There's like 3 gillion identical "accurate" Ariel dolls, honestly its refreshing to see such a new fresh take. It reminds me of the Hans Christian Andersen version of the tale where she turns into sea foam
I don't know why but her dress scheme reminds me of the interior of a scallop clamshell and she's the pearl. Kinda like a nod to her moment where she wasn't in the shell upon her introduction but instead exploring and enjoying her treasure trove. I adore this version of Ariel😍😍
Something I don't understand is how whenever Disney tries to create unique designs that we've never seen, collectors bash it saying they're ugly and the designer needs to be fired. Then, they put out fanart of how the design "should have looked" and it's just a simple dress that's sparkly.
@@xCanadensis Do people not understand clothes behave differently on a human body than in a doll? It's so easy to have a simple design look cluttered and bulky when you have less space to execute it on
I don't even collect Disney dolls and I've been SOOO tempted by her. She immediately reminded me of the Birth of Venus as well. I love that they pulled off the seashell look with the dress. She is really something special and it's good to see someone actually talking positively about her. ❤
I think this doll is gorgeous, got her on day one (she shipped incredible fast too lol). I understand that some people hate this doll and that’s valid but SOME of the criticisms are ridiculous. The weirdest critique I’ve seen is someone saying they hate it because she “wasn’t what they were expecting” and while I get that it can be jarring it’s a really weak criticism hiding an attachment to a pre-established design which is NOT what this line is about. I really appreciate the experimenting with these new dolls and I hope they keep it up
I think she's sooo interesting and pretty, something about her looks so ethereal and I love it. It kinda reminds me of the original little mermaid story where she turns into seafoam, and I know that's a weird thought but it feels a bit charming tp me. I've been loving all the dolls that came out in this series, they're really different and unique, so I don't get any of the hate they're getting.
Ohhh I think that interpretation is really beautiful! And I don’t think the seafoam aspect of the story is particularly gory or weird, I believe she chooses that over being selfish and killing the other woman and that made it a really noble and beautiful story by the end. Also extremely sad but she got rewarded too. I could see the wind spirits part possibly being the inspiration behind the Greek winged head piece?
I think the reason the pearls are reminiscent of reins on a horse is because the headpiece is actually designed to look like seahorses :) remember Triton's carriage? She added so many fun details like that, I think she did great! 💙🧜🏻♀️
You can't imagine how happy i am when you say that you PLAY with them. My parents made fun of me for so long, and by showing them your videos i have convinced them that i'm not a six year old just because i like dolls. Thank you girl ily
Whaaat? I don’t understand the negative comments to this doll. I personally love the dress and the coral and teal combo on her. Its so unique and looks elegant.
I have no real emotional attachment to Ariel: I think I saw the movie once. So, I don’t really care if a doll is movie-accurate. As a doll collector, I see nice concepts and execution here. I like the way this doll looks different from other Ariel dolls, but still looks aquatic. I don’t really like the skin shimmer, but I understand why it’s there. If I had more money, I would get her, but I can only afford a few from this series and there are others I could want more.
I love the Ariel doll. Yeeees! She also reminds of the "Birth of Venus" painting that's exactly what I thought of when I first saw her! I love her. She's beautiful. A work of art. I wish I could afford to buy her.
Wow she's one beautiful gorgeous doll in person This Ulimate Disney Princess Collection doll Ariel is just stunning and I love her outfit both of them the 80s outfit premiere Ariel and the Ariel with her goddess looks she's definitely a doll I will purchase. Can't wait for more videos that you show in you tube .
The design honestly does not represent the Ariel we know from the movie. But in theory she is technically a goddess (Poseidon - Triton stuff) I just love the goddess vibes and the ethereal-ness vibe but still has a warrior leader vibe. She kinda have a little modern twist to it. Honestly if Ariel's coronation as Queen was ever shown, she would slay this outfit or atleast the vibe of it.
I love the dress and face for her, but there is something about the execution of the head piece that isn't working for me. Maybe if it had a more pearlescent finish? It just looks a little too plastic and not as polished as the rest of the look. On a more positive note, I love the effort put into the design for the back of the dress. For a doll that most people won't experience out of the box, its shows the love that the designer put into the doll.
Some of the dolls in this Designer collection line have a "mythological" vibe about them that I love. This Ariel has this kind of vibe for me. I don't collect these but I happened to have bought 2 "mythological goddesses" heavily reduced in the Disney store last week. I love them. They look amazing and I am delighted to have them.
She is my favorite princess. And specifically this doll is my favorite Ariel doll ever. She reminded me very much of an ancient Greek woman, the headpiece is what I love the most. I am very excited about this doll. 🔱🤩
I do agree with you about this doll. I love seeing them in all kinds of different ways. This doll was on my top list to have. And I love her. I'm so glad that you got her, and you said that they are ment to be different. So that means a lot. But I think she is just amazing and beautiful as well.💞
It’s weird that people want to see the same doll over and over again :/ I’m so tired of mermaid ariels and blue dress Cinderella’s… literally anything else would be exciting
I've been reading a book about the mythological origin of mermaids, and I think this design is perfect to represent it. Mermaids first appear as winged beings in the Odyssey and began to be represented with a fish tail in the Middle Ages, I believe that this doll is a syncretism of the two versions, it is so beautiful.
I really like this version of Ariel, it’s such a cool design, she almost makes me think of some kind of God of the sea vibe or queen of the sea with the dress design and headpiece :)
I think she is gorgeous and very creative. I personally don’t care for the purple one. She’s a pretty doll but other than her hair and face I don’t see Ariel too much in her design. This new one reminds me of the mermaid concert in the beginning of the movie. The dip dyed tulle reminds me of a prima ballerina tutu. I love her.
I’ve wanted to comment this for a couple of videos now, but I finally have enough energy and will power to comment it haha Thank you sm for making your videos. Your so unapologetic and genuine in your love for dolls and I can really feel how happy they make you through your videos. Genuinely, on a hard day when I get a notification for one of your videos and watch I lose so much stress that’s built up through the day and seriously feel happier. Thank you:).
I love her ariel is my favourite princess since i was a kid and this doll is so pretty and i love your videos you put so much effort making every single video and you also upload daily which is even better and also uploading daily means more hard work is put so i really appriciate it
I really love this doll and I think she is absolutely stunning! But for me, I just can't justify the prices for the designer collection anymore. I can with the 17 inch, because of the height of the dolls. But with these it does feel like I have a overly priced barbie doll. I am really sad by it, because I see what the concept is and I like it, but the price is just too much. I love to watch your videos! It is so relaxing to listen to! :)
I prefer designer because the dresses are just so exciting- it’s really cool to have a doll who will never have another like her :D but the 17 inch are definitely more worth it- way more fabric, higher quality all around and more hair.
Personally I really love her she’s super cute and yes she isn’t true to the film but that’s the point of the series. I wouldn’t spend that much money on her because I’m not a huge Disney doll fan but if I was I’d be happy to have her in my collection. The negativity makes no sense to me as she has everything that pretty much most Disney Princess collector dolls have, great quality pieces, fantastic face molds, and beautiful presentation, the fact that people are mad because of the outfit choice is really dumb. She’s a gorgeous doll.
I got her for Christmas and I think she's my favorite desiger so far! I am really liking the Mulan design so far too, so she might be my fav when I get her.
I genuinely LOVE her redesign finally something not green and purple lmao. Reminded me of emrata's met gala look, amore couture take on aphrodite/siren
I love this collection, and am getting all of them!!! I’m sure my husband is not so happy cost wise , but I LOVE seeing them in a beautiful gala modern twist outfit! I think it makes them look even more expensive and beautiful. I can’t wait to get Mulan! Just ordered her. Also, want to see your review on her, I like your perspective.
I love the ear pieces, and the purse and the birth of Venus-like shell behind her thing. It's so cool. Giving Ariel like Greek goddess inspiration is so rad and inspired! I didn't pick her up because I'm not crazy about the face or skin choices, and I think the outfit is a little... half baked, but some of the hate for the outfit is so weird! It's so fascinating!
I can’t get over the shell- it’s SO COOL! I wasn’t fully on board with the skirt before she came home but now I get it. I normally hate sheer over layers to be perfectly honest ahaha. But the shoes are so cool so I’m glad I can actually see them :3
Im glad my facebook group love this doll and no one chew her out. I must say i fell in love with this doll its the only one that i did and i had to get her and now she is the center of my ariel girls
I remember when the Live Action Belle came out and people everywhere were so horrible about the film collection doll. Even news outlets covered how awful she was. They tried something new, and it didn't work too well on her face, but she wasn't ugly, and her clothes were lovely. Ever since the outrage over her, they haven't made film collection dolls. I really enjoyed them because they were high quality, but cheaper than limited editions. It's nice to see Ariel out of the box. I haven't been that interested in this last designer series, but I would never badmouth someone for loving it. Dolls appeal to all of us in different, personal ways.
I think after watching your video I prefer the 2021 doll - specifically because of the colours on her dress! Thank you so much for putting the premiere doll in as well... it was nice to see them together and I have been on the fence about buying her but your video really helped me decide. thanks!
You DEFINITELY have time to save for her and think since the edition size is enormous. I think in a few years she’ll be much less hated? She looks a lot older and I think it’s a really cool interpretation of Ariel!
I do not know why people hate so much on this doll. She is beautiful and the best Ariel doll for me. I love her face, hair, dress, shoes and of course headband which is so cool and unique. People say that she looks like sea goddess but I think she looks more like Andersen’s version when she turns into sea foam and becomes the daughter of air. That’s why she has wings decoration. She is my favourite Ariel doll. Btw I do not think that these dolls should cost 130 usd but maybe 60 usd would be fine.
I overall really enjoy this designer line mostly because I missed the one in 2011 where all the princesses were out so I think this is nice for new collectors to collect all the princesses !! And their designs have been interesting and very unique to each character!! I am mostly excited for Tiana, Belle and Snow White what about you ?
I’m SO excited to get them all! I’m most excited for TIANA, new face mold Rapunzel, the first designer Merida, the first non-Fairytale Elsa and Anna and Mulan!!! :D basically half the line bahahaha
I've been WAITING for this video. 😂 I'm so pleased to know you love her. I really didn't think otherwise but I had to know what you thought. I absolutely love this doll. I love the baby hairs too and I don't really see the issue people have with them. To be honest, they're really not that noticeable when you display her anyway. I hope they give Tiana baby hairs. This Ariel is my favorite of the Designer dolls. Her face is gorgeous and her hair is incredible. And the dress is amazing.
She gives me Ghouls Rule vibes. Pretty munch an art piece . Of course I bought her right away . She’s way better in person. I’m glad they’re doing something new. If she just had the tail with a fancy top. I would’ve passed her up.
I looove the way they snuck her shell top into the dress design!! So creative and fashionable! I think Jasmine is still my favorite but this doll is the most unique and different and that is really exciting for me! And yessss the ghouls rule vibes are definitely there!
This doll gives me very much og little mermaid story vibes, where she dies and becomes a spirit of the air. I do have to admit I didnt like her when pictures were first leaked but in person she's a million times better. Also I noticed in just the right lighting the pearlescent sheen lights up a tiny spot under her neck kinda like her voice in the movie
Oh my god I love your observation about the lighting… I see it too… And yesss! Disney left out the most meaningful part of the story (they had to since Ariel was dead at that point in the original) and it’s cool to see a possible nod to it here!
She is a super pretty doll and so full of gorgeous details. For me something feels off balance in the design. I don't know if a little drape sleeve or something would have remedied that? or a cuff or something? Nothing overpowering, just a little more balance between the space on the arms and the heaviness the headpiece brings around the face. I adore the purse!! But feel the headpiece pearls and bag handle are competing a bit. Again, really love so many of the elements but yeah there's a little balance missing for me. I love they went for something very different though. Adore this color on her. The Caribbean and birth of Venus vibes are perfect. styling is great! I'm very intrigued how the rest of this line will be.
I love this doll, I still don't get why people hate her so much. She's so different, and that's fantastic imo. Also, white people do have baby hair at times - seen a lotta people say we don't - my baby sibling had an entire second row of bangs made of baby hair under their normal bangs when they were a kid.
She's beautiful and I love the birth of Venus motif. My only criticism is that I find the new face mould a bit too long and it gives me Aurora vibes rather than what I associate Ariel with (shorter and slightly rounder face)
I really like the design of the doll. The only thing I’m not a big fan is the sheen on her face, like it looks oily and I don’t really like it but that’s it. I love the gradient, ear pieces and the pearls!
I watched a You Tube video review of her just showing a picture of her and just looking at the picture I didn't care much for her. After watching your video and seeing her out of the box and seeing all of her details I really think the picture does not do justice for how beautiful she really is. Just goes to remind you not to judge a book by its cover!
This one was my favourit out of the collection. I Think the color on her is so beautiful. She is the daughter of Triton from greek mythology, so the headpiece is spot on for me. Don’t get the hate either
Also, I like her much more than the 80’s Ariel. I Think her face looks a bit older, so I’m imagining her being from the second movie. So this is grown up Ariel. I like that a lot.
She definitely looks older- a bit like her mom :) which is so cool! You can REALLY see that the designer loves Ariel. All of the dolls reflect a deep understanding and love for the character which is so refreshing to see :3 not just pretty dresses… although I do love a good pretty dress
I can say that I personally do not like this doll without being impolite and I think that mainly the extreme hate on social networks to this piece especially is due to the fact that Ariel is the favorite princess, I even read forbes once that if princesses were real celebrities , Ariel would have the greatest fortune of all, and well I think that's where the courage of most of the fans comes from, there are many people who expect to see new versions of Ariel, for the fans it is disappointing if you don't like one or if you don't They do so great in the design, although it is good for you that if you liked it I am a fan of your channel and I would very much like to hear your opinions about the princesses thanks to your video I bought Kida's haha, but with this Ariel I will really wait next year to see if they release a new version of Ariel😍 and it makes me a little sad for not buying this but not to mention: /
I completely understand that her design is a bit weird and different and I’m so sorry if anything I said made it feel like that opinion isn’t acceptable! I’m just…. Tired.. from weeks of people just completely lambasting and saying really ugly things to the designers. There’s lots of designs I dislike but that doesn’t reflect on the designers at all. I do wish we got a masquerade Ariel hehe… she would have been so interesting too! She was notably absent!
@@xCanadensis OMG! That would be epic!!!😍😍😍 fingers cross, haha and when they release the live action I’m sure that we will have more doll of the cartoon version of Ariel too😍🙌🏻
@@xCanadensis I feel sad for the designers too, I think it's obvious that all of them are trying to give us different and more unique interpretations of the characters, but that's the most hated part of this collection. And I mean, even if you don't like the vision that the designer had, that doesn't mean it's awful or bad designed. You can see the amount of love and effort put into this dolls, and even if you don't happen to like them it's not okay to harass or say horrible things to the people who spent hours working on these just because you don't think that character would wear something like that.
I'm not a Disney collector but the stuff that I've heard from people who are, regarding the responses to the new doll releases from this year, is brutal... I understand a little constructive criticism but they're really tearing into these poor designers simply because a doll wasn't like, tailored to everything they wanted specifically...? Even if you don't like every element there is still a lot of things to appreciate about this doll. :-(
They’re usually incredibly negative but this year has been shocking… I just don’t see how not liking them is such an issue that people feel safe insulting the artists and saying they should be fired etc… it’s gross. If I don’t like a doll then I just… don’t need to buy the doll? And it doesn’t matter if other people love the doll, no change in my opinion or the validity of my opinion. It’s so bizarre. I have been extremely close to unfollowing friends I’ve had for years in the community because of really gross comments I’ve seen :/ I don’t mind light joking or criticism but they have been directed towards the artists which is unacceptable
Hi, I have enjoyed watching your videos for a while and this is my first time commenting on one of them. I understand what you mean about all the negative and hateful comments because that designers will read them and that’s not cool. I’ve personally like this design, I would just remove the headband on mine if I get her, just personally not a fan of it. And I would’ve preferred if her sequent skirt underneath was a little longer, but other than that she’s a really pretty doll. I’m a little short on cash right now so I didn’t get any of the new designer dolls released, but if I did get one of them it would probably be Mulan; based on her promo pictures I like her design the best so far. She looks so fierce; I love it. Thanks again for all your wonderful reviews☺️
FHDHDHDF I AM *DYING* AT “THE REIGNS ON A HORSE” COMMENT,, lmaoo I thought it was interesting design but I’d never thought of it that way, but my favorite is definitely the new one because her design is so nice
Told myself I’d only get Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan and Tiana but this is the first Ariel to really stand out to me. I’m not a huge fan of the bottom half of the dress but the doll is sooo beautiful. I wonder if the reason why this line is getting so much unreasonable hate is because there isn’t a specific theme for the designers to stick to. The whole “this character wouldn’t wear this” argument is what keeps Disney recycling designs but this modern update/twist is so needed for the princesses. I hope Disney isn’t discouraged and tries to go in this direction again but with a direct theme
I think most of the critism thsi doll has recieved is actually because (from a prespective of aesthetics and tastes) she does look somewhat tacky. I do not say this doll is bad. She has interesting details and accessories. There is effort. However, as a whole, the design comes across as many ideas put together without thhem being cohiseve and complementing each other. Her head accessory, purse, red hair, see-through dress with a gradient and the shell-type tail seem to fight for the spot to be the central piece the look is build around. It is just too much to look at honestly. But then again, tastes and opinions differ and this doll sure can satisfy many collectors dreams.
I think what puts me off and probably others is that the sort of Greek references don't seem to go with Ariel's character or location. The face sculpt is also a little harsh being that Ariel is one of the younger princesses. But I actually like the short skirt under the long tulle, because it almost makes her look like she has a jellyfish for a skirt.
My response was always “you saved $140 and you can put that towards a doll you like!” But that usually made them angrier? At this point most of the community just needs to start making customs because the actual releases will never fit their standards- which is totally valid and fine but it’s annoying to hear about for a month straight
IF I didn't have the Disney Ariel connection in my head, I think, I would like her better. I don't like when they look too different, but, as I've learned, resembling the animation isn't the point of this line. Obviously some things, like hair and eye color remain the same. Edited to add, she is a really, REALLY pretty doll.
Yes! I figured Ariel would sell out first so I prioritized! Next paycheck (if possible- we had a car emergency eat savings…) I should be able to get her!
I’m not fully on board with Pocahontas (I’m getting her but some pieces have to go) but I truly love that each design is speaking to different people and giving off different vibes. We’ve had so many of the exact same doll (especially with poor Cinderella) so I’m very excited for all of these new interpretations! Unfortunately I feel that the community may kill any chances of this happening ever again
I haven’t reviewed Mulan or Pocahontas yet. Money is tight right now as I’m saving for a down payment on a house! I will be getting them but it’ll be a bit slower than usual
@@xCanadensis no problem! I get it, my husband thinks I’m nuts with all these dolls. Anyways, you should put a go fund me to help get us the content we love!! I think a lot of ppl would donate to the doll cause! 😊 love your videos!! I’m moving soon too so I get it.
I'm so split on this one. I actually really dig the headpiece. It's so unique! Very cool. The 'birth of Venus' vibes are great, especially the detailing on the back (I'm an out-of-box collector too, so I love when there's stuff like that). And I always love a good ombre. But two things are stopping me from buying. One, I really dislike the doll itself. The pearly sheen on her skin makes her look sweaty (I know it's supposed to be her rising from the water, but, I can't see it as anything other than sweat bleh) and I wish they used a different face mold. Two, while I like the outfit, I don't think it justifies it's price point. From the waist down it's really underwhelming. A single layer of tulle? Really? Compared to the amount of fabric and embroidery that went into the other dolls, this definitely feels like a bit of a rip off. Very excited for the upcoming Mulan though! She looks amazing!
Nice review. I think she is honestly the best looking one we gotten so far but I although don't think the Greek aesthetic fits her. Still a pretty doll though.
I think maybe it’s a reference to her dad being Triton? It’s an interesting choice for sure! I’ve never seen a doll with those pieces so I’m excited to see them hehe
Hi! I'm European and usually it's because of two things, first shipping issues, the European Union has stricter rules now when it comes to customs, and the second is the fact that the European site doesn't include all European countries, funny enough, Portugal and Spain have a different site per example. A pre-order is to ensure that everyone gets a fair chance to get them across all sites!
the more I see this doll the more I want her and love her and even the two points I didn’t like which was the dress material and the older face mold, but I said I can’t justify her because I don’t have a lot of room on which dolls I’m allowed to buy even though I have more than enough saved to get alot of them. for the biggest point, her dress is too sheer or not flowy enough having one or the other would have really put her over the top and every expensive doll I get I need to justify to my mom(even though my mom just bought a $1400 COAT) because she sees the price and thinks it’s too much, but tangent aside I feel like she should have gotten a soft organza or gauze like cotton netting, and I also am a little sad they used her old face mold as her new one is much prettier and more expressive in my opinion, but *THOSE ACCESSORIES* and *THAT HAIR AND PAINT AND PEARL FINISH* its so immaculate, the way they closed off the beading is something I have on my jewelry which is so cool and high quality I’m so sad I can’t justify her right now because I really really want to, I’m waiting to see if the ultimate line goes down in pricing but until then I’m going to get mulan so fast because I am so happy they finally updated her mold and she’s stunning and I can’t be happier with her heres hoping to get her lol
update I am about to cave on getting her oml I have no impulse control and I realised washing her hair out will leave her with waves down to her feet and I need that in my life-
Organza would have been very interesting! I love the way she looks a bit more like her mom but I definitely see the face as being a piece people would be put off by (although I haven’t actually seen many people bring that up?) Mulan is GLORIOUS OH MY GOD!! She’s amazing!
@@xCanadensis ooo I never noticed that she looks like her mom, especially with the soft points on her headpiece!! her expression is softer like hers too which is nice, maybe I could think of her like when she gets older and ascends with her immortal soul like in the original little mermaid and she becomes a goddess with human legs
Okay , so I don't like the design , I find some flaws in design that I can not pass nostly the color /gradient , but that Is personal , the real issue with me was the price - Quality , I feel that Disney collector Dolls have been for SO many eras that now they are not as magnificent as they were. The gold stuff is the face , the hair and most of all , the accesories , they are insainly cool ! In conclution : many nasty and ofensive coments about baby hairs (and they dragged the Holiday 2021 AA Barbie too) , people don't know how doll hair works . Okay design but colors and gradient just don't work and some Quality issues that I don't think should be in a doll at that price (like the Disney Store hair). And very cool accesories but they are mostly plástic , nothing wrong with that but límited edition doll at a very high price ... Not Even the good Silkstone Barbies had so in the face plastic accesories , and as much as I hate Integrity Toys , all doll companies should look up at them in Quality.
Hi, if you don't mind me asking, what do you dislike about Integraty Toys? To me is about making Poppy Parker their brand face when the brand was about representing minorities in playtime when it began...
When I get out of the water, I have them too. They’re not combed and beautiful like black hair stylists tend to do but I imagine that’s what they’re going for? Unsure. Definitely not my place to speak
Edges have been used since the 30s for years because it was a gorgeous hairstyle in women. Everyone has baby hairs so they take the opportunity to style them and make them look elegant.

Or post some fanart that is logistically impossible to make in doll form
@@xCanadensis Do people not understand clothes behave differently on a human body than in a doll? It's so easy to have a simple design look cluttered and bulky when you have less space to execute it on

@@xCanadensis your lucky to find those dolls not everyone is able to get those dolls

@@bipedalspider2248 cool
I think the reason the pearls are reminiscent of reins on a horse is because the headpiece is actually designed to look like seahorses :) remember Triton's carriage? She added so many fun details like that, I think she did great! 💙🧜🏻♀️
I really like the back of her dress. It’s like the waves behind her when she was singing. 🌊💖
You can't imagine how happy i am when you say that you PLAY with them.
My parents made fun of me for so long, and by showing them your videos i have convinced them that i'm not a six year old just because i like dolls.
Thank you girl ily
Stunning. Beautiful. She looks like an ocean goddess! The colours ate gorgeous and that hair looks amazing under the filming lights, so shiny ✨
Whaaat? I don’t understand the negative comments to this doll. I personally love the dress and the coral and teal combo on her. Its so unique and looks elegant.
She is soooo gorgeous! I've watched a couple reviews and I think she's stunning and creative and unique.
I’ve NEVER seen a doll like her and that’s such a positive thing!!
I like that you unbox collector dolls.
Me too! I love to free them!
She’s stunning. She’s so elegant and ethereal. So glad I got her, let’s troll the haters by buying the doll!
Thank you for great videos. Ariel looks elegant. Better out of the box so thanks for the show.
I absolutely LOVE this doll. The dress alone is soooo pretty! Def better than the other one. The dress on her just feels very 2011 disney channel imo
As long as it’s not a high-low dress I can rest 😳
I really like her design, the fabrics used on her dress reminds me of the silent films era elegant dresses, and also the Birth of Venus painting
I personally LOVE this ariel doll so much! She’s giving STRONG birth of venus / aphrodite vibes and i LOVE it!
People keep saying they don’t understand how the headpiece relates to her when she’s literally Poseidon’s granddaughter canonically 😭 I don’t get it
@@xCanadensis clearly people need to read more lol, she’s so pretty
I think she is gorgeous and very creative. I personally don’t care for the purple one. She’s a pretty doll but other than her hair and face I don’t see Ariel too much in her design. This new one reminds me of the mermaid concert in the beginning of the movie. The dip dyed tulle reminds me of a prima ballerina tutu. I love her.
I’ve wanted to comment this for a couple of videos now, but I finally have enough energy and will power to comment it haha
Thank you sm for making your videos.
I love this interpretation of Ariel. The color palette reminds me of Birth of Venus for whatever reason.
I think that was a DEFINITE inspiration for the color scheme, hair style/position and back piece
I like the new designer doll Ariel. She’s my first LE Ariel doll ever!
I LOVE how this doll looks! peach is definitely her colour and my favourite to!
It really helps make her hair POP! So pretty
She's really pretty. The dress is beautiful.
Lots of people can't just handle change and automatically react negatively.
It’s soo cool to see Ariel being revamped!
I love the dress she is finally getting that extra princess royal goddess look she deserves!
I kind of can’t stand her pink or green dresses so I’m very here for this interpretation
She's beautiful! 😍 I wouldn't be able to choose between the two, their both stunning! ❤️
I’m having a lot of trouble deciding! The Premiere one has been with me for much longer so I’m inclined to choose her but this new one is ethereal
I'm attached to her and I love this version. She's lovely. The colors are so pleasing together.
Oh my god I love your observation about the lighting… I see it too…
And yesss!
I'm very intrigued how the rest of this line will be.
her dress is so pretty i want it life size 😭
GOD same!
I love this doll, I still don't get why people hate her so much. She's so different, and that's fantastic imo. Also, white people do have baby hair at times - seen a lotta people say we don't - my baby sibling had an entire second row of bangs made of baby hair under their normal bangs when they were a kid.
The charecter meant so much to the designer, and yet clearly put there heart into this beautiful desighn. It's so unfair to to say mean things.
I favor the pink one minus the earrings (maybe they become another accessory). I love her gown- Stunning fitting.
I was really impressed by the fit! I couldn’t believe there wasn’t any boning!
My only negative comment is on the price... It has been rising way too often in Europe... She is gorgeous!!!
You can see the amount of love and effort put into this dolls, and even if you don't happen to like them it's not okay to harass or say horrible things to the people who spent hours working on these just because you don't think that character would wear something like that.
i know this one was polarizing but like…who doesn’t want Ariel to live her best kylie minogue aphrodite fantasea??? its so playful and pretty
Photos make her face really shiny.. But it's not bad up close. I like her better now. 😁 not being negative. I do love the outfit. She's a great doll
To me they’re very cohesive and high fashion but that’s just a difference of opinion
If you don't like it, don't buy it- perfectly said!
She is the granddaughter of Poseidon so I really don’t understand the confusion around the Greek references. I do think they aged her up a bit here
@@xCanadensis that's true, I didn't think about that. But I really don't mean to sound ultra negative or anything, she does have some nice points.
I don’t get why people are so mad about this doll either. She’s the only one from the series I’ve bought so far. She’s gorgeous.
My response was always “you saved $140 and you can put that towards a doll you like!” But that usually made them angrier?
At this point most of the community just needs to start making customs because the actual releases will never fit their standards- which is totally valid and fine but it’s annoying to hear about for a month straight
She's sooo pretty ♥️♥️♥️
She's beautiful ❤❤👍
I think she's beautiful. I want her
I thought she was really pretty. I don't know why so many people didn't like her
I don’t fully get it :/ I can see individual elements but the hate campaign has been actually shocking
She is stunning! I washed mine’s hair and I love her even more! I’m curious if you’re gonna get Pocahontas as well.
Yes! I figured Ariel would sell out first so I prioritized! Next paycheck (if possible- we had a car emergency eat savings…) I should be able to get her!
@@xCanadensis she has always been one of my favorites! I’m so happy I got the 2011 one in a lot with others.
She's not for me HOWEVER I appreciate that they're making interesting designs instead of just the same looks over and over again
@@xCanadensis I really can't wait to see what the rest of the dolls in this collection look like!

I’m moving soon too so I get it.
i adore this doll
I absolutely adore her
She really came together
She beautiful. Ahhhhhhhhh
She’s so cool. She has such a mature beauty to her
Love dress, shoes and hair. Find her face a little bit odd. I'm still trying to figuring out why
I think she looks much older
Do you have any plans to get Pocahontas?
Absolutely! She’s just not selling out anytime soon so I feel safe waiting a bit :)
@@xCanadensis great can’t wait to see the review! Same lol I’m hoping to get her if she gets discounted. Only have Ariel so far
Hello, i have a question, why is she on pre order in europe? thanks! ps: I love your reviews everyday xcanadensis :)
Honestly no clue. Unfortunately I don’t have any access to that kind of information
I love the way she looks a bit more like her mom but I definitely see the face as being a piece people would be put off by (although I haven’t actually seen many people bring that up?)
Mulan is GLORIOUS OH MY GOD!!
Who's your favorite Disney princess
Tiana!!
I just don't like the skin because she looks sweaty
I get it- I like it within context of her walking out the water!
Friend?
I don't like Ariel with that dress, she totally loses her essence 👎👎👎
the only problem i have is the black hair style...why did they give a white doll black hair style.
