Really cool that this train stops for the overnight. Not only does it ensure better sleep but you don't miss any of the incredible landscapes! Also great that you had these sightseeing breaks to see the seals, taste whisky, and that kind of thing. This is my kind of train excursion May I also point out that Millie is an absolute delight - so glad to see her in this episode

Thank you! I had an 18 month visit to Scotland that covered 1984-85. Absolutely did not see enough! Skied in the Cairngorms, visited Edinburgh, stayed over at Loch Ness and so on. The people were incredible and the views breath taking! The ones you video I like the best are where it takes more than 2 days! Again thanks for showing me travel way out of my budget!

Thanks for the time taken to film, edit, and find such amazing background music.
My husband would starve for sure. He is the worlds pickiest eater; he would refuse pretty much everything except for the steak or the lamb. He’d probably sneak off to find a McDonald’s whenever he had a chance. I however, am a total foodie and I will try anything once. I’ve never had haggis but I would definitely be willing to give it a go if I were there.
@@Positivekitten Haggis is amazing..don’t think of the ingredients just base your opinion on the taste. Its similar to sausage..if you like sausage you’ll like haggis. 😊
I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t leave you to starve, I’d imagine they would somehow managed to rustle you up a hamburger or pizza whilst everyone else enjoyed their 5* food! Lol.
I spent two weeks touring the highlands and a more awe inspiring place I have yet to find. It is majestic. A land of the free. You feel as if you are the only one in the world. The isolated places, small villages and company of the famous cattle is a pleasure. I loved it.

This trip, at $3K per day is just designed for mostly American rich tourists. Excellent all around, no doubt, but nothing remotely like the old upper class experience of the original 19th century travelers, who would be seriously embarrassed by pipers etc. at platforms. I've lived in Dundee for a couple of months 3 years ago for my semester abroad and Ceilidh Dancing was one of my favourite things to do. My flat mate and I went to so many dances. I'm still relatively new to your channel but I have to say this is by far my favorite adventure for several reasons. This made me feel close to him as I got to enjoy through you and lovely Millie what he longed to see. Thank you. Next time will you also show us what Millie chose to eat as well if it's different from yours? Also your beautiful Millie looks gorgeous with her new hairstyle and I loved her attire , very classy. i highly recommend you visit Edinburgh its such a lovely city and its my place of birth there is so much to see and do while in the city you will every minute of being there and want to come back again and again to see it xx
What a beautiful travelogue you put together, Will, greatly enhanced by the beautiful Millie. Millie just seemed so genuinely happy in these shots that she comes off as radiant (I hope you appreciate her!) I'm old enough to be Millie's grandma and would be thrilled to have a granddaughter like her. I love train travel and once took a seedy Amtrak overnight (19-hours) from NYC to Florida -- even though the train had seen better days, with my private roomette, I loved it! Would love it even more if I could meet train fans my age (mid-70's) who were up for train travel. Keep up the good work and enjoy these great trips!
Just thought I’d point out that you did not cross the Firth River, you actually crossed the River Forth. The word firth refers to the widening mouth of a river, as in the Firth of Tay and the Firth of Clyde.
By far, the most fun video yet! Millie’s new hair is gorgeous on her! I absolutely love it when you both travel together. BTW, so jealous of your visit to Edinburgh. Made me tear up immediately when I remembered the late Prince Philip. Thanks for this trip, so appreciated!
Millie was the star passenger with Will coming in a close 2nd. This trip appears to be very popular and if I had £15k to spare would try it with my wife for sure. The Scottish Highlands are just amazing...👍
You never cease to amaze me with your reviews each one gets better. Glad to see Millie as you both make a great pair. Please keep the reviews coming. Aloha and thank you.
Of all the train and luxury plane trips you've video'd , that I have watched ( they're all good), this was the most compelling, don't have $15K to plop down, but so much fun to watch!!!
Hi Will and Millie! Happy belated birthday, Will! This looks like a wonderful trip. I will add this to my Scottish to do list. Thank you for bringing us along.
Such an amazing video, I’m a driver and fireman on a steam railway in the Yorkshire dales and it’s amazing to see how rail travel has evolved and the class is still there and you explain and portray it brilliantly so thank you…… and I’m so jealous!
Except in the US. Some of the rooms still have the toilet right next to your seat. No privacy whatsoever. Idk if people actually use them but yeah the US doesn't invest in any of the public transportation.
What a gorgeous countryside!!! I have added this trip to my bucket list and hell, I'd even try the haggis! The train looked so comfortable and elegant and the trips out each day looked like so much fun. The castle was stunning, but I couldn't imagine wanting to live in one. The music and dancing and whiskey...😍😍😍
Just marvelous. As an aside, I must say, Millie is looking more beautiful than ever -- and I do believe she is happier! Something else might be up in the heart of that girl, and I think it's love! Thanks for sharing with us such wonderful journeys.
It's on *a* Scottish £50 note but not *the* Scottish £50 note. The Royal Bank of Scotland, the Bank of Scotland and Clydesdale Bank are all allowed to print Bank notes, and they all have their own designs. Inverness Castle features on an old withdrawn design of RBS banknote, the current ones have an osprey instead, while the Bank of Scotland current design features the Falkirk Wheel. Clydesdale doesn't currently print a £50 note at all.
Gosh darn, you are really good. Well shot, well-edited, well presented. Your site is an adult toy store of a sort. I think I learned more about Scotland right here than I ever heard in my entire life. And I should, since I have significant Scottish ancestry.
I have been watching your videos for awhile, I see others that try to do what you do, there is no comparison. I see that you comment on there videos and your very kind. In my opinion you have what makes me come back !!! Thanks for all you do!!!

My dude. You're videos help me relax after a long day. If you ate ever here in New Zealand we have a great train journey between Christchurch and Picton. The costal express. Would love to journey with you
I have only found your videos about a week ago but I have been eating them up. Their is just something so kind and genuine about your videos and now it makes me want to take a train. I love how you share your trips with your loved ones as well and lets not forget that wonderful joke from Millie at the end lol.
I'm an Aussie, and ever since my very first trip to Scotland/UK I've thoroughly enjoyed eating haggis...the most interesting way I've had it was deep fried in a long strip from a fish n chip shop in Falkirk (have friends there that I visited) I enjoyed it so much that I went looking for a butcher shop in my own city, Melbourne, that made/sold it..the only place was in an outer suburb of Melbourne, Sunbury...yum...
Brilliant, just brilliant - i love the fact it stops at night as well - Edinburgh, Aviemore and Inverness are the most beautiful cities and the haggis is delicious 👍❤️👍❤️
Wow! How beautiful is that landscape. I wonder if anyone can take a similar car trip. It would have been nice to hear a conversation or two. They have their own dialect there.
Happy Birthday Will!! As always so much better with Millie along for the luxury train trips. You should never do them without her, she adds so much to the experience for you as well as these should be as shared experience with your partner. ❤
Omg I subbed to you when you were so small and commented love to you because I knew if you kept it up you would grow so much and look at this, I come to check you out and over half a million subs??? You earned it because you didnt give up, congrats mate keep it up.
Not sure if any costing details have been omitted, but 15K (for 2) with this kind of opulent package is actually a great bargain, considering other travel options more pricey and less distinguished. The appraisal of good value comes with the memorable afterglow of such an adventure. When something is as close to perfect as it can get - it's a rarified, idyllic escape in a very insane world, and that alone makes it worth every penny.
@@mazibukomail For the entire trip. It would work out roughly to 1500. per passenger, per day. That's still cheaper than a one way, long-haul first class flight on a reputable airline.
Millie and Will in this video you both looked beautiful. Your journey through Scotland was original and breathtaking. Thank you for taking the trip. I’m enlightened by it. God bless you. Happy Christmas.
Well, you have just given me another adventure to add to my bucket list! Such a beautiful train with incredible scenery and food! Thanks for one of your best travelogues from Scotland! Love your journeys and your personable dialogue and highlights.
I, too, celebrated a birthday while on the Royal Scotsman, in 2022. I kept that to myself, but coincidentally, we were all served champagne on a beach that morning. I agree that the food was fabulous, along with the scenery. We found the accommodations to be claustrophobic, particularly when getting ready on formal nights, when my Irish husband broke out his full kilt, Prince Charlie, and fly. I was slightly more modest with a shawl of my family's McLeod tartan. We loved each evening's entertainment, as well as the send off and welcome back tunes.
This train virtually passes my house in Inverness, however I have never seen a video on it before - Good to see! (however I have never heard Ord pronounced as Ood before ;-) )
im pretty sure its because he works for nasa so he gets lots of money from his job plus all of the sponsers and the websites that he uses to get the tickets for cheaper
Wonderful as always thanks Will, and another vote here for More Millie! The only thing that jarred was about five or six ad breaks. I know there are costs to recoup but it did stop me getting immersed in the experience which was a shame, especially given how amazing this trip was. Obviously this is intended to be constructive not critical. Cheers!
Not sure that was worth the price. We have expensive train journeys in Australia which seem to more reflect what's on offer. Maybe :) No ads for me Andrew Ditton - not on your videos either, which I love watching. I pay to remove them as youtube is the best streaming platform around imho :)
Only 4 mins in but had to correct a small and easily forgiven mistake. The Forth Bridge spans the river Forth. Firth is an old Scott's word for Estuary. Therefore, the bridge spans the Firth of Forth. You said in the video that it spans the river Firth. Just rectifying the record. Now to get back to the rest of the video
Spotted .... an easy mistake to make. Gritted my teeth at pronounciation of sauce tartar. It is not tahtah. It sounds more 'tataaa'. Elongate second syllable. Differentiating it from the Turkic-speaking people and the calcification between your teeth.
Love watching your review and luxurious travel experience as well as seeing you and Millie enjoy. The mixed wood veneer treatment of walls of the cabin, the lighting and plush seats, and the cuisine looked really great and classy. A plus was the opportunity given to passengers to explore the places where you made the stop. Only noticed that social spaces were sometimes cramped like the dining car where I can see elbows of seatmates brush each other while eating or the observation car at the start of the trip. A luxurious experience i think includes having generous spaces to enjoy.
I love the video. I recognised the island and rocks where you spotted the seals. As when I was younger we went on holiday a few times to the farm across the water and would swim out to the island. Along with the farms swimming lama's
Idk if you realized but you had a celebrity onboard! Christina Hendricks who played Joan in Mad Men can be spotted during the platform dancing. I’d seen her post on her IG that she’s taken this train but wild coincidence that she was on your train.

I love how much you and Millie love each other. It's so sweet seeing the two of you travel together.
She's clearly keen on you ! When you are getting hitched?
She's not gonna shag ya mate
Also the Kessok Bridge is on the Bank of Scotland £100 note too. 😄
Gosh darn, you are really good. Well shot, well-edited, well presented. Your site is an adult toy store of a sort. I think I learned more about Scotland right here than I ever heard in my entire life. And I should, since I have significant Scottish ancestry.
More trips with Millie are needed pls 😭😭
I have been watching your videos for awhile, I see others that try to do what you do, there is no comparison. I see that you comment on there videos and your very kind. In my opinion you have what makes me come back !!! Thanks for all you do!!!
I have to say I enjoy a moving sleeper train. It’s relaxing to me.
Loved the video and can't wait to try the product. Nice to see Millie too. So pleasing to the eye and with a personality to match, she is as much a highlight as the stunning highland scenery.
Happy birthday Will! Also, another vote for more Millie whenever she's available!
@acedudeism oh, go away
The Fourth Bridge is looking magnificent!
Engineering marvel of 19th century, yet unknown to most.
My dude. You're videos help me relax after a long day. If you ate ever here in New Zealand we have a great train journey between Christchurch and Picton. The costal express. Would love to journey with you
same
I have only found your videos about a week ago but I have been eating them up. Their is just something so kind and genuine about your videos and now it makes me want to take a train. I love how you share your trips with your loved ones as well and lets not forget that wonderful joke from Millie at the end lol.
What a wonderful trip. I love Scotland, lived in Edinburgh for a time. You are both lovely. Thank you.
Millie is really sweet glad you two are happy!!!
You can, look up the NC500, and add some detours!
Happy Birthday Will!! As always so much better with Millie along for the luxury train trips. You should never do them without her, she adds so much to the experience for you as well as these should be as shared experience with your partner. ❤
I love the look of the inside of the train. The decor is beautiful. So cool.
Another great trip! Thanks for taking me along!
Millie is a welcome addition. The trip looks amazing albeit a Scottish dance in a castle and a few more castle visits would make it perfect
Millie is the best part of this video! I demand more Millie!
Omg I subbed to you when you were so small and commented love to you because I knew if you kept it up you would grow so much and look at this, I come to check you out and over half a million subs??? You earned it because you didnt give up, congrats mate keep it up.
What a joy to listen to the very talented, expert piper!! How fun. Certainly enjoying your blog!!
Always enjoy your videos, but extra lovely when Millie is along. What a fabulous trip- one for the bucket list!
Phenomenal Piper and great ambassador for Scotland…. He played at my wedding! A true gentleman.
And the spa isn't included in the price 🤦♂️😂
@@markmurray567 Alas, it is on pre-flight via Qatar Airlines First Class. But you'd have to pony up 20K (or more) for a single one-way ticket.
I'm confused, is it 15k for the entire trip or per night?!?
Not sure, from experience that I agree with this
@@mazibukomail For the entire trip. It would work out roughly to 1500. per passenger, per day. That's still cheaper than a one way, long-haul first class flight on a reputable airline.
So glad Millie joined you for this one. Truly remarkable videography and what a trip.!
Millie and Will in this video you both looked beautiful. Your journey through Scotland was original and breathtaking. Thank you for taking the trip. I’m enlightened by it. God bless you. Happy Christmas.
Now that is a luxury train trip mate! I like how the train stops overnight so everyone gets a descent night of rest! Enjoyed watching your trip!
The "Firth river" is in fact the Firth of Forth. We call estuaries firths in Scotland. :)
Happy Belated Birthday! It's obvious how much you two are in love. What a beautiful 5 days with two beautiful people
Well, you have just given me another adventure to add to my bucket list! Such a beautiful train with incredible scenery and food! Thanks for one of your best travelogues from Scotland! Love your journeys and your personable dialogue and highlights.
I didn’t think your videos could get any better, but then you added Millie! Smart man. :) All the best and thank you for sharing a fantastic trip!
I am honored to watch this nice video and to be the first comment and you sound like some type of narrator, and I like it😊
I, too, celebrated a birthday while on the Royal Scotsman, in 2022.
Millie ONLY moves in slow motion. The reviews are amazing!
My closed, untraveled mind had no idea how vastly different the Scottish landscape is compared to Ireland - what. a. video. !!!!
This train virtually passes my house in Inverness, however I have never seen a video on it before - Good to see! (however I have never heard Ord pronounced as Ood before ;-) )
Just be glad he didn't go to Avoch!
Think he got it wrong about singleton being the only single malt whisky on the Black Isle, Tain has Glenmorangie. Then Dalmore at Alness.
Absolutely stunning landscape and such a wondrous journey, thanks for taking us with you!
I need a list of all of Millie’s outfits. They were soo cute
Thank you for Millie sharing your adventure.
Strikingly beautiful.
Who else agrees that he needs to marry Millie!!!!
Mind your damn business Karen
Nah. She left the haggis and black pudding. Red flag.
Maybe Millie doesn’t want to get married!
Shes hot. He needs to bag her.
Why does he need to?
I had so much fun! You really do an amazing job of sharing your journey with us! Thank you!
I've been watching trek for some time and I've always wondered how he affords some of this he spends like 300k a year
I also wondered about the NASA pins and the clothing he wears. It must be nice. I do enjoy his videos and travels.
im pretty sure its because he works for nasa so he gets lots of money from his job plus all of the sponsers and the websites that he uses to get the tickets for cheaper
I think he gets things cheaper because this is advertising. I dont think he works for NASA. I think he makes good money with this channel.
I’ve wondered this too.
Sponsors…
I am so glad I found this channel. I am enjoying all the wonderful trips from here in Sacramento CA....
Millie's new hair style looks sensational!
I'm also in awe of her ability to keep her bangs perfectly pulled back with her ponytail! My flyaway ass could never.
Very lucky man, Millie is absolutely stunning
Millie is so lovely! Nice to see her.🥰 This trip is now on my bucket list!💖💖
Millie looks particularly beautiful!
I went to Scotland decades ago and have always wanted to go back. Never got north of Edinburgh, so I'd love to visit the Highlands.
I love all of these train journeys. I've been binge watching all of them.
I caught her too 😅 can see her twice
