    Just installed a Fleximate 85L (1400mm) in the canopy of my ute. Good quality piece of kit.

      Wondering Family certainly a good idea. They were really helpful. I’d recommend getting yourself a 12v pump from them as well. Happy to answer any questions 👍

      Excellent Video! Excuse me for butting in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Proutklarton Protecting Aqua Plan (google it)? It is a great one of a kind guide for getting prepared for a mega drought without the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my work buddy got great success with it.

      Glad to hear it made your install a lot easier 👍. I don’t store water if I don’t have to. We’ve now finished our travels and passing it onto a friend who is planning his lap this year. Thanks for watching!! 👍

    Great video , after seeing your video, i bought one too. Unfortunately i've had a few problems, when i raised with fleximake they sent me your video to explain !!! First supplied brackets didn't fit at all - way too short. Replacements not much better only 2 fit and the other too long, so i had to drill fitting holes in the correct place myself...However the main problems i have are that the seat will not clip in with the brackets , they stick out way to much no matter how much i try to use some force to get the seat back !! (i'm replacing the brackets with another solution) I tried to fill it up now i have the seat locked in place but i can't get past the filler hose level, maybe i need to fit the standard water hose fitting as you did. However my main problem is getting water out of the bladder. As the outlet hose is not at the bottom of the bladder, i found that almost 10 litres is stuck in the bottom as its below the level of the outlet hose, just wondering if you have this problem or if a 12 v pump will help? thanks mate, Steve (Scunthorpe lad originally !!!)

      Steve Wood so sorry to hear that you’ve had these issues. I’ve seriously had no issues what’s so ever with mine. Can you send me some pics? Look up ‘Venturing Four’ on Facebook or Instagram and send them through that. I did buy a 12V pump in the end, as I didn’t want stale water sad in the bottom. Happy to help wherever I can. 👍

      Hey Steve and Venturing Four , how's it going with your water bladder ? I'm looking at getting one soon and running it to a 12v pump in the tub wings I've made. Did you get the issues sorted ? Any advice or hints that might make things go smoothly for me ? Appreciate any help👍

    • @venturingfour
      @venturingfour  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cameron Sinclair if you follow the vid you should be fine. I just think Steve was unlucky. I’m guessing you got your issue fixed Steve as I never received at photos from you 👍

      @@venturingfour sorry mates, forgot to take any decent photos but i did fix it. The brackets i got (i got fleximake to send me some different ones, they claimed fitted fine) - they didn't. I had to extend the brackets by bolting 2 together to make them long enough to support the tank high enough, then had massive trouble making the back seat retaining catch operated. All fixed with extra spacing washers etc. The bladder works fine (once i followed venturing four advice on how to fill it ! using garden hose connection. Still left with the issue of the last 10 litres or so is stuck below the level of the discharge hose connection, so i need to put hand behind seat and squash the bladder to get the last bit out...maybe your pump might solve that, keen to know as i might fit one too....

    Hi I’ve got a fleximate bladder which sits behind passenger seat. Works a treat. Just wondering if you have any tips on keeping it clean.

    • @venturingfour
      @venturingfour  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wendy Graham I actually haven’t used anything yet. But when I get round to it, I’d be using something similar to, Cleanoxide Water Treatment Tablets. Google it and you’ll see what it is? Good luck and thanks for watching 👍

    Just looked at your video. Good job. I have a 2016 XLT an a Jayco 19.61 2 as have no bin lids. Travelling in WA not always can get good water so will get one of these. Will also fill through a tripple FSA filter. Good to see you don't RTFI and have to make corrections after fitting just like myself. Also note you have copied my hair style.

    Hey mate just wondering about noise. I am looking at purchasing one of these and just want to know how load the water moving around is when you are driving with the car, or when the car hits bumps. Cheers

      Hey Jack! The water does slosh around unfortunately. I just put the radio on and you can’t even hear it. You’d definitely notice it if doing any 4WD tracks.

    • @venturingfour
      @venturingfour  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Dunetech thanks for the nice comment. The bladder is working perfectly for my needs. It’s so simple to use. I did end up buying a 12v pump to assist with transferring the water from the bladder to the caravan. I’ll be doing a second video soon showing me using the bladder and pump together. 👍

      Dunetech I’ve placed mine in the rear canopy near my second battery. It’s screwed down above the wheel arch near my 12v cig socket.

    Hey mate, are you drinking the water from the bladder of just using it for washing etc.

    • @venturingfour
      @venturingfour  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We’ve mainly been using it for washing up etc but you could put a water purification tablet inside if you wish 👍

    • @jimmysando99
      @jimmysando99 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@venturingfour No worries thanks mate! I was only asking as I have had my Fleximake bladder for well over a year and the horrible plastic taste has never gone away. It's totally not fit for human consumption, we find even using the water for washing leaves a plastic smell left behind. I contacted them but never heard back. We have tried several water purification methods from treating the water to filters and it doesn't really help. Used drinking water hose and fittings throughout and still no good, unfortunately!
