THE FLY BOX: 5 - Cosseboum

This week’s fly brings me back to my childhood memories on the Matane River. I can’t remember how many times I’ve heard my uncle Arthur tell us that he captured the King with the Cosseboom. Created in 1923 by an American angler named John C. Cosseboum, it was reportedly used for the first time on the Margaree River in Nova Scotia. Since then, they fly has proven itself over time on Quebec’s salmon rivers.
