      Jessica - it was so great meeting you there! I know you probably don't remember me since there were so many people there. I was almost expecting you to mention in this video how you didn't have enough room to lay down on the floor during one of the meditations but I love the way you kept it positive. Hopefully, we can meet up at an advanced retreat in the future

    Hey Jessica! I made it back from the Cancun retreat :) It was BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for the tips fr. It was cold 90% of the time so having a blanket definitely helped. The community was beyond words. I've never actually liked a people in masses but this group is really full of people just wanting healing, knowledge, and connection. I met so many people from different countries that I never would have otherwise.
    The first 3 days I really "struggled" to recognize any progress but it was definitely happening. Once we started healing people, my heart really opened up and I was able to truly feel all of my centers and connect to God on an energetic level. I could go on and on about the meditations but by far healing people was an experience I really will cherish.

    I have been to three Dr. Joe Events. One Week Long by myself in Canada, Week long in Marco Island, FL with my husband and an Advanced Follow Up Retreat in Marco Island, FL with my husband. All you said some's it all up in a nut shell and I will be sending your link to people who have been asking me questions because you explain it in an easy way. In doing both the Week long and Advanced Follow up I find that I prefer the week long retreat over the Advanced Follow Up. 4 days is way to short for me and you just want more. I got a lot more out of the Week Long's. Will definitely be going to other Dr. Joe Events in the Future for sure.

    Hello Jessica, I am writing this on February 5th 2024. I am going to attend my first week long event in Cancun in 3 weeks! So excited! Your videos have given me some wonderful tips and ideas before attending. On this video, you said you live in Seattle. I live in Snohomish WA . We have a group on the Eastside (Redmond/Issaquah/Bellevue) that meets for mini retreats, walking meditations, and zoom co-healings. Thanks for your informative videos, Leanne

    Hello Jessica, thank you so much for sharing your experience. 🙏🏻 I have been doing the work, studying his books and doing meditations daily for over 2 months now, so I am still a newbie. I live in Italy, I am waiting for a week long event hopefully in Europe some time soon. I am a bit anxious of so many people together and so intense, as you said going beyond ourselves, but also of not being “prepared” enough and of too high expectations, as I have some serious chronic issues that I want/need 🙏🏻to heal from with all my soul and heart and mind…I am struggling with being able to really be present even doing hour long meditations daily. I did other kinds of meditations prior for years but on and off, his guided meditations I find tough but am really determined.I wish there was a space to connect online with other people and help each other I am doing this all by myself and it’s tough. thank you 💚

    I have been to a progressive retreat in Colorado and enjoyed it. I wished I learned more hands-on techniques instead of lectures since I listened to all of his books multiple times already. I had experiences at the airport where I was stopped at checked in on my way and returned home since I was detected something in my heart like Cecil's testimony had his at the airport. This meditation is tame considering to the 11-day Vipassana silent retreat. The energy was great but the music was extremely loud.

    Hello Jessica, I am so pleased to have discovered your video, it has brought me calm through understanding as I prepare to attend my first in-person retreat with Dr Joe. I will be attending the Advanced Retreat in Cancun in early June. I have a question concerning climate control at the retreat. When I visit warm weather states I find they are accustomed to excessive air conditioning and wonder if the retreat’s meeting area could be considered cold? I just want to be prepared to pack and dress according to indoor and outdoor climate. Also, what is your feeling about arriving a day before the retreat is scheduled to begin and staying one day after. I booked my hotel arriving the day of registration and checking out the last day of the retreat. I don’t know if that is unwise, I was thinking more about cost savings. Thank you so much for your support.

    • @JessicaNortonND
      @JessicaNortonND  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ooh this is a good question. I think for each person it might be different. For me, I get a sense of expanded awareness, and the thoughts usually slow down/stop and a feeling of oneness and joy (for no reason) settles over me. When first doing the meditations, I would constantly wonder if I was connecting to the field or doing it right. Just keep coming back to being aware that the field exists and that your attention to it will take you into it. Just keep showing up!

    This was very helpful! I have been wondering how the retreats worked/happened day to day. I had planned to get one of the online courses but your description of the energy of the people together sounds far more immersive and valuable. Two questions: what meditation did you do on the first day--the first meditation of the retreat? Was it one from his collection or brand new? Also, is your meditation that you do now every morning one of Dr. Joe Dispenza's or one you have created yourself? Again, many thanks for this lovely description.

      oh hmm, at this point I don't remember which meditation we did, as it's live he mixes it up so it not exactly like the recordings. I would like to do it for my mom, but although I am practicing Dr. Joe's meditations for some time now, I haven't found a guided one where you heal others and don't really know how to do it.

      Hi Corina, I'm not able to teach Dr. Joe's work, as he teaches the healing meditation himself during the events. However what I can recommend is to have your mother apply to be a remote healee via Dr. Joe's authorized remote coherence group, the group is on his site or at this address. drjoedispenza.com/pages/remote-coherence-healing-groups
      There are also the synching to health meditations, blessing of the energy centers, you are the placebo as well as changing boxes to get you both in that feeling of health!

      Cost of the hotel definitely depends on the city and hotel/resort and which type of room you would like. In my experience the event is able to secure a discount with the hotel which is really helpful. I believe my room for the San Diego event was under $200 per night. I think that if you click on the upcoming events it gives an estimate of room costs.

    • @JessicaNortonND
      @JessicaNortonND  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So far it has been included in the cost of the week long. When you purchase your ticket you get access to it. And it’s recommended you go through it to before the event so that you can be familiar with the basics and get the most out of the event

    • @robynland

      It’s not only recommended, they require it. They send you a quiz before you go and you have to get at least a 50% passing grade to attend! 😬 do you have access to the progressive/10 to for 30 days after your event. I actually kind of feel like they should let you keep it once you’ve gone to advance week long but 🤷‍♀️

    Hi Jessica, Unfortunately, the retreat is out of my reach.
    How does the knowledge covered during the retreat differ from reading his books, getting some courses online, meditations, etc?
    I see you liked the push and energy from people around you, but are there any other benefits?
    I am just wondering if I could get as good results by DIY as when participating in the retreat.
    Thank you.

      Nope, but they do ask you not to share any of the proprietary details of the work , research or lectures outside of what dr joe has already published. Usually you’re so into the meditations and absorbed in the lecture that you really wouldn’t think about it or have the opportunity. But you can and are encouraged to take notes for your own benefit either by hand or on your tablet/phone. You also use your phone or tablet for the walking meditations. Otherwise it’s the honor system.

    • @JessicaNortonND
      @JessicaNortonND  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      The longer I practice, the more that I think it does not really matter which meditation. It's more about showing up consistently to do the work everyday, the intent you bring and your ability to surrender. And working in each meditation to overcome yourself and being able to maintain that feeling throughout the day. I think sometimes we initially like or connect with specific meditations and thats fine, as we change I think our preferences do as well. In the beginning I wrestled with the space-time meditation and now it's one of my favorites. Remember there is no such thing as a bad meditation :)

    • @JessicaNortonND
      @JessicaNortonND  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When he is talking about the formula, he is referring to having both a coherent brain (a clear intention) and a coherent heart (an elevated emotion) and this is what we are trying to achieve in both meditation and during our waking day. He has an article on his blog that talks about the formula. There is also an intro online course called the formula in which he talks about this, he also discusses this in the book becoming supernatural. drjoedispenza.com/blogs/dr-joes-blog/demystifying-the-formula
