I found you in 2020. You made that time a little easier for a lot of us. What a priviledge to see how you all have grown over the last 4 years. Keep up the awesome work.
This cover is so powerful! All of you did it perfectly! And the way the performance changed after 2.20 is truly amazing! Honestly, I am currently running this on repeat instead of the original...
Never would have thought this song would sound right with a woman vocalist. However, she's not only spot-on and even better. She is also really beautiful too❤
Having listened to enough of these, Audra’s super power is that she can change the way she sings each song/part to make it fit with the original while still being uniquely her. Listen to the Emptyness Machine cover and how she sings Mike’s part different from Emily’s part and it just works.
I listened to this song and the Original at the same time, and your voice and Isaac Slade(Lead Singer of The Fray)'s sounded AMAZING TOGETHER! It's like your voices compliment eachothers' perfectly!
@@KookyCow32yeah she went up an octave and just used a lot more energy into her delivery/performance of the vocal, she’s really talented! They also layered the vocals more so it sounds fuller
I love this song and heard it when it came out. Even live. This is the first time I listened to it. The band is awsome. The vocals are perfect. You finish your words to be heard. Great job love the band.
I feel like it also really captures the slow build up of helpless anger you feel in situations like this. Where you want so desperately to be able to do something and help them but you just don't know what to do. Specifically the way she spits out that last "and you begin to wonder why you came" and going through to the end. Legit chills over here.
Great cover. I have such a love-hate relationship with this song. It means so much, but I kick myself every time I hear it. When it mattered most, I was too screwed up and engrossed in my own struggles to hear your final cry for help. I miss you, C.
"Where are you going? Your shift's not over, HEY..! Remember what you told me? The second you start blaming yourself for other people's deaths... There's no going back..." That song with that scene made me treasure it so much.
Thanks for surfacing this powerful moving song in my memory. I've been listening to your version nonstop, as well as The Fray's original. An excellent cover!
My best friend from childhood has been missing for 2 years. He started using heavy drugs and, well, I think he’s gone now. I never knew how to help him, his family was never there and they actually didn’t really even want him. His dad kind of wanted a new family with his stepmom and the two kids they had together. My friends mom was schizophrenic and a drug addict, and she was not really in contact with him so she wasn’t really in the picture at all, but I know he really cared about her because he kept all the letters she sent him. He actually started developing symptoms like his mom when we were about 16, and it kind of just kept developing actually. I’m sure that all of the drugs he was using was to break away from the hell that was his mind. I remember him breaking down in my car, and he said that his dad cared more about the new dog than he ever did him. He was a beautiful soul, way smarter, funnier, and just straight cooler than anyone I’ve ever known. He was my first friend in middle school and we both were kind of weird but he would sleepover at my house all the time and eat all my food. My family didn’t really mind, though, cuz they kind of understood that he just didn’t ever want to go home. I miss you Pat, I’ve never really had someone like you in my life since, and I’m sorry that you were dealt those cards. I love you bro, rest in peace.
Step one, you say we need to talk He walks, you say sit down, it's just a talk He smiles politely back at you You stare politely right on through Some sort of window to your right As he goes left, and you stay right Between the lines of fear and blame You begin to wonder why you came Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend Somewhere along in the bitterness And I would have stayed up with you all night Had I known how to save a life Let him know that you know best 'Cause after all, you do know best Try to slip past his defense Without granting innocence Lay down a list of what is wrong The things you've told him all along And pray to God he hears you And I pray to God he hears you And where did I go wrong? I lost a friend Somewhere along in the bitterness And I would have stayed up with you all night Had I known how to save a life As he begins to raise his voice You lower yours and grant him one last choice Drive until you lose the road Or break with the ones you've followed He will do one of two things He will admit to everything Or he'll say he's just not the same And you'll begin to wonder why you came Where did I go wrong? Best version of this song by far. Would be so sick to hear some growls alongside the chorus vocals. That’s what’s happening in my head anyway. Great job guys. As always
This is a moving song choice as people are still suffering the aftermath of hurricane Helene. My heart goes out to all of you and your loved ones who are effected.
I have been watching this band since 2019 and every time I think "how can they do better than this?" They release a cover like this one that just absolutely blows my mind. I am always impressed by how they keep improving.
I've been listening to your old livestream cover of this song in a loop for the last few days, and then you release an official cover right on time!!! Love you guys.
Truly look forward to the Thursday release from this band each week .They never fail to amaze and impress. Love this cover , excellent choice 👍
Yeah they are on my weekly schedule as well for sure.
Audra's voice is always magical. This cover, "More than a feeling" and "Sweet child of mine" are my favs
Agree...I play those a lot.
Audra flexing the vocals. Really loved the range!
Dang, Audra really went all out on this one. Fantastic voice!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the range Audra displayed here!!!
I am following them since 2020, to me also in this song they showed not even a small iterative progress but a new level.
Love this cover.Audra's voice slays this !!
Literally every time I search for a cover of a song, this band has done it like within a month lol
One of the best hit songs of the 2000s.

I found them shortly after they formed - still Sophomores in high school, I think. Weird watching them grow up in music videos.
Love it. One of my all-time favourites. And The Fray is coming back, right now... you must listen to 02:22. Really nice.
One of my favorite songs in high school. You guys did such a unique and flawless interpretation.
The absolute power and raw emotion is truly amazing! Gave this song a whole 'oomph' to it, an incredible tonal flip!

She sounds flat and the original song is a masterpiece.

This band keeps impressing me. They can play every genre and make it their own. Another amazing cover. Great song btw.
I don't know the technical term for what you did with your voice from 2:20 onwards, but I LOVED IT!!
What, going up an octave?
Or are you talking about the harmonies?
@@OniGanonI’m gonna guess the octave one. How her voice gets like louder and kinda screamier, but in a really nice way.
