So that’s what that orange wire is for! I was putting together the GF01 and the I was confused about what that orange wire was for. Good on Tamiya for providing a brushless capable ESC for any for any future upgrades the user wishes to install.
Great build again Matteo.... your attention to detail is amazing. I never knew that model came with a hard body, so I look forward to you finishing it off.
Nice build, but without the front bumper there is nothing to hold the suspension U pin in place. Can the bumper be trimmed down in size so it dos not stick out too far,
Yes, this it's true. Fortunately in the kit is a smaller bumper included to hold the u pin in position. I think this one should completely hide under the body.
Excellent work as usual Matteo. I love the Different colours of the plastic parts, reminds me of some of Tamiya's early kits like my TA-02 AMG Mercedes. However I must say I prefer the look of the Lancia Delta Integrale body styling.
HA! I had the AMG as well. Got it for my 6th birthday. Lovely. This video brought back so many memories… DF-01, TA-01, TA-02, I've had a few as a kid. Wondering if they still include the holder for the mechanical speed control, as the holes in the top plate are still there… Nothing is quite like connecting the battery and the model going full speed, because you did not switch on the receiver! :)
Hehe. I still have my TA-02 AMG. it's looking a bit battered now but recently completely dismantled the chassis to add ball bearings and gave it a thorough cleaning. As for the mechanical speed controller I think they have removed the mounts for them in their re-releases but I may be wrong.
Also for the body clips u put in the posts for under the body I didn’t get any rubber washers for the top of the body clips, is it ok without, maybe I’ll have to find some or bend my body clips so they don’t scratch the body
Mikey mike thanks it looks really cheap like a bent coat hanger lol . I've been a tamiya builder since 79 as a kid up untill today and I've never seen them produce a center drive shaft of that quality.
10:19 - Those wheel axles are so sloppy! The axles slide inside the ball-bearings way too much. Whenever I build a RC kit, I always use several bags of Kyosho axle shims to get the axles and gearbox parts to fit just-right, with no excess movement.
@@Matteomeier: Oh, I'm definitely a hobby driver; I almost never drive on a track, and I only raced a couple times. Mostly I'm disappointed with Tamiya for designing the axles so loose. Even with the original plastic bushings, the axles don't need to be so loose.
I always loved the build of a Tamiya kit.... awesome quality! Have you ever done a tank? I'm going to be building a Sherman Tamiya tank and it looks like a fun build....😀
Love it Matteo! It's the next kit i will order since i love the old Group B cars soo much. In the finish of your video, is the Defender D90 the latest release from tamiya with the CC-01 chassis???
Once built, do you plan to launcha your Lancia off a launch pad?
Yes, a running video is planned...
Building Tamiya chassis is so much fun...I may get another one after seeing this video
Yes, every time so much fun! 👍
So that’s what that orange wire is for! I was putting together the GF01 and the I was confused about what that orange wire was for. Good on Tamiya for providing a brushless capable ESC for any for any future upgrades the user wishes to install.
Yes, it's a good option to go with a brushless motor!
Great build again Matteo.... your attention to detail is amazing. I never knew that model came with a hard body, so I look forward to you finishing it off.
Thank you Graham! 🙏
Super gemachtes Video ! Auf die Karosseriearbeiten bin ich sehr gespannt.
Weiter so und viele Grüße in die schöne Schweiz !
Danke Willi! Hoffe es klappt gut! 😊
Needs a spacer on each rear wheel to give it a wider track and better stance 👌
Yes, I have to do this! Thanks! 👍
Step by step.... Loving it Sir Matteo
Thank you Isaac! Glad you like it! 😊

Thank you Rob! Yes, Delta Integrale is also an awesome model! 👍
Nice, the Lancia is coming along! Thanks for the build video! 👍🏽...you’re awesome!
👍 Thanks so much Bernard! 🙏
Awesome build brotha, I finished the Jagermeister M05 but still need to paint, but I need one of those rounded edge lipo batteries 👍😎
Do u have to super glue the foams? I just put mine in the tires should I take foams out n glue them, I haven’t glued the tires yet
Also for the body clips u put in the posts for under the body I didn’t get any rubber washers for the top of the body clips, is it ok without, maybe I’ll have to find some or bend my body clips so they don’t scratch the body
Nice! The Jägermeister NSU is a nice little racer! 👍 I use the Rocket Sport Packs 4200 from Team Orion.
I think it's not necessary. But it's mentioned in the manual, so I did it. 👍
I always use the rubber rings, gives a bit damping for the Body, and it sits taut on the chassis.
Great build video . But that is a odd center drive shaft i womder how well it will hold up under a powerful brushless motor system?
It doesn't hold up, it bends under power, needs an alloy shaft. 😎
Mikey mike thanks it looks really cheap like a bent coat hanger lol . I've been a tamiya builder since 79 as a kid up untill today and I've never seen them produce a center drive shaft of that quality.
Thanks Ed! Yes, this drive shaft looks more as a cable! 😂 I think with the stock motor it works, but needs an upgrade for a faster motor! 👍
Very cool, I always enjoy your build videos.
Thank you Stefan! Glad to hear this! 😊
Very beautiful build, love your channel.👌❤👍
Thank you Peter! Glad to hear this! 🙏😊
Trying to put a brushless motor on and can't get it to mesh up please help
6:51 what glue. Thanks

Yes of course this is a good way. But for hobby drivers it's not so bad how it is out of the box.

passionnant! merci l'ami!
Merci a toi! 👍
I always loved the build of a Tamiya kit.... awesome quality! Have you ever done a tank? I'm going to be building a Sherman Tamiya tank and it looks like a fun build....😀
Thanks Bill! Yes, everything fits perfect together! No, never done a tank, I'm not so a military guy... 😊
Looking good man, thanks for the videos. :)
Thanks again for your nice feedbacks! 🙏😊
👍nice job looking forward to the next vid
Thanks Chris! 😊
Aaah! Lancia rally? I can't find "Video 4", is this car ready?
Too much work at the moment! But it will come for sure... sometime...
Does that stock Tamiya esc have lipo cut off?
Yes, it have. 👍
Another great build video Matteo!
Thanks! 😊
Grandissimo!
Grazie! 😊
Hi Matteo, nice build video man, I've still got to build my chassis, my body is painted but not stickered yet. 😀👍👍👍
Thanks Mike! Now I have to paint it also! 👍
Mateo looks great. I can't wait to see the finished body. Too bad you put stock mabushi in! :)
Thanks! Maybe later it can be upgraded, but it should not be a rocket... 😊
I love see your vids 😍 they are awesome !!
Thanks! 😊🙏
Great video as usual 👍👍
Thank you! 🙏
i doubt that drive shaft would stand up to brushless power
It actually does. All 3 of my TA-01/02 have's the stock driveshaft and handles perfectly a 13,5T brushless
Looks great
Thanks! 😊
Nice build and fun to watch. Gonna do my 3rd Tamiya build soon 😁👍
Thanks Skansman, I see you're also a Tamiya addict! 👍😊
'

TA02 short wheelbase
👍nice work bud looks great!
Thanks Steve! 😊

Thanks! Yes, the Defender coming these days! Video next friday!
What is the name of book to make
This is included in the kit. It's the manual how to assemble the parts. You have to buy the kit.
Klasse! Hier hat es Tamiya wohl geschafft, das es mit dem Radstand genau passt. Was man ja bei den Porsche 934 ja nicht sagen kann🤬
Ja, ist so. Danke Alfred! 😊
the one dislike is from a audi quattro rally driver that lost in 1983
Yes, that's good! 😂😂😂
Nice
Thanks! 😊
sweeet
Thanks Trooper! 😊
First! Hah!!
First answer! 😃
汚ったねえ配線だな。メインスイッチ入れっぱなしでバッテリーコネクターつなぐとか草ww
