I just found your content! I’m 19 with chronic symptoms and no diagnosis yet, but I was really struggling with hopelessness today about making money and the future. Seeing you empowered is inspiring me. Just listening to you talk in a way that is hopeful and encouraging has taken me out of my spiral so thank you!

Great ideas! Another one I dabble in is reselling. When I’m feeling up to it I thrift things I know I can resell and make a profit. I also manage a blog/website and the main income is Google ads. 👍🏻 We have hired writers for the blog and people to handle the technical side.

I know this isn't work but in Australia as someone under 25 years you can get paid to study. I've found that studying creative writing and journalism has been a great way for me to earn a little money. My uni is also very supportive of illness and I have an access plan so that I can get extra support when I'm sick.
(I know in America this is very likely not possible. I know I'm very lucky to be in a situation where I can afford to study online❤)

Please share about getting paid to study. Why is this a thing, and how does it work?🌻

Here in Sweden, university is completely free, and you can get student loans from the state for 7 years, but it’s not a lot of money and these loans are, indeed, loans so you’ll have to repay them eventually.

@@millacernemusic But it’s not free if you have to pay it back, or am I misunderstanding things?

@@texasgoddess323 The university itself is free. The loans aren’t. As I understand it, in a lot of other countries you pay for the actual studies as well.

I had a business as an editorial manager/writer for many years, and i do believe it was a big contributor to my POTS/EDS/SIBO getting so bad. Unfortunately these industries thrive on deadlines ... as a chronically ill people person, deadlines can be really difficult. So just beware !

The two lines of work I was considering before I started my part time front desk job were online transcription and being a notary signing agent! Neither took off for me, personally, but they both seemed like totally viable options to pursue while chronically ill!

In Austria, studying is also free and the government pays students a small stipend to help with living costs. You do have to show progress on your studies or you lose the stipend.

This might be a silly question but I know this community is mostly women but can men join the online community? I have hyperpots and mcas since covid 2 years ago and it feels super lonely as men are a minority in pots. I have a work from home job but they are trying to force ppl back in the office and I'm gonna a end up losing this job bc the new ceo hates remote work.

Yes! We have men in the community! :) There are a couple men who come to the live calls regularly. I recently coached a man in the group about working and possibly changing jobs actually! you can re-watch this call in the community or join us live each week. If you want to try it out for a free 2 weeks to see if you like it, head to this link: aimeeesther.podia.com/community/114514/monthly/buy
