Hi, I just love this dish. It is so versatile and tremendously nourishing. I enjoyed the slow cooker method a time saver. Thank you for sharing a lovely cooking show. Keep alert, go well. Kind regards.
Hi kitchen sanctuary congratulations on your success love watching your TH-cam channel absolutely outstanding on TH-cam absolutely brilliant congratulations to you love from Paul Roberts
Hi, I thoroughly enjoyed watching all your videos, and I have tried some of them, with great success, so thanku! 😊 I just wanted to ask if you have an electric or gas oven and which one you prefer? Mine is gas and bakes tend to burn at the back before the front ones cook through.
A question I tend to find with both this and goulash where uvadd in dairy produce at the end, its fine got the first meal. But I like to catch cook and either eat again the following day, or freeze and reheat. The problem is when I rehab the sauce splits and the yoghurt or whatever dairy product I've used splits and curdled, rendering it inedible. Is there any way around this?? I've tried using 0% fat yoghurt, regular natural yoghurt and creme francie, but all have been a disaster on reheating, resulting in food waste. Can you advise?
@@Kitchensanctuary Looks really tasty.... Pasta is my wifes' favourite. But I usually serve with rice or french fries. A big batch is in order I think. Don't know whether to pressure cook in my new 8L Instant Pot or try out it's slow cook function.
That looks amazing as always ....could I be cheeky and ask what brand of slow cooker you have ....it looks a good sized one and i have a big family xxxx
I just adore your recipes, each one I try the family love, I have one tiny concern, the background music seems louder and I find myself getting distracted from lovely Nicky, Chris please sort it. 💖💖
Do you cook anything in the new electric pressure cookers like instant pot / ninja etc? They would make for good videos as theres not many if any uk based foodies / chefs that have these types of videos using them? Probably a big market for it.
It makes about 8 servings, You can halve this recipe to serve fewer people, so long as you have a small slow cooker to accommodate this. Stick to the same ingredient ratios (but do ensure you use enough stock to just cover the beef) and cooking time. I wouldn't use Greek yoghurt myself as it'd be likey to split.
Hi. I’d love to make this but am allergic to dairy. Is it okay to use a plant based cream alternative instead please? And is the another option for the sour cream at all? Thanks so much.
You could try plant based cream cheese and as for non dairy alternatives I would try cashew or oat milk as they taste closest to dairy. I don’t think it will be as rich as cream but you can adjust the thickness with the slurry. I use non dairy all the time. It might not look and taste exactly the same but it always tastes “good” to me.
Hello from America. Long Island, New York to be exact. I love your UTube show. I would like you to create a hardcover cookbook with photograghs. I am 70 yrs old and it would help me. Thanks so much.
Why am I getting this on my recommendations at 1am, I'm starving and I've got sod all in my fridge?!!....TH-cam is a cruel mistress! Anyway, looks delicious and it's bookmarked for me for after I do my next big shop!
How to know I'm 30 years old: I'm buying myself an instant pot for my birthday. Livin la vida loca!
I'm 23, don't worry I've done the same. 🤣
What's an instant pot
Cooking is the best! Partying is overrated :)
This is a great recipe for new cooks to learn. Pretty easy prep, and simple execution. And everyone will enjoy it.

This is the closest recipe and technique to my family's Eastern European taste....minus the mustard. Thanks ❣

Would I still be able to add tomato purée and paprika to slow cooker?
that looks amazing! 😃😃
What can you use instead of cream when cooking lactofree cream etc is this more suitable?
Family and friends enjoyed this recipe
I´`m on my way to the kitchen ... 👍👍👍😊
👍😊
What would u use as a substitute for mushrooms? Thanks
Looks delicious. Is this good to freeze?
Looks great I’d like mashed potato with it I reckon !

Looks amazing Nicky love it xxx👍👍
Thanks so much 😊
On pasta? That’s a new one on me 😉 Going to try this. Looks delicious.
Oh yeah, I love it with pasta. What do you normally serve Stroganoff with?
@@Kitchensanctuary rice? Or even jacket spud? Or chips!
@@Kitchensanctuary I serve it with rice

Over some nice buttered mashed potatoes. Yummy.

I think it said crock pot on the side of it. Cheers 🍻

What do you suggest as a substitute for mushrooms??
G'damn! That looks delicious and simple to make. I also love that it is a crockpot recipe. Thank you.
Great videos enjoy them
Be safe Phil from Belfast
Thanks, you too!
Most enjoyable thank you
What size is that slow cooker? Looks huge I need one
Lovely Job
Thank you!
Looks lush 😋 😍
Looking gorgeous Nicky 😍
Thank you 😊

Hi x lovely recipe what make n size is your slow cooker please x
I often think mushrooms shrink so much that even if you add twice what you think you need you still only have half what you really need!
Hi , can I just add cream instead of sour cream and cream
Looks delicious. How many does this serve and can I use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream?

@@Kitchensanctuary Thank you so much for replying that's really helpful. I only have a small slow cooker but will definitely be making this soon.
I haven't watched this yet but I'm expecting a creamy sauce to make an appearance
How can you tell....... ;)
How long would this last in a fridge
Any particular reason you don't sauté the mushrooms before adding the broth?
Looks amazing! Nomnom! :D
Would you call beef chuck braising beef? Or, would you use beef top round, a more lean cut? Very nice recipe.
Beef chuck would be awesome in a braised dish. I do beer braised with beef chuck roast all of the time. Cheers 🍻

Please forgive my asking, but what is "all-purpose flour"? 😊
think ill try this with squash instead of mushroom!
How many would this serve ??
I would imagine maybe 4 as a main meal or six as a starter
Is the BROWNING Step Necessary??
Yes if you want the meat juices sealed in
Taste best with barley.
Beef stroganoff in a family that hates mushrooms? Brave.
got any recipe without using flour!!
Its easy to follow but its not much flavour so it’s a 5 out 10 for me
It's "woostersheer sauce. What's so difficult of that?
It's quite the shame that your videos are so quiet, I have to use a speaker just to hear you with my old ears.

Na… i tried this. I found the recipe very basic & flavourless.
It actually tasted very mediocre at best!
