I bought quaquaval because my friends decided to start playing but I was the only one who didn’t collect cards growing up so I couldn’t build a deck. I am 2-0 and they are buying starting deck’s because the games weren’t close. You said baxcaliber didn’t make sense but his ability completely offsets the only downside to quaquaval’s spiral shot. And being able to place down energy as often as you want is very useful. But with the cards you added shutting down abilities I can see why he was taken out.
Bax is still overkill because your not dropping more than two enegy most times anyway. It does help for getting water shurikens though. I like this idea of the deck personally because you are already committed to quaquavel you get the draw power of the door and when paradox rift releases you get counter catcher you help you pick off luminions and squakabillies which you will need to do with a lower tier deck like this.
I’ve built a deck that’s very similar to yours but with with rotation coming I’ve replaced Medichan with Mew EX and replaced Klara with Rod and have 2 Klefki to stall them instead of your Lunatone, Solrock
I’m new to the TCG and I’m planning on playing casually as a way to make friends in a new country, would they Meowscarada one still be playable out of the box whilst I learn and whatnot? I won’t have the budget to make upgrades quite yet
I'd temper expectations early on winning games with it out of the box. There's a solid strategy here, but it most definitely will need a bit of help to win games. The best value it'll give is a starting point to build off, and key concepts to learn with.
@@goonsquadtcg thank you for the response! I think I might go with the Palkia deck available as it’s not far off my budget. I watched your video on that deck and the upgrades to it seem more feasible than this one! Thank you for the advice, love the videos!
Radiant Alakazam is what I'd refer to as a utility pokemon. It's primary purpose in the deck is a non-attacking role. The ability is why I'd include it. If you want to add one psychic, I would cut into your grass energy. I'm going to revisit Meowscarada in the coming weeks as I think it's poised to break out in April

Basically he simulated the same technique by replacing the whole Frigibax chain with a simple non-ex Quaquaval card.

Absolutely. Best of luck. If you need any help, I'm happy to assist
Nice helpful video, thanks!
Beginner here…How does the mewoscarada deck work if there’s no psychic energy? Edit: do I have to add psychic energy?
