Got him first try after using this method.
I waited for dark realm form before summoning the scamps. I was busy just avoiding his attacks when I locked down and his health bar was almost gone.
It was beautiful.

Thanks for the help. This was an irritating boss. His combo woildnt let you dodge once youre caught in it which i found really cheap but this helped. I died the first time using 3. But the second time i was more careful and did it

Edit: After watching this video and I went on and tried this, summoned 3 Campus cats on the old Yokai's second form and they literally scratched him to death. Thank you so much for this.

Sadly I had no clay beacons when I reached this guy and I wasn’t about to leave and go get more. I unknowingly stopped playing this game 1 level from the end for 2 years. Killed to hi and kashin the first time but get wrecked on his revive. To hell with this. 2 year rust was too much. Thanks though lol
