    Great review! The green and gold Kinokuniya edition is associated with the Kinokuniya book store chain in Japan. Like a lot of the other Staedtler limited edition pencils, they are partnered with a retail store and sold only there. An example would be the Meister edition, available in black, champagne gold, and red (and just recently in blue as well), which was also known as the Tokyu Hands limited edition because it was sold only in that department store in Japan. Since they are not available online and only at a physical store, a markup in costs occur when you buy online because there is a middlemen looking to profit.
    By the way, do you go on r/mechanicalpencils? If you don’t, you should try browsing that subreddit. There are tons of pencils reviews and other information available on there and there are over 5000 participants on there now.

      Pencil Utensil Let’s also not forget that Kinokuniya has a small presence in America as well. Well, at least where I live there’s a store. They got the best variety in my opinion when it comes to writing utensils at least in America.

    The so called 'Legionaire' is to my under standing the Roman god of war Mars, which many Staedtler pencils are named after.

    The 925 25 is the silver series all sizes available and the 925 35 is the midnight blue series all sizes available. Most of the limited edition colours have the 925 35 labels and are only 0.5mm

    I love these and believe they top the rOtring 600. At least they feel better to me. I have the ‘35’ in 0.3, 0.7 & 2.0 and the ‘65’ in the Orange (0.5) and the Dark Gray (0.9). Makes a nice set. Quints. As always thanks for the interesting and detailed presentation. Of course I have three rOtring 600 pencils and a 600 series pen. Love them too. So if the 600’s are a 10.0 then the 925’s are an 11.0. And then there’s the Angel Arc H-1309...oh dear!

    The basic 925 has changed quite a bit since I got mine what seems like a hundred years ago. The grip is different, the eraser cap is different, the ring just below the grip is different, even the logo on the clip is different.

    I have the Regulator wich I think is my favourite pencil of all .For me it´s a perfect pencil love the ballance and the look.The only downside is that the knurled grip looks grippy but is actually a little to smooth.

    I have the 925 35 in blue and I think it has one of the nicest finishes. All around great pencil in my experience.
    Would like to have it in the green/gold or red/black limited editions.

    I understand why you don’t put the 925-25 into the top 10. I mean it’s your list and you prefer other pencils. That’s fine. I just think it deserves a slot more than the p200 series. But that’s my opinion. Either way this was a great review. Keep me coming.

    Oh, it is a pity that Staedtler stopped the production of the 925 85! They are AWESOME, way better than the 925 25/35 models

    I am from Spain. I got a couple of 925 25 (07) at a local store. They were selling them by 5€ each (something to do with clearing stock cause a change in the serial number, I don't understand it but no complains).
    The weird thing is that this models have retractable lead tip. The number [1000] (in a square) is in the barel after the "925 25 07".

      Hmmm. My gut says "knockoff" but not sure.

    • @manuelpineiromourazos6514
      @manuelpineiromourazos6514 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can be. The shop is trustworthy. And the mechanism is brass I can't see any difference on the parts, other than the retractable tip. I think it could be a "regional" variant.

      Could be a regional variation, agreed. EU is Staedtler country, after all.

    I know it’s unpopular opinion, but I like the 925-25 more than the Rotring 600. I prefer the 925 knurling more and it’s lighter and less expensive. It has a great mechanism just like the 600.

    Bro, the name of your channel is "clutch situation" yet you reviewed every single mechanical in the planet BUT....the most used lead holder (clutch) by pros....the Staedtler 780. I hope you review it soon. I bought one the other day and had to buy another one week later seeing how great it is (for drawing purposes, not writing).

    Love the video!!! My 925-35 is a great pencil. I've had it for two years.....and today....it decided not to load my lead. There seems to be something stuck in the middle of the tube. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help and thanks for the TH-cam on the variety of Staedtler pencils.

    • @ClutchSituation

      Meaning it is jammed, or the lead falls straight through? Start here? th-cam.com/video/oLgnDl8BP7U/w-d-xo.html

    Im interested in getting it but Im confused about the eraser. I know you can buy refills but is it just this little stub coming out of the end or can you just push it through to get more leverage?

  • @Lorenzo-xb4sy

    So why is there a hardness indicator? Is it just to mark the hardness of the lead you have in the mechanical pencil? Or does it change something within the mechanical pencil?

    • @DogZy9
      @DogZy9 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's there purely if you have 2 or more pencils with different grade leads so you can distinguish which pencil to use.

    It's discontinued, but I like 925 85 the most. That mechanic and stable pen is not so. I wonder if it will be reprinted someday.

    I was wondering if you could review the Alvin "Ben" B/3
    EDIT: It is a lead holder

    • @ClutchSituation

      Since I don't really use lead holders, I usually don't purchase them for review. If you would like to send me one for review purposes, I would do it then!

    The Basic back in the 90's looks better then what you are calling Basic today. No Rubber grip but don't want one. Even the Silver one I don't like as much as my 90's classic. Again yours has a Grip. All of mine 03 05 07 and 09 come apart very easy. My cap looks like your 925 25 and higher model type cap but tbh I don't even use the Eraser from these. I use a 526 50 or a Hilix Auto. Oh well. Just saying your Classic to me isn't very Classic.

      Clutch Situation. Oh I know it's a German brand. Just not many people pronounce it that way. Just struck me as funny and reminded me of Colonel Klink from Hogan's Heroes. No offense. 😜
