Really ? Didn't take me much time to adjust after 500+ hours of AB.
Of course, I still play AB 7.0 and below
@@Spido68_the_spectator my difficulty mainly stems from often being too cautious where I get no kills but survive the whole match because I always expect a bush to shoot me from across the map. I also cant lead aircraft for shit. I'm getting better though.
@@connivingkhajiit Being cautious isn't a bad thing in RB. You can try being around teammates and act as fire support.
@@Spido68_the_spectator I'm so used to playing as a tank destroyer from arcade though, so I always feel I should take more of a long range sniper-like approach, especially when I main the StuG II F and the StuH 42 G. That seems to work much better in arcade.

I have 500 hours or so, unlocked Leopard 1 and hopefully soon enough the T - 44.
I'm more of an aggressive defender on the front line or medium range ambush / fire support.
Try doing medium range things and see if you do better (in arcade). Becaude that mode favors short / medium range engagements and you can do really well if you are behind cover (i got 12 kills no death 3 times... although the last time i got taken out at the end of the match because my team was terrible).
Once you regularly do well in arcade, do some RB again and see how it goes.
the problem with arcade is that everybody knows where u are you can't be stealthy at all and the fact that you cant use your own plane is kinda annoying and plus the bomb fuse time that takes 1 million years to explode

I think that just adds to the faster pace of arcade. You can't hide behind a bush and be sniper elite so you're encouraged to get into the madness like the rest.
@CapitalTeeth it also allows movement. If you know where enemies are, youre gonna be a lot safer crossing a mildly open area without being sniped by the bush. RB on the other hand punishes you hard for moving even a bit too freely.
When everybody saw you in AB, its a pain to run a glass cannon that relied on stealth and speed to moved to flanking positionnor any position that can give you advantages. Thus completely destroyed the way of most Light tanks and Tank Destroyers that has the paper armor.
For example, I run a lineup with M41A1, M109A1 and Pershing Med. 2 per 3 of my lineup be oneshot or can only shoot one before received tons of shells dropped to my face. Situation even more dire because many players mimic WoT sucide scout way, run directly to the other spawn and spotted entire team then died.

you can always use rangefinding to see how far the enemy is
it is slower without a laser rangefinder, you kinda have the crew measure for you

Learning to play RB after AB is basically learning to play the game from scratch - it requires completely different mindset and approach. AB makes your vision weak and lazy because you’re getting used to rely on highlighted enemy indicators. RB sort of forces you to play more tactical and sneaky and makes you start hating players who put 100 bushes all over their tanks.

tier 1-2 is a terrible experience in RB. you get bot teammates and just have matchups where you cant pen a few things anywhere

Fr, i tried to get tier 3 germany but the teammates are so blind and deafened by erika i lost every single match with 1-4 of the won ones having like 2 germans
It depends somehow, but i do mainly play AB because the pacing is fast. Still im still practicing on RB tho, i find it fun when comes stealth and tactical ambushes.
I understand the rb pain of not having fun but dam bro 1 kill at least 😭

For your 1000 sub, you can play with a realistic noob on different gamemode and see the difference
I personally would recommend getting to around 4.0 before playing RB, especially for Germany. Low tier RB especially for Germany is very very not fun due to every tank having very poor turret traverse.
So yeah, just try playing AB until you get to around 4.0 (Germany has a KILLER 3.7 lineup) and then switch to RB

Because it wasn’t that serious to begin with, counting assists as half a kill shouldn’t be allowed either but I didn’t care at the time

I feel like players who go from not playing to playing arcade will have a higher chance of success than people who play realistic when faced with a "smurf" Especially if a realistic player plays arcade but the difference is probably not that big. Arcade is probably just easy mode for the pros who know how to use their eyes

RB is the only way to play ground. And if you try to play arcade, besides the crappy auto-aim mechanics, you will find it has less players the higher you go. Not to mention poor rewards compared to RB. AB is intended as the training mode.
For air battles though low tier I do find AB better simply because of respawn options you get more done, but again as you go higher there is far less AB and RB is where you want to be once you get to jets.
Have fun either way but 99% of discussions you will see people having about this game, and groups you interact with, will be playing real battles.
Just remember in RB you have to actually think about your actions. Use cover, hills, distance. Even better the distance shots actually require skill now so it separates the chaff from the wheat.

Arcade is just more fun honestly. RB is about not being seen, so often you just blow up randomly. It's less fun than an actual exchange of round you get in AB. Realistic? Less so yeah. More fun? Yes.
