Weatherford trail that you mentioned is a fun alternative and finally reopened after the 2022 Pipeline fire that ravaged much of that side of the mountain, followed by severe post-fire flash flooding. But it is recovering as Aspen reinvigorate or move in, and it is much better footing than the rocks-and-roots route from the Snow Bowl.

Probably not worth driving from LA but if you're at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon it's worth carving out some time if you have it.

Hello, is there any exposure that you would consider dangerous on this trail? Specifically in ~6" of snow with microspikes and poles.
There are no real narrow edges to come close to - just keep an eye on the weather.
