give the better understanding about ther own opinion .to choose best bikes..this concepts why no one is interested to do..this wil help most of them who r dilemma to choose which is best ....spending money is not a matter but to get satisfy is very less in terms of bike segment ,,most of them feeling bad after buying ther bikes and also lossing ther huge money ..i hope in future the review will get change and bike vlog will satisfy most of the people to help and save money..

First of all, thanks for this honest review. I don't have much idea about bikes. But i have one question. There has been no kick provided. Won't it be a problem in winters to start this bike with an electrical switch if i don't use it for 3-4 days or more?
I'm proud owner of this gixxer.. Just 4 months though!! To me fz is a thing of a past, fz owners do really love this bike. that's it!!

If budget allow you than go for the Fz25 because it is more powerful than the other bikes you listed and if not than you should go for Fz15 in my opinion other than test drive bikes you love and if you like choose according to your need.
Suzuki did one thing i don't know why we have to set shift light on your own . Gear shift indicator light blinks at 9k rpm 😹😹 i switched it best which is 4.5krpm

Bro the last generation gixxer has engine problem, oil leak , hard gear shift, rusting issues, reliability issued, what about this
Yes the oil leakage problem and hard gear shifter are there in old Gixxer. But mine has no rusting issues at all. It still shines like new. You just have to polish it regularly.
I've just faced a chain sprocket bearing issue in which they just changed bearings. Other than that there hasn't been any other problem.

That was a mistake in this video. It gives 49/50 kmpl if rides normally.
Believe it or not my Gixxer gives me around 50-55 kmpl in mixed riding conditions. I maintain. Between 4.5k - 6k RPM. and shift first 3 gears at 4.5k and remaining 2 at 5k.

The only commuter bikes you should consider buying are the Honda hornet and the Apache rtr 1604v. The gixxer is the most horrendous choice . Buying a gixxer Should be considered a crime. Take the gixxer sf250 for example , it gets beaten by a damn r15 v3 in terms of performance and value.

@@avcreations7991 yeah of course it does the gixxer 250 sf tops out at 140 while the r15 does 153. The gixxers have a dumb oil cooled sohc engine. That is under tuned , gives out lower gas mileage as well.
gixxer top speed is above 150+..
gixxer 0-100 = 8sec
v3 0-100 = 11 sec
gixxer is comfortable too

You've to set the shift light to a certain RPM. When you cross the set RPM it will blink
