    Man this brings back childhood memories! My cousin had one of these and my other cousins had four wheelers. I always wanted to ride that three wheeler it was so much fun!

    Nice ATC, I had a brand new 79 110, first one sold at our local shop, loved it. I have an 86 350x but would like to find a nice 110 to teach the grandkids to ride on.

    Suspension and 4 wheel drive would be odd. I was just a kid when the TRI-MOTO from Yamaha was new in '82. That was a MAJOR step up from the Hondas. 2 stroke engine that never failed. Fun memories from a few decades ago.

    I've still got a few ATC's, run like new and never let me down.

    Running your tires psi at 2.2 to 3 psi is a big help with lack of suspension and it helps with traction as well.

    • @griffensander
      @griffensander  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, I think the stock tires were actually rated at 2 psi. It makes me nervous going fast around sharp turns with that low of pressure though because the tires stretch a noticeable amount when you do.

      @mikeshobbiesandrandomstuff 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@griffensander yeah my 86 250es is the same with thin sidewall tires but I put a new set on with the factory standard 6ply side wall and the rated 2.2 psi not 22 is such a comfy ride much better on my kidneys and lower back. It's a must for me even though my 250 has suspension all around. Not sure but it looked like you might have the original tires on yours and after 30 plus years the side wall gets a bit soft. Looking forward to more videos of it👍

    Talk about scary. I drive my ATC top speed around my neighborhood with bmx handlebars a piece of bed rail holding the steering forks, and ratchet straps holding the bmx bike handlebars to the forks, and keep them from spinning, and also no brakes. Hahaha

    I have a 79 110 myself and a parts bike 1978 one of my buddies has the 85 125m And then another buddy has a 185 they all run and we smash them through the riverbed so much more of a work out with the short frame

    Did you replace your carburetor or did you rebuild it? If you replaced it where did you purchase it from?

    • @griffensander
      @griffensander  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I rebuilt it. We try to never replace original Kehin carbs. The cheap chinese replacements carbs are a bit of a gamble.

    Hi, is that tow bar an add on or original?, how well does it tow? Thanks

    • @griffensander
      @griffensander  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's original. Most utility-focused trikes came with them. In low range, it tows great and can pull heavy wagon loads of wood.

  • @16driver16
    @16driver16 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Gotta get a front fork with suspension on it, i think the 200s with front suspension may be a good swap, that will make it alot less likely to flip, i was able to ride a 200s alot faster over alot more bumpy terrain than my 110 because of the front suspension. I put the 110 engine in a ct90 motorcycle, its street legal and the suspension means my back is MUCH happier.

    • @griffensander

      If it was in worse condition I would, but with it being so nice and original I hate to mod it.

    • @16driver16
      @16driver16 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@griffensander everyone thinks these are rare but they arent as rare as most people think. It could always be swapped back when your done too. Also upgrading to roller headset bearings(for a crf50/xr50 iirc) instead of the ball bearings is common.

    Unfortunately, they were not reliable. Driven daily in the mud and in the water, they started to rust after 35 years. Plus you had to change the motor oil every 5 years.
    Pathetic.
