I am from Malaysia. I built the charizard bibarel variant as i was inspired by one of my playmates from my local game store, he played charizard with bibarel (before the release of paradox rift) in one of the gym leagues of my local game store.
Charizard Bibarel was a deck I really tried to make work early on. The game wasn't quite ready for it. It's definitely one well be seeing alot of
Hello from USA
Great video for a new player thank you. The sections about not rushing the gameplan (e.g. holding the Exs until you absolutely need to evolve) and the matchups were so helpful
Absolutely.the hope is to share what I can to help people quickly skip past the beginner stages/learn lists faster
Pokemon go charizard is good
Charizard ex deck is very efficient with energy and therefore runs low energy. I versed a gengar ex from temporal forces and the doubling energy would be helpful in that case
These videos are the best!! Thank you!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for the kind words
Totally agree. One of the best in TH-cam
awesome content. thanks. well-timed too, since this build is growing in popularity :)
Thank you. I planned them early January, and the stars aligned 😅
Can't wait to see the lost zone charizard deck video! The bell is on! Lol
We are working on it. I'm waiting for PTCGlive rotation to hit before putting something out, but it's coming
I'm not really good at playing charizard but it's good for a learning i think, cause im very use to play with miraidon and releg decks and mewtwo arch decks 😂,nice tutorial man,i would learn that for real😂
This is exactly the type of content I’ve been in search of for post rotation. What post ro deck are you doing next?
I want to cover one more of these for Charizard and then delve into some others. I'm not quite sure what's next, but I'm always taking suggestions
Goon, thanks for taking time of your life to make this content. Looking forward to the next hour
Thank you for tuning in
I am new to pokemon. This is exactly the type of content i have been searching for. Insta-subbed 🙏
Also, as a veteran mtg and marvel snap player, when i first started playing pokemon tcg and understanding the mechanics i felt like charizard ex was just friggin busted. Glad to know my initial assessment was spot on lol.
Also i have found the best way to play around path is to just ignore it. The games where i ignore the path and just hit my energy drops on my benched charmander so when he evolves i dont need to use infernal reign i usually pull out the win. But i back it up with kindler and energy retrieval to keep digging through my deck while making my energy drop each turn.
Thank you for the kind words and welcome to the gang.
It has all you could ask for especially for a heavier commitment Type of card (Stage 2)
This is also really good. You don't have to tackle the path head on. I find just knocking it out of the way when you're preparing for a big turn is the easier way.
How are you finding Kindler? That's a card I've been experimenting with for other fire decks, but they play 8-10 basic fire
So detail, we love it
We're trying 😁
New to playing and I'm gunna definitely utilise rhe radiant zard more haven't done that enough
I definitely think it's a really good card. In early drafts of the list I had multiple supplementary attackers, but found Rad Zard just filled their role . It's so good. Before I consider a third attacker, I'd look at Hisuian Heavy Ball. 😁
Thank you!
great content :) thanks!!!
You don’t have to make a whole new video but could you give me your best list for a bibarel pidgeot ex hybrid deck? And what are your thoughts on it?
I’ve been considering doing it after playing-and struggling, with both versions of the current zard decks.
I would honestly just remove the gengar package and add the 1-0-1 Pidgeot to Bibarel. You'd probably want another switch card or Prime catcher, but the Hybrid builds make the other engine a luxury in theirs. So Pidgeot is an option in Bibarel just as Bibarel would only be a just in case in pidgeot.
I'm not as inclined to put bibarel into the Zard Pidgeot build because it already struggles with mobility. If you add a two retreat pokemon in pre-ace spec, then you're in for a bad time .
Also, if you don't mind me asking- what has you struggling with zard? Did I miss something or has it been poor starts?
@@goonsquadtcg it was poor starts with a combination of me not deck checking or prize mapping good enough. I made some mis plays and lost some beginning coin flips against mirror which kinda sucked. Also the opponent tended to be incredibly aggressive and would boss KO bibarel or pidgeot when I was playing that version of the deck. I’d also get pretty unlucky with the prizes. Prizing tm evo, or a bidoof, or in one case 2 charmander, a zard, a super rod, and 2 energies. I haven’t ran the below list in any locals yet. I just built it last night.
Here’s my list at the moment, I’ve opted to keep the gengar line because there has been at least 1 snorlax stall deck at my local cups and challenges.

Thoughts? Also I like the idea better of a 1-1 pidgeot line over my 1-1 bib. It is supposed bib zard hybrid, so it makes more sense tbh.
Hey man no disrespect but I fucking love your videos brother, keep it up you rock.
Thanks, man. No disrespect was taken. Appreciate it 🙏
Flame veil Charmeleon is protected from Devolution
Is there a more recent video? Maybe post stellar crown
Not for Bibarel Zard. Charizard Pidgeot has mostly overtaken as the go to build. I also was on a small hiatus due to health and family reasons. Looking to get back into covering things this week
@@goonsquadtcgthnx for the reply
I appreciate it
Hi there. Was just curious why it's better to go first against chien pao and gholdengo
You want the chance to evolve first. I know we play TM Evo, but they can still rip your board apart with Cologne+Moonlight Shuriken. As we bench wide, we can't evolve everyone, and we can't afford to underbench.
When we get Buddy-Buddy Poffin, we have T1 and T2 to really search for basics before they can hit us, so we're getting more chances to stabilize.
@@goonsquadtcgthank you for your insight!
If one were to make the post rotation zard decklist how much do u guys think it should go for?
As in to buy? It's not bad honestly. The most expensive cards are Charizard ex and Forest Seal Stone
Limitlesstcg.com has a deck viewer that also gives you estimated cost in USD. They had a few of those Charizard Bibarel lists going for $31USD.
I've purchased three playsets of Charizard now, and I only did that because of how low costs are
@@goonsquadtcg Thanks for the reply! Was curious because I recently got a zard bibarel deck online for almost the same price as the limitlesstcg link but without some cards (forest seal stone, pidgeot ex etc.). Deal I got is prolly a bit overpriced but at least the worry of getting the essential cards one by one is gone, since its hard to build a deck from wer i live.
More of these lol!!
I have one more charizard focus then it's on to other profiles 🫡
Paldean Fates Charmeleon also protect itself from Devolution
Yes you are correct
So do i go first or second with this deck? (If you said it i must have missed it sorry)
You go second in majority of match ups. You want a t1 Evo play or a wide bench
Awesome thanks for your quick answer! :) and cool style of video, new to your channel, there are definitely not enough good guides out there!
Thank you. I'm happy to help. I'd love to put more guides out at a faster rate, but they take time. I appreciate the kind words
Can’t stop laughing about playing Pokémon go to resist pressing pokestop 😂
Sometimes you really have to drive it home 😂
Bruh now the zard mob will get stronger, not sure how to feel about that..
I figured it was good to cover the Zard early and get it out of the way 😆😅
@@goonsquadtcg rip..appreciated though, may as well get the practice in now!
Can I have deck list
It is in the description
Why not just play one minior to make snorlax matchup absolutely free?
It's not a guarantee. Brave Charms make it awkward. Gengar, let's you control the game more
@@goonsquadtcg Gengar also has a 19.5% chance to see either gastly or gengar prized, whereas prizing the one minior is a 10% chance. I think that's significant enough to consider it, but in conclusion ban snorlax and we can all be happy haha
Greninja hits the 100hp charmeleon for weakness x2..no?
Not on the bench, weakness does not apply.
Not if the Charmeleon is on the bench
The last blurb of text on Radiant Greninjas attack reads, " Don't apply weakness or resistance to benched pokemon."
If you bench manaphy, AND they canceling Cologne, they only get one. I had to keep mentioning it. It's also why I'm heavily leaning towards a second 100HP meleon
Last sunday, my opponent who played chien pao ex; he attempted to sabotage my setup by using moonlight shuriken to KO 2 charmeleon (1 is 100 HP and another one is 90HP) from my bench.
However, he was only able to knock out my mysterious tail mew and 90HP charmeleon as moonlight shuriken didn’t apply weakness to bench pokemon
Legit braindead deck. As a new player. I don't want to play anymore because of this overplayed trash. Its braindead. You literally are either full gas hitting 180+ turn 2. or stalling and letting the deck play itself and closing your eyes as your Pidgeot + V star carries you to get every single piece you need. I legit don't want to play anymore because 50% of my games are against this brain dead trash.
Womp womp
@@Bingusvgcfound the Zard meat rider
I'd go give Chien Pao or Dialga a go. You have good Zard Match ups, but trade less favorably vs other things. If the games not enjoyable, there's also nothing wrong with taking a break. Dragapult is coming to knock it off the throne
Charizard noob shame on you 👎
I've been playing for 10 years, but yes I love Charizard. Best we may ever get and I'm here to enjoy it
