man i've just discovered Joscho in the last few weeks but I don't know there is a better acoustic player anywhere on the planet right now, and I don't know anyone has ever come as close to matching Django's triplets as he has.
And without distortion, 10 compressors, 2 EQ's, sustain, etc., etc., etc. that make it way easier for them to shred, just an acoustic guitar. That's the real deal!
I thought that normally the small-holed guitars were used mainly for lead and the large-holed for rhythm, the opposite of this band. I've also never seen swing rhythm played with the thumb, which is brilliant so as not to drown out the acoustic lead guitar. Great sound and great performance.
Nice tenor rhythm pickin, don't see many tenor players around. Funny comments on here. I'm not a musician, but I did stay in a holiday inn express last night....
I don't understand german.. why is he talking about jhonny depp?? It seems like a funny moment but I cannot partake in it :P Jokes apart this guy is awesome.
People ask me why Joscho talks about Johnny Depp. He explains that Johnny Depp is the Gipsy guitarist in the Movie Chocolat and he plays Django Reinhard's Minor Swing. So people always ask Joscho to play the Johnny Depp composition and he announces Minor Swing by Johnny Depp. And as a joke he announces that next time the bass player will play some solo pieces by Brad Pitt.

Susanne Grünewald Schwer zu beweisen dass Bach gefühlvolle war. Fest steht dass Joschos Musikalität vor Emotionalität platzt. Er rührt regelmäßig sein Publikum gerade mit den Balladen zu Tränen. Also wenn das nichts ist.
Ist nicht so schlecht, mit Bach verglichen zu werden, auch wenn das vielleicht der einzige Musiker ist, den die Dame nebst Joscho Stephan noch kennt. Ich hätte kein Problem damit, auch wenn Bach natürlich sehr viel gefühlvoller war! ;-) Joscho ist ein gitarristisches Gross-Ereignis, das ist wohl jedem klar,der Ohren hat!
