    I hope you guys find this video useful if you are thinking about making the transition to a Montessori floor bed for your little one.

    This is so true! We have been using a floor bed since my daughter could crawl. She used to crawl to the door and cry until someone came and got her. Two weeks ago, (13 months) she walked over to the bed after crying and put herself to bed. You have to trust the process!

    We just started a floor her with our 22 month old. She slept in the family bed before that. Never liked a cot. Since I’m tandem feeding her and her 5 month old sister I’m sleeping in her bed for now. But it’s been such a positive change! She loves her room and that she can get in and out of bed herself! ❤ after Xmas I plan to move out slowly and she how she responds. 🤞

    We’ve started my 6mo on a floor bed (after switching from the SNOO bassinet.) My main concern is if I & my husband will be able to sleep if she is making noise while entertaining herself. She’s not yet very mobile, but will be soon, so I expect she’ll be awake more while I’m trying to sleep. I’m also concerned about her becoming overtired. She currently relies on our help to fall sleep. We will likely be working on getting her fall asleep independently soon.

    • @hazieandmotherhood
      @hazieandmotherhood  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Do you intend to have her floor bed in your bedroom?
      I would just put up with some noise that she makes at night as long as she's not crying and looking for you (at least at the beginning). If she enjoys exploring the room and playing, I think that's a good sign!
      Once they're done with exploring, kids usually go to bed when they're tired, and that's the point of having a floor bed.
      If noise is your concern, I'd shut the door and just watch her with a baby monitor. (And use ear plugs 😆)
      I'd let her do whatever she wanted to do before bed as long as she's safe.
      I'm planning to transition my 6week old baby to a floor bed soon and make a video. Hope my answer and the upcoming video can help you out in some small way. 😊

      @@hazieandmotherhood Thanks for the reply!! She is in her own room on the floor bed. But we have a monitor that will pick up both happy babbling & crying. I don’t want to miss the crying so that we can respond when she needs us. Just wondered how people handle that situation. I’m curious to know if you’ve had any issues with you child becoming overtired. Also, looking forward to the video on transitioning your newborn.

    Hi Hazie! It's so wonderful to find someone who is based in Australia and creates Montessori videos!
    You inspired me to transition our 15 mth baby to a floor bed! There were some initial learning curves but she has generally been sleeping well. Recently she's started to crawl off the mattress and sit in front of her bedroom door and just cries forever and won't go back to sleep. Did you experience any similar challenges with your bub? Any tips to help manage this phase would be helpful! Thanks

      The new concept of kids crying and let them cry is not an ideal rather not even a recommended one. U have to ask urself what is natural. If a baby is crying they are asking for attachment and closeness. And they need it. These so called psychiatrists on youtube and Instagram have no clue what they are doing. Also the psychiatrist for real also dont know what they are doign rather than only creating more disease of all sorts.
      U should do what you feel is natural and required for your baby rather than what is required for you and accept the recommendations jst because they sound cool.
      Not to mention that taking care of urself and finding ur own time to recharge is EQUALLY important not for urself but also for the kid to have a strong solid person to rely on:)

    • @hazieandmotherhood
      @hazieandmotherhood  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In the video, I did imply using a floor bed from birth. However, now that my son is 6 months old and comfortably sleeping in his own room on the floor bed, I want to emphasize that the timing is entirely up to you. We transitioned him at 5 months because that felt right for us. While many Montessori books say it's okay from the beginning, it's crucial to do what feels comfortable for you and your baby. Every child is different, and there's no one-size-fits-all approach. So trust your instincts!

      저도 이게 한국말로 뭘까 네이버에 찾아봤는데 뭔지 잘 안나오네요.. 이게 약간 수수깡같은 건데 수영할때 쓸수있게 큰사이즈로 만들어진거예요. 여기호주에서는 거의 2천원이면 살수있는건데 네이버는 말도안되게 삼사만원이네요..😕 오히려 네이버 찾아보니 아기침대 범퍼쿠션이나 원통형 다용도 쿠션이 더 싸고 잘나오는것같아요. 그런 쿠션을 침대 시트 밑에 넣어주시면 굴러떨어지는거 방지 가능합니다!!ㅎㅎ
