First of all thank you Mark for this video but the points you made are fine maybe in your case. I have a high non slip porcelain patio that actually looks like yours and does have some slight grain to it too, it was laid well by a professional and drains really well, however it’s been a skating ring when it freezes, I’m actually afraid to walk on it as I’ve nearly fell over a few times. I’m trying to find a safe de-icer that won’t damage the surface or some sort defiantly not salt, perhaps a drain mat that I can put down on the area I need to walk on to my gate. I can’t find anything on TH-cam to help with this and I’ve contacted several retail tile shops. If you or anyone has any tips it would be most appreciated.

Hi Lynne thanks for watching and your comments. I am sorry that your paving is causing so many problems. I have to be honest in the freezing conditions we had before Christmas and we have had snow recently my own paving is no more slippery than any other surface. Yours must really get cold and freeze. Have you contacted the paving manufacturer to see what they advise in regards to a de-icing solution that will not damage the paving? If I come up with any ideas I will let you know. Sorry I can not be of more help.
