That's what endurance is, mitigating pain, enduring. Resilience is what can be gained from adversity, and resilience cannot be proved without adversity.
Great water's-eye view of the start! You guys have a great thing going, very eloquent and thoughtful perspective from the kids... what an awesome adventure all-around!
This could be great fun! I hope it really was for you! Finishing last is the best thing to do if you want to both enjoy the rowing and get all the attention; but that's no easy feat - while everyone can finish the race first.
I will be competing for the first time this year (solo) I will also be competing on a surfski that I have very little experience with. Overall recipe for disaster..I know My primary concern is navigation. Is the river pretty simple to navigate? Did you use anything specific to navigate such as GPS or any apps? I have the race owl app , but have zero experience with it. I have a garmin fortrex and the Basecamp of the 340 installed. If those all failed, would it be relatively easy to stay on course still?

Endurance is really just a matter of mitigating pain 😂 Makes it sound so enticing!

Inspiring! Phenomenal performance as a family. Wow. Must have been lots of highs and lows that you persevered through as a team. What an adventure! 😊

Thank you!
@@BackcountryProfessor of course! ...oh, what device/app were you using for navigation? The voice notification was cool!
@@TheExtremetraveler for this race, most of us are using the Pro Paddler app, which is specialized for the MR340
This was fantabulous!!!!
Thank you!
Epic! Fun to watch the journey. And I love reliving the finish line party. Nicely done!!!

Those are great tools. River navigation isn't tough on the Missouri, but you don't want your apps to go down.
feel sorry for that mask guy.
