Out of Chopin’s Ballades, Preludes, Etudes and Nocturnes, nocturnes are the worst to listen to (still obviously beautiful but that just tells you how great of a composer he was)😅
Nocturno Opus 72 no.1 is my absolutely my favourite and is quite challenging on the piano, so i am still learning. Chopin composed and dedicated (1827) this Nocturno to her sister Emilia Chopin who died in that year probably from the same illnes tuberculosis as Frédéric. Every time I play Nocturno Opus 72 no.1 on my piano, I feel the enormous intensity, deep mourning and screaming (revolt). I can imagine the feelings of Chopin, especially when you lose your sister at young age (15 years old). But what I do not understand is how that is possible as a 17-year-old boy (composed in 1827) to transfer such emotions and pain to an instrument. You're grandiose Chopin ..!
@@Bouvier_Abroad Simple in comparison to his other pieces; those short runs are not contradicting left hand notes, instead they play while the left hand plays one note, and really, the most complex portion would be around 3:06.
Hi ! Just wanted to say : this channel is now my reference for any style of piano pieces, so thank you so much for these awesome videos, you totally deserve more views!
Rubenstein is honestly boring. Although he clearly had an intuitive understanding of how to play Chopin, his interpretations just come off as stale to me. As if he sought no further than just playing the notes, instead of the music (though, he's still better than the atrocious Vladimir Horowitz). Idil Biret, Martha Argerich, Krystian Zimmerman, Alfred Cortot and Evgeny Kissin are far more interesting Chopin-players (also of other composers such as Liszt, Schubert and Schumann).
James Kan considering how precise the notes are and how consistent the tempo is, I dont think this a real person playing this definitely, computer generated
Not bad for an 17 year old. It sends many emotions. Thank you for sharing . I would ask myself, what he would have composed if he lived 20 years longer.

Let's agree. All Chopin's nocturnes are the best
Definitely.

I never thought anything could top nocturne in C sharp minor, then I heard this masterpiece. Greatest piece ever written. Period!
The left hand is amazingly well writen, it's interwoven with the right hand. This is so beautiful.
Honestly, this Nocturne is underappreciated. It's simple, yet when hearing, it seems so complex
I don’t know about it being simple . I was trying to play it last night 😅 I’m trying to decide if I’m up for the task of mastering it or not

It's the best nocturne
I think Op. 48 No. 1 is the best
George Giakouros ναι καλα οτι πεις... τα χεις ακουσει ολα τα υπολοιπα?
My favorite Nocturne by far.
Daniel Hankes I agree that's a nice one too
I prefer op.9 no.2
If any of you want to hear a master, listen to Arthur Rubenstein play this piece.
LOL
=333e
I think Richter's version is the best interpretation so far

I like his version. Especially in my car. You can barely hear the bass notes. I do have to admit that it's missing a particular emotion to it though.
Chopin loved his polyrythms.
beautiful piece. one of my favorites along with nocturne in c sharp minor and e flat major
Came because I'm struggling at 0:25
Playing 4 times on the right and 6 on the left and getting the right timing is so hard
@Farid Saavedra no I have a real book, it made me just practice a bit the part, but it's totally ok now, almost know half of the piece by heart now
Sevilla finishing 3rd in the UCL group to get relegated to the Europa league is the most realistic thing here
I finally finished it 😭👌(༎ຶ ෴ ༎ຶ)
congratulations!
Congratulations x2! 👏🏻(´;ω;`)👏🏻
Congrat. I’m almost done my self
ahaha i just started learning it
Was it hard to learn? And would you say it's harder that his most known Nocturnes such as Nocturne in C sharp minor or op 9 no 2?
What an amazing piece!
Polacy mieli tyle fantazji do muzyki ! :)

I have to agree, the same patterns of notes on repeating sections have the exact same length. Way too precise.
Awesome to see you back. I discovered your channel just after you stopped and it's just the best places for MIDI's :)
Yea the colors are great
anyone got tips at the very tricky trilly part at around bar 30? the timing, the trills, the chromatic run is so hard to polish

Not sure what happened at 2:55 but that is incorrect.
1:54 feels so sad...
7 of 9 played this in ST: Voyager.
I wonder how true this is to the original played by Chopin himself. I bet it would sound totally different and mind blowing. This is great nonetheless
the first sequence is the same as in another one of his nocturnes, both are amazing pieces though
Which nocturne? i'm very familiar with his nocturnes and I don't recall hearing something that sound similar to this
@@ethanmiller1143 moment musicaux no.4 by Rachmaninoff sounds kinda like it
Why Chopin Started on minor but ended on Major?
picardy? it's common
Because is Chopin
Picardy, it means raise the 3rd. When you raise the 3rd in a minor key, it turns major.
Pretty much happens in every Nocturne. I guess it's like a strong resolution.
because he convert a minor in major this is a for of apreciate the life
Bravo ! Could we have Midi files ?
Could make this masterpiece of Debussy nocturne in d flat in synthesia
And thanks
3:08 I can do that if I press the B flat with my nose and it's still gonna be hard
