This Jasmine is so pretty, I’m so glad you love her!! I was lucky enough to go to D23 and get the expo one, and I do prefer her. I totally get the simplicity argument but for me personally, considering how much these cost, I crave all the extra details! 😆 My biggest issue with this one is the price jump to $150 when the D23 one was $180. The D23 one just has soooo much more detail whereas this Jasmine just doesn’t do anything to justify the price hike in comparison. She should have at least had the headband if there’s only a $30 difference between the two. I agree that each are beautiful in their own ways though, I really love the shape of the general release top and the scarf!
I don't have the D 23 one either, but I got this one and I love her. One thing I really disliked about the D 23 one was a skirt over her pants. I'm so glad this one doesn't have it. I do wish it included the lamp though. I liked the crown as well, but it didn't seem constructed super good, so I could live without it😊
this outfit is reminiscent of the outfit Jasmine wears at the very end of the movie when they reprise a whole new world that we only see for less than 30 seconds. being that its purple

I like her. I definitely will have to get back in habit of finding out about the Disney 17“ dolls. Merida is awesome. One day I will have to find both kida from Atlantis and the Mary Blair Alice tribute 17” dolls. I really would like it hear more news on these 17”Disney dolls so I can fallow them when there are releases.
I got her too. I am going to swap outfit from my teal Jasmine. This is a little to plain for me. I liked the d23 Jasmine better. I prefer more detail on my doll outfits. The design of the outfit is nice though.
Love the doll but she doesn’t read as middle eastern to me. She feels very south Asian inspired which doesn’t surprise me since Disney always confuses south Asian and middle eastern culture
I LOVE THIS JASMINE DOLL! But yeah I do wish they at least kept her tiara. From classic doll to special doll like this Disney store always taking away her iconic headband
I love that Jasmine doll. I think she is the prettiest Jasmine doll ever. I can't stand the original style dolls that have the strange earrings that are molded on her head.
that fabric looks like that because it’s woven with different silks on each part of the grain, so on one side of the weaving it’s pink, and the other side is blue! a lot of sari are made of silk and fake polyester silk like this one!!
I'm a sucker for a bit of sparkle on my dolls but I agree about this specific doll. She's much better than the D23 version, my only issue with her is that she doesn't have the headpiece. I would have much preferred to have had that then the brackets especially seeing as she has a sash that covers her wrist area. I really want to get her but given the time of year I have to be picky because they are so expensive and with the snow white coming out next.. I hope she sticks around in the store for a while but I have a feeling that she won't.

I restyled the hair on mine. The fabrics and all of the little details were really impressive on this one. Great review.
