    Hey man, amazing job on the ranger.
    If you don’t mind I would like to ask if you design the project or what? I’ve got a ranger and I’m trying to find someone that makes it to help me out, but here in Brazil no much people design like that yet, so I’m finding hard to get in touch with a good project to start making special the canopy it self.

    Hello, love your setup! Question, does your Ford ranger have the “shark fin” antenna? If so, how did you deal with the clearance between the fin and the rack? Would love to have the rsi cap with a cab rack at the same height but I’m not sure if there’s enough clearance over the shark fin on my NA spec 2019 ranger.

    Hey, great videos. Great info for us noobs.
    With that said, quick question for you. I see in your video that it appears the front material is deforming on the kitchen foam. Is that the actual case? Is that something you see that’s a non issue?

    • @EpicAfrica
      @EpicAfrica  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dustin,
      Thank you for the great comment and really glad you enjoyed the video.
      That deforming on the kitchen foam isn't the foam itself, its just a thin felt layer and I think its done that from the time I left it open in the rain. 🙈

    What is the max load this canopy can carry? Is it good to carry a roof top tent like the 100kg heavy bush company alpha?

    • @EpicAfrica
      @EpicAfrica  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The canopy itself can take a load of up to 350kg's on top of it but always refer to the vehicle roof load limit which is normally around 95kgs while moving. the iKamper tents are all under 85kgs which keeps you with in these limits.

    what is the main defference between TUV model VS Evo?

    • @EpicAfrica
      @EpicAfrica  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The TUV is more a commercial style canopy, its more aimed at the everyday working that will use it mainly for his job, where as the Evo is a bit higher spec and has more refined finishes. Hope that helps but also check their website out for a bit more info www.sa.rsismartcap.com/

    Hey What's the size of your tire?

    • @EpicAfrica
      @EpicAfrica  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I’m running 285/65/18 in this episode but I have recently changed to 265/70/17 and having the extra rubber and slightly narrow tire is proving to be better off road.

    Very brave to live in South Africa ... that place is wild & ethnic Europeans are in danger. Better setting is Australia where you’re not isolated to driving at day & only in certain areas. I was traveling in South Africa & the guides kept telling me don’t walk at night or travel outside of the compound ... very dangerous.

    It is funny to hear guys talk about "I like to keep it lite". Then you see roof overloaded to two or three times its rated capacity. Way too heavy for me.

    • @EpicAfrica
      @EpicAfrica  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The cab has a roofrack of 25kg, an RTT of 55kg. Comes in at the rated weight of 80KG. RSI Canopy that holds another roof rack carries 2 jerry cans at max 80kg... It is nowhere near overloaded ☮ bearing in mind that we only load these things on the roof as essential items, when travelling offroad at low speeds. It is not 2 or 3 times its rated capacity and I would certainly classify that as "Keeping it light".

    • @boymeetsbush8232

      @@EpicAfrica You total max weight is 25RR+55Tent on truck+25 RR on Canopy+80KG Jerry Can+Ammo boxes (15 kg may be) that is minimum 200kg and that is heavy for that vehicle. Wel we agree to disagree. I have LC200 with rated capacity of 200KG and my max load including tent Alu-Cab gen 3 tent is 110Kg

    • @EpicAfrica
      @EpicAfrica  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 80kg rating on the cab has nothing to do with what is loaded on the bin. I have -+80kg on the roof and about 100kg on the roof of the RSi which is attached to the load bin which is rated to carry 1ton.
      We avoid carrying weight high but some of it is unavoidable. We go on the road for weeks at a time and drinking water and diesel are two things we can’t do without. I won’t put diesel in an inclosed space so those things go on the roof.
      You lucky the LC200 has a 200kg rating, must be one of a very few cars that have more than 100kgs

    Dont waste your time or money on an RSI canopy!!! Support is horrendous to non existent and as soon as a new model comes out there is ZERO support or extras available for your expensive purchase!!!!
