Krishna was the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu - The Preserver among the Hindu Trinity. While there is unanimous acceptance on various events of his life like his birth, there is often debate on how Krishna ended his avatar. While some believe that Krishna died in isolation, some debate that if Krishna was the Supreme God himself, how could he die? Who could have possibly had the power to kill him?
Gandhari's grief turned into vengeance and she cursed Krishna that if her devotion towards Lord Vishnu was pure and if she was true to her husband all her life then 36 years from that day Krishna would die. His kingdom Dwarka would be flooded and the entire Yadava clan of Shri Krishna will be destroyed, the same way he made the Kauravas reach death.
Dwarka was consumed by the Arabian sea. The Yadava race went extinct. Lord Krishna and Balarama had left the mortal world. Kali yuga had arrived. The Pandavas felt that there was no purpose left for their existence.

Actually kaliyug arrived after the death of Lord Krishna, but didn't dare to enter in the kingdom of Pandavas or Parikshit.

The sun always remains in the same highest position, however from our limited position it appears to be rising or setting. Krishna explains in the Bhagavad Gita that he never changes his body, since he always appears and goes in his transcendental, eternal body, which is not different from his soul. Basically Bhagvaan krishna had a son named Sambha. Obviously Krishna being paramaathma is all knowing and knew he needed a catalyst to facilitate the destruction of dwaaraka and the arrogant yadava kula.
So Bhagvaan Krishna meditated on Bhagvaan Shiva and requested him to bestow him a son who had similar charaecteristics to Lord Shiva (A Destroyer). Lord Shiva knowing Lord Vishnu’s plan bestowed this boon and Samba was born as Sri Krishna’s son. Sambha was arrogant as everything was available in abundance in dwaraka under Sri Krishna’s reign.
Once when the incarnation of Shiva, Maharishi Durvaasa visited dwaarka, Sambha and his friends decided to taunt him and prank him. Sambha dressed up as a pregnant woman and asks Maharshi durvaasa to guess the baby’s gender.
Durvaasa being an anshavtaar of Lord Shiva and a great scholar, saw through this taunt and was angered by sambha’s actions. He cursed sambha that he would give birth to an iron rod that would be the cause of ultimate destruction of the yadhava clan as well as dwaaraka.

War of MahaBharath was a war of grandfathers, their sons and grandsons. What were the ages of Krishna, Balarama, etc.? I heard Krishna was 125 when he died. Shree.Krishna lived long after the war. That was another age not completely understood and imagined the type of culture that prevailed, their languages and their traditional attires. ASI diggings in Rakhigarhi, Sinhouli etc, will definitely shed a lot of light on the entire subject because, we've lost records that were stored at Nalanda library 500 years ago.

I have a doubt, mahabharata would have happened around the time of bronze age where weapons were of bronze but here samba gave birth to a lump of iron, showing that iron was used to make weapons

at 7:42 you mention that the Laws of Karma remain the same for even the creator of Karma, which actually contradicts the notion that Lord Krishna was being punished for killing Bali and not because of the Mahabharata and Gandhari's curse. Also, it was said by Lord Krishna Himself that Karma should be carried out without any desire since there is no guarantee that all karma will bore an outcome.
Hence, Lord Krishna did not succumb to His karma, because God is not part of any Maya/illusion, thus His karma is unaccounted for. Otherwise His actions to kill Kumbhakarana, Ravana, and many other demons in Treta Yuga would result in these demons coming back for revenge :D
But he didn't do any unrighteousness when he killed the demons lol.

There is a story that once sage durvasa was pleased by Sri Krishna's service when he reached Dwaraka for a Feast. He gave a kheer and said this kheer is a protective kavach and would protect from all kinds of weapons and asked krishna to apply it on all his body. Krishna also did the same but he did not apply it on his feet for some reason. Later the arrow of hunter Jata pierced his feet thus bringing his worldly life to end and Starting the age of Kali yuga..

actually there was one Yadav who survived n he was the only one, his name was Vajranabh n he was the son of Aniruddh, grandson of Pradyumn and great-grandson of Krishn himself, after the destruction of Yadav clan n submergence of Dwarka, Pandavs brought Vajranabh to Hastinapur and crowned him the king of Mathura, while Parikshit (grandson of Arjun; son of Abhimanyu) was crowned as the King of Hastinapur, after this Pandavas left Hastinapur n started walking towards the heavens.
The Yadavs alive today are direct descendants of Vajranabh, making them descendants of Krishn.

Gandhari was Ishwar/Shiv bhaktini. Not Vishnu bhakt. Her curse was accepted by Krishna as she was a true devotee of Shiva and Krishna needed a genuine exit after his avtara's work was done.

You have to understand these are all Leelas of Shri Krishna, so it appears to us as if Karma is affecting him but in reality Krishna wants it that way, for us to learn.

Only Krishna can liberate from Karma, thus he is above Karma and has the authority over all karma.

Karma is not just repercussions but it’s also ones actions.
That’s what Krishna is teaching, to perform actions and be detached from results.
All these material energy around us is his Yog maya (a devotee of his) who acts according to his will. Yog maya can never affect him.
