Great job! I bought my Delorean last year, and as an owner seeing your reaction getting to review this one made me so happy. I truly believe as an owner it’s our responsibility to let people enjoy the car and share their emotions with us. It means so much to so many people and I love getting to experience that. Thanks for the video I really enjoyed it!
So exactly right you are Alex. It’s awesome so many DeLorean owners understand this. It’s so cool a car can get such positive reactions from people and make them so happy! To me, the best part of owning the car is sharing it with people.
The DeLorean is a great car! I do use my DeLorean as a daily driver. See's a few hundred to over 1000 miles a week. The factory engine yes was 130hp/157tq but weighed only 2800lbs. With a 5 speed 0-60 was 8.8 secs. Not hateful in 1981 because a 1981 Corvette with a 350 V8 4bbl carb and a 4 speed with 190hp did 0-60 in 7.4secs so the DeLorean was kinda in the middle but getting better as time went on. I love driving mine. Its been updated and upgraded and thd PRV is now a Stage-1 set up with around 150hp/167tq. Its no race car but handles like a slot car and pulls nicely! They are great long distance cruisers!
Did the stage 1 really adds that much performance? I thought it's mainly an update of the exhaust etc? I'm asking cause i just bought mine. It's an late "83" wit automatic transmission and i'm thinking about giving the car some extra power. Do you know how much slower the auto is? As i've been driving both and to me the difference doesn't seem that big, except from a short delay on start.
Good review man. Like you, when I saw Back to the Future as a kid, the DeLorean was burned into my brain forever. After reading Ready Player One and seeing Ernest Cline standing next to his DeLorean on the inside cover, the spark to own a DeLorean was reborn. After hunting for the right one for over 2 years, I found one and picked it up. Owner now for over 4 years and couldn't be happier with it, still hard to believe I own one. Take care brother and God Bless.
What a car to review huh? I'm sure this made your year! Great review as always. That skit at the end was spot on: "You do realize the TH-cam copyright system is gonna flag this music right?" "Listen that doesn't matter right now. Something happens to your truck in the future!" "What happens to my truck?" "I can't tell exactly what happens. I have to speak in vague statements. It's kinda how this time travel thing works." "Well, I appreciate you traveling through time in all but I'm gonna let my future write itself." "(sigh) YOU TRADE YOUR TACOMA IN FOR A PRIUS!!!" "I WHAT???? I'M COMING WITH YOU!"
Just an FYI, the reason it has an 85mph speedo is because it was a Government mandate for all US cars at that time. Mustangs and Corvettes also had an 85mph speedo. There are quite a few owners that have gotten a stock DMC to 120-130mph.
I am offended, absolutely appalled, that you didn’t review the time traveling feature. What a shame. I’M KIDDING!!! What a fantastic review, and I appreciate the personal and not-so-serious approach. Happy, HAPPY subscriber. God bless you, brother. Keep The King first, and He will reward you! ❤️
I'm a big fan of this car, so I wanted to point out some stuff, the car use a Y chassis similare to the lotus esprit coated in epoxy paint, an under body made out of fiberglass and panel of stainless steel, the car weight something about 1200kg relatively light for Americans car, but heavy for European standard, especially for a sports car. The car was originally designed with a rotary engine from Citroën the "birotor" it wasn't a big engine, could only deliver 110hp, the engine had a lot of reliability issues, and was only available in three car. the first concept car of the DeLorean used another engine, a flat four- cylinder by Citroën, it was delivered by them while they waited for the birotor that never came, this was basically two 2CV engine wielded together, making about 60hp, it was only a temporary solution, I imagine John DeLorean wanted a more futuristic engine than a V8, so he choose the PRV. Now by no means the PRV is a bad engine, on paper it's a modular aluminum block, it's a very tuner-friendly engine got up to 400hp from factory, it equipped some of the finest sports and racing car, like the Volvo 244, Peugeot P88, Alfa-romeo 155 dtm, Renault-alpine A130, it even was the first classic internal combustion engine to reach 400km/h. However, since the car was originally designed with a much smaller and lighter engine, the car's weight was unbalanced and wasn't handling as well as I could, even though it was using a complete independent suspension and four disk brake, I imagine DeLorean was restricted by his wallet, and the government regulation at the time on emissions and power, he had to choose the least powerful option. I think Americans are a bit dishonest when they say it slug-ish, I don't remember an American car having much better performance at that time. I want to add that in the movie the car was "dubbed" by the V8 in the Porsche 928.
The story at the end holding back the tears, when you knocked on the hood that got me lol i felt that, feel the exact same way ive seen back to the future so many times i cant count its been my fav movie for my entire life and the car was just perfect for the movie i didnt know anything about the world lol and i honestly thought thats what a time machine looks like, it wasnt a car to me, that movie and that car take me back in time, i cant imagine touching one and driving it, i would tear up aswell i just know it :)
Brother, me and my son have been watching "Back to the future" for the past few weeks. I'm happy to have came across your video which was just uploaded this year and also recently. Whats more epic, is that you ministered to me and my wife at the end of your video. Me and my wife never expected a message from the Lord within this video....its so easy to give in to the lust of life, but its all fleeting and ultimately leads to death. I am at a stage of my career where i want to do my best, yet i feel the need to move out from my comfort zone to speak hope and life through the message of the Lord. My dear brother in America, whatever you do, do it for the glory of God. I look forward to meet you at the throne room of our King Jesus, worshipping him. God bless you and your film crew, may your videos continue to bring joy, hope and unity to the people, and sharpen your skills, and may your and your team be the salt of the earth. If you do drop by any south east asian country, hit me up here, who knows me and my family get to show you around. Your brethren in Christ
Thank you for these kind words of affirmation I really appreciate it! I will pray for the Lord to move you out of your comfort zone and you will know it.
Issac your channel is Electric… And My childhood goal is own a DeLorean.. I got to see and sit in one. Haven’t driven one yet… So I feel on the dream.. And your spiritual base is Beautiful… keep up the Fantastic content… Inshallah and Peace
I was just looking up some info on the new DMC EV coming out..... then I found THIS! Love it and your review and I just subscribed. My son and I love watching Chris Fix and a couple of other channels and to see a young man doing some cool car/truck vids AND share his faith in oir Lord is AWESOME! Keep it up and I will keep you in prayer as you study His word, go through school and help lead others to Christ..... and have some cool ride reviews along the way!!!
Worst winter in years 81/82, recession (nobody sold cars in us in late 81, over production (1/5 of the total production was made in oct81. And about the performance... Have you checked the performance of 81 cars.... Mustang 140hp, trans am 200hp, ferrari 230hp... Etc
What is cooler than the DeLorean in this video, is your closing message. Not often do you see this, and it was awesome! I’ve never watched your videos before, but at the very beginning I was thinking how fun and cool you were. You can tell Jesus lives in your heart, before you said it. And don’t feel silly about being emotional about the car, I too watch Back to the Future over-and-over as a kid, had the same dream just like you. And God blessed me as well, and it was so awesome to hear some one else understand it and talk about it. Thank you Isaac!
Excellent review! Please pray that If it be compatible with the Lord's will that my back, shoulders, and other related health issues dating back 4 years ago will be healed completely. If it's not compatible, help me to have joy and find how to adapt to it.
I just prayed Colin, I resonated with this message so strongly. I’ve had nerve damage complications for about 5 years in my shoulders and back. About 2 years ago I found a physical therapist who gave me the correct exercises to take about 90% of the pain away. I remember in my darkest season asking for the same thing. If God wasn’t going to take it, strength to be content in the pain. I know God has got you, and I trust his will no matter what.
@@AlphaShark thank you sir. May God bless you and your ministry. I have been through therapy, doctors, chiropractic work, and other things. It is helped but some problems still exist. Whatever the Lord's will is I will accept it. I will keep you in my prayers as well.
Yeah I know people keep saying that! Because wouldn't me from the future be the one that bought the Prius? I had a longer joke where I say "just don't buy the Prius" and then future Isaac is like "oh yeah... I guess I won't" but I cut it down.
Speedometers going to 85 miles per our were function of government regulations and trying to keep fuel economy high. Carter era BS for pretty much all vehicles after 1973. Remember speed limit was 55 mph too.

Hi. Is that car a good car? I love it and I wanna one!
All these years later it doesn’t look old. Amazing vehicle. Truly timeless.

I spent the money and put power steering in mine. Made a world of difference. Especially when sitting still and the wheels aren't turning.

That car is very modern looking for its age. Also good explanation of the verse, it can be easy to take it out of context.
Great review and a great ending to the video.

The gullwing doors are what makes the car. Unfortunately if you turn it over, you can't get out. Scary stuff.
Mmm that is scary
This car is so retro Im gonna have to listen to some retrowave
Sounds like a plan
Great video. I have an 83 with now 31K miles (26K when I got it).
Wow that's awesome!
@@AlphaShark I was a BTTF fan as far back as I can remember. I always told myself I would own one someday.
My '81 just turned 38K miles. It lives in the garage under a car cover most of the time.
Another owner here. DeLoreans will never get old! #onepointtwentyonegigawatts
If you told young zim that he would review a DeLorean on youtube one day he would bounce off of every wall in the room.
I’m so glad that I found this! My favorite thing, God and a sub par favorite thing, the Delorean.
Heck yea that car is dope

When you drive a car without power steering, you're actually really driving a car for once. Same with manual transmission.
That last part!🤣
you always make me laugh... keep up the great job!!!!
I love this car so much but I love your Christian attitude even more than the car. I appreciate the review!

Ah yes the vision of infamous drug dealer John Delorean
Can you imagine what this car will be with a LS engine swap?
Does it rattle because the bolts are rusted?
