Thing to add to visionshaper -mainly use realm with logstones, use a weapon with heroism -poser's ring makes this mantra insane since the coin toss after the realm will always be in ur favour -you can use isshins or berserk since at 1% it doesnt matter
@velt1212 realm doesn't only make you invulnerable bur the others too so the coin toss is who lands the hit first afterwards (you're both 1 tap 0%) so posers ring guarantees that dmg
ok some things to add for the chainwarden section: The chain of Restrain slows opponents down, The damage of the mantra is true damage (your armor is not gonna protect you against it, unless you have oathless) Damage on Restrain scales each time you hit it on your enemy, it can deal around a little bit more than half a bar The damage you build up does not transfer to other targets (Example, if you use it 3 times on someone and does 15% but then you hit someone else with it, it will only do 5%) The Chain makes enemies unable to run from you since they get slowed down by a good amount Restrain CAN'T be feinted for some odd reason.. On Flourish you proc the same chain Restrain procs but you're able to pull your enemies back to you and if you m1 once you pull them back you do a special kick that ragdolls and does around 60-70% posture, if your enemy blocks the kick you keep the chain on them, but if you manage to hit the kick you loose the chain because you send them far away I've used chainwarden for at least 70 chime matches so heres my review (Things to note, i'm no way near a comp player like spiders, this is just a review on how the oath plays and feels) Chainwarden is def not just a buff like most of the other oaths (contractor, dawn, vision etc) it's an oath that requires time to understand and master it's mechanics, Very techy oath that can be really good on the right hands and build, You do require a little bit of setup to hit restrain since it's a slow kick and has a loud sound when you use it (can't feint it either, hopefully they make it feintable next update) but the reward is pretty good for landing it, you get increased true damage the next time you use it and chain that allows you to setup someone for a wall combo with rupture or just storm cheese, the oath may or may not get buffs on the future, but personally i find it fine as it is rn, not every oath has to be a straight buff, i like how techy this oath is, not over the top techy (black magic 2) or lame boring techs, it's kinda a middle ground I recommend this oath for no attunements builds more specifically heavy no attunement, flows really well and can setup for really good combos, you can use chainwarden on any other build but i'm just letting yall know that from my own experience no attunement heavy is good with it. In conclusion really fun oath to play with and can be really good if you take the time to learn it Amazing video spiders, the advice of a leaderboard player is always appreciated 👍
Only thing I suggest you do next time is to add how much health your test character had. Since basing damage of a move off of percentage is not a great way to quantify it as the actual damage isn’t clear on an unknown amount’s percent.
@@speedlife735 not what I meant. Saying restrain does 10% isn’t a good measurement since 10% on 460 health is completely different from 10% on 540 health.
btw restrain has no hitstun so if your enemy knows it doesnt have hitstun they can just tank the hit and hold m1 to punish you. if it's a bug it needs to be fixed asap, if its intentional the devs are stupid ngl

as a hard blindseer-only-pvp, some nuance i want to add: sightless windup time is cut if you use insignia. play around with mantra confirms. its especially good paired with exhaustion strike after the nerf that made it not gb on posture overload. use it to esentially confirm a gb since sightless isnt parryable. it also gives good incentive to run insignia on moves youd otherwise want other gems on, like guardbreaks, exhaustion, chase tools, you name it. also, when you do start landing it, people will want to vent out of it. try to keep in that sweetspot where you outrange vent but to where your sightless is still hitting. people will also try to dodge away and proc ghost, but you can follow with all seeing eye. its a bit of a niche talent but seeing where invisible players are can be super duper useful. it works on ghost, portals, beast burrow, disguise, shadow wisp, and pretty much anything that isnt tacet. handy to have.
tranqul circle can be used as a reaction to mantras. a lot of the time, people dont realize that it grants total mantra immunity, and not just disables casting. if you can use it as a reaction to say, flashdraw strike, then they tp to you and the mantra whiffs, meaning you can get a free m1. some mantras do have weird behaviors, like shadow meteors still having knockback and equalizer counter still being active. if your enemy has a move ready like punishment, you can tranquil to prevent them from casting it for a time.
sightless hard counters stationary setup moves, namely iceberg and arcsuit. if you can reach them while theyre in arcsuit s, you can start a sightless and they wont be able to block after their anim is done. iceberg is similar, but works because it isnt parryable, so they have to eat it.
Sinster halo is a pretty solid mantra imo for 1 main reason You dont get parry stunned as they parry the halo meaning you can continue just swinging at them while they move out of the halo giving you free hits
yeah thats also why its trash lol ill just stand there and take the 2% damage and only parry the actual attacks that matter, also easy to run out of or punish someone using it
precision cuts is pretty good if you’re good at predicting when people swing because it has just enough range to be out of distance but still land if you use it when they swing they WILL get hit
For dawnwalker’s radiant dawn you can use it as a way to blind or hide the sound affect for an upcoming radiant kick or reversal flame leap if done right
I wish there was a Gale - Thunder oath, maybe called stormcaller 🌀🌪. Since theres already a mantra combining the two. Plus like shadow + Flame, the combination of elements is really good because of the damage of thundercall and mobility of galebreath
I feel like you dogged on Fadetrimmer a bit too much tbh. As someone who uses it on my main build, i find it can be extremely effective and is a very good "filler" oath, similar to how most people use dawn or contractor for the 2 mantra slots and one mantra (radiant kick or judgment mainly) to fill out the last pieces of their build. Although it is alot less generalist as those two are. Close shave is, as you said, prominence draw with a different name. but prom is a very solid mantra and being able to put it on any build without meeting the med req can be very valuable for alot of 'off meta' builds (mainly weird heavy builds). And im not sure if its just the visuals or if its very slightly faster, but most people seem to have trouble reading it at first, which can be valuable but isnt a big selling point imo. Precision cuts is incredibly solid, and currently the one i run most often when i dont use both. The damage nerf was pretty big, but entirely deserved as it now just does pretty solid damage instead of a bar and a half or more with the right setup. Its slowness seems like a very large downside at first, and it can be in a decent number of situations, but its long lingering hitbox and odd lack of autoparry frames (or at least if you parry the first hit youll parry the 2nd but not the third? its strange) means its great for punishing a wide number of approaches and applying pressure in close range neutral. And interestingly when its buffed with insignia gem the entire mantra is way faster, with the three slashes coming out faster than a dagger crit (i think). Im pretty sure insignia is only supposed to effect the windup? I could be wrong but this is the only mantra where ive really noticed this effect, makes it an incredibly good followup to certain knockdown mantras (or crits) with insignia and scares most players into using their vent. All round a very solid (and more importantly fun) oath in my experience. and while its still definitely a 'troll oath', it can be so much more if your willing to put the time into understanding it. And the healing is good too I GUESS.
I think Starkindred kinda needs a rework. The mantra's all barely fit for pvp (Halo is fine as is) and I never see more than one of the mantras used on a build unless it's attunementless. People only ever go one mantra at most for the wings. Imo Ascension should be a mobility mantra with some slight buffs and celestial assault could either use a rework or a new spark variant. These changes help make it more worthwhile to run more than one Starkindred mantra at a time on Attunement builds or for general use.
