That shelf you made for the FR nut is insane. You should start selling something like that for Squiers and other common guitars. Nothing like that on the market.

Dude... That's one of the coolest custom guitars I've ever seen. Phenomenal job recreating it. I've always been a huge fan of Sammy Hagar and his time in Van Halen. Having grown up in that time I really appreciate that you aren't just recreating a guitar, but also an era in music. I really enjoyed the video and appreciate the attention to detail you put into making it. Super cool.

Also that yellow / red combo looks great. You really nailed the colors. 5150 guitars are cool. But it's great to see someone do a Sammy guitar, especially that one.

The shim for the locking nut is a stroke of genius. I ended up putting a Kahler string lock that goes behind the original nut on my project, but your solution is absolutely perfect!
I’m interested to hear how you find the bridge dives with it decked flat on the body top. That’s how I wanted to set line up, but I found that deep dives were restricted as the leading front edge of the baseplate wanted to pivot into the top of the body. The only two solutions I could see was a) route a small channel between the mounting studs so the bridge could pivot into it, or b) raise the bridge so it was floating. I went with option 2, which is cool but I really liked the idea of the baseplate making full connection with the body for maximum tone.

HI! I saw your post on the Baretta Special page on Facebook. Fantastic job man! Seriously, really well done! Don't be surprised if you start getting alot of questions, or offers for the part you 3D printed. It's difficult to install the locking nut on that neck, due to the way they cut the nut at the factory. Your design and 3D printed idea is the best I've seen so far. The others I've seen aren't done as well, and frankly look ugly : ). Beautiful job once again! : )

The scale is 25 1/2 inches, so did you just measure from the nut where the string goes over the nut, and again down a line in the center of the fretboard 25.5 inches and draw a perpendicular line and then measure the 74 mms it whatever the distance is that the screws in the body are separated for the trem?

Beautiful!!! Quick question, where did you put the trem post holes in comparison to the six screw holes? Were they in line with the holes already there?

Wow ! I have never seen anyone just rout away with no template! That was impressive! I don't want to destroy the guitar now! I just don't like Sammy ! But you did a great job !

Wow! Awesome build, I'm thinking of buying one and adding a Floyd to it. What height neck shims did you use? Thanks!

For neck shims i think they were 0.5mm? depends on the tremolo, i'd suggest you get multiple heights

Is the red tremolo repainted? do you use powder coating or just using spray?
