Shalini just a suggestion. Try local stores near your place for things. They may hv good quality n for lesser amount many times rather than the big chain stores. Hope this works as even we did the same thing n it works in local areas.

You are correct. But when you are new to a city you generally go to supermarkets which is comfort area. After getting used to the city and exploring the city she will eventually know from which local stores to buy.

even i moved to bangalore at this age, and the vlog was wholesome. if you want to buy crockeries within budget, always go to department stores. it helps. Homecentre is good but little bit pricey.
Online shopping or local stores will get better quality and less prices ..

Shalini I think you asked for advise to your upper middle class TH-camrs friends living in Mumbai in their parents homes and who started YT just for fun and had not “really” seen struggle. You should’ve taken polls or suggestions on insta or YT and you would’ve saved *50%* of your costs. I’m saying this at your comment @15:38 ki Mumbai is expensive. Yes, I’m real estate but if you know the jugaad then it’s definitely not. I wish I was able to help you thrift all of that. There are TONS of places to get good 2nd hand or even slightly damaged 1st hand products. AC ka fitting? Comes as a package when buying, why did you have to pay for that? I’m a believer ki electronic & kapdo (personal hygiene) ke alawa baaki cheeze one can easily take used ones. Like I see you don’t have furniture yet, if you’d like my advice - look for seconds ka furniture shops all around Mumbai and you will not believe what you get if you know how to choose and bargain. Coz I feel in this vlog you really wasted a lot of money on basic things. It’s like pick your battle, like get good pillow at higher price but those basic coffee mugs you could’ve got 100 ke 4 in local market. Baaki all the best bro..! Aur kya bolu.

We shifted a lot the past few years and I seem to have experienced it all but it was with family but still I could relate to your experience anf sulking to dad how costly it is and vice versa. Buying new electronics is one karcha but getting it fixed in our houses is whole another thing. Moving out sounds so fun but its so expensive 😢 thanks for showing the reality as well!

Loved the vlog! Why are you not keeping a maid though? You’re two women so it won’t be as expensive and very convenient. The only good perk of living by yourself in India vs Abroad is the food availability and maids 😅
