Hey guys! Some of you may have seen this already, but Matt has been doing some behind the scenes stuff on his channel. Feel free to check it out! th-cam.com/video/HKpo6zApr-k/w-d-xo.html&t
I prefer the subtle moment from the end of Vol. 2 when Rocket says "He didn't chase them away. Even though he yelled at them. And was always mean. And he stole batteries he didn't need." And the look on Peter's face when he realizes that Rocket is talking about himself rather than Yondu. Fucks me up every time.

I think this proves Matt is most receptive when you don't tell him about the movie. As soon as he hears something good or bad about it, something in his subconscious that makes him want to try and disapprove it by either looking for the good in a disliked movie, or looking for the bad in a beloved movie. When he goes in blind, he acknowledges both and ends up with conflicted feelings like with this one. In other words, Matt is the biggest hipster and he doesn't even know it

That's exactly what I came to comment because I always hear 'no one dies,' and even when people inevitably list off the characters who actually remain dead, Groot's sacrifice is often forgotten. Groot 100% dies - it's his offspring that grows back.
I'm surprised Matt didn't mention the moment Quill's mom called him "Star Lord" at the end of the movie. Matt clearly had a strong reaction to that when it happened, because it gave an emotional basis to what we previously assumed was just an over-the-top, self-aggrandizing title he gave himself. GOTG is my favorite movie in the MCU, and one of my favorite movies of all time...so I'm nervous about Matt's thoughts on this masterpiece EDIT: I'm so glad that Matt enjoyed this movie!!!
It has been a real pleasure watching these videos. I look forward to doing this same thing with my son when he gets a bit older. Sharing something you love with another person is a real treat.
This and Winter Soldier always bring me back to loving the MCU they’re so different and kinda show the range of the universe and how well done these movies are the characters
Matt you’re hooked, you’re officially a Marvel nerd if you’re crying over Groot! I’m happy you enjoyed it, Guardians is a hard one not to laugh/appreciate in some way.
Can't wait for Ultron. Matt you'll probably score it low but you'll feel some moments cut deep. I have Utron in mid ramge with marvel movies. It was a big build up for things to come though. Thank you to all 3 of you for doing this. I truly enjoy your videos.
11:13 "This movie made me cry... twice" Matt in his current form is just cocoon, inside is a beautiful butterfly that is slowly growing and will finally emerge after watching Avengers: Endgame.
You are honestly helping me get through this quarantine... these videos cheer me up, make me laugh and I love them thank you Holden you certainly deserve to be your own hero in the MCU!
I don't get why people utomatically associates Guardians of the Galaxy with Star Wars. They are very different tonally, in structures, in themes, in messages, in the way they handle he drama, in the seriousness... The only similar thing between the two is they are set in space and has a character that is an egotistical thief.
Avengers Age of Ultron is incredibly underrated, and i think Matt will like it when he sees it. It has so many heartfelt and moments of character development between the avengers and even though the first Avengers movie is a landmark in movie history, i think objectively Age of Ultron is the better movie. Let the downvotes come.
Agreed. I'm rewatching the MCU movies starting with Captain America: The First Avenger and I'd give the first Avengers and Age of Ultron a similiar rating and I love them both. I personally think Endgame is the weakest Avengers movie as a whole. The Avengers: 8/10 Age of Ultron: 8/10 Infinity War: 10/10 Ensdgame: 6/10
This was the movie i was most confident Matt would like, and i'm glad he enjoyed it. The chemistry you three have makes these videos so much better. Matt singing right in Holden's face during the title sequence was great.
Hey guys, I'm new to this channel but I've really enjoyed this series with you Holden, Matt and Jenna on first time watching films. As a fan of most of the films, I've appreciated the reactions and the dialogue about each one. After the MCU, I suggest another series like The Hunger Games or some other epic film series. Keep up the good work. I've subscribed to both channels. Nice job.
Great videos! It looks like you making some new true believers Holden. The deeper you get into the MCU the more Matt and Jenny are embracing, loving this #1 franchise.
Oh god Age of Ultron is next..... Man fck that movie. Everything about it is a bad movie that is bad and NOT very good. People say Luke Skywalker was assassinated nah nah nah nah ULTRON was completely destroyed because they wanted robot Loki. And for all the things he could've done he just said "big crash into earth BOOM" like....and this could've been the starting point to the Avengers being split you know, SETUP for Civil War (which is one of my favorite movies) but no, you take this movie out literally nothing changes. Sokovia Accords could easily be named something else, and be based on the NY fight, and the incident in Lagos in Civil War. And oh god don't even get me started on the Bruce/Natasha shit that never went anywhere ever. Thanks I hate it.
I don't normally like and subscribe channels and videos anymore, but I've been watching all of these videos on the MCU since they came out and TH-cam suggested them. I haven’t left this comment in a while, so here it is again. You guys are amazing! You have really great chemistry and your breakdowns of these movies are so entertaining to listen to! Keep up the great work!
Bobby B ❤️❤️
GOTG is my favorite movie in the MCU, and one of my favorite movies of all time...so I'm nervous about Matt's thoughts on this masterpiece
EDIT: I'm so glad that Matt enjoyed this movie!!!
I think Matt and Jenna will love Antman. It’s low key one of my favs
We’ve actually seen four infinity stones to this point: Mind, Space, Power, Reality
Glark but we’ve seen it though
@@glark7368 HIS POINT IS THAT EVEN THOUGH THEY DON'T KNOW IT THERE HAVE BEEN 4 STONES
@@Howzercc THATS RIGHT WHY ARE WE ALL YELLING
@kocoates7 in Thor the dark world they mention that it's a stone
@@darak1455 ALSO I DON'T KNOW WHY WE'RE YELLING
"....the CGI character racoon, i was worried about him but he was alright....".....yeeeah because Groot was definitely not CGI the whole time :DD
Matt: Likes Guardians of the Galaxy
*Everyone liked that*
It's been 9 months...HOW DOESNT THIS HAVE ANY REPLY!?!?!?
It has been a real pleasure watching these videos. I look forward to doing this same thing with my son when he gets a bit older. Sharing something you love with another person is a real treat.
Someone needs to show Matt ‘watch out here comes out my arrow’
Rohan Ann after vol. 2
This and Winter Soldier always bring me back to loving the MCU they’re so different and kinda show the range of the universe and how well done these movies are the characters
No one:
Matt: I liked when homeboy gave that thing to homeboy just before they met homeboy with homeboy, but I didn’t like homeboy
lacari0 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I am homeboy.
@@EternalDensity We are homeboy.
Honestly, I'm just really glad that Jenna is there because she is one of the only people that I can halfway agree on.
"I never saw Parks and Recurations"
Elysium I haven’t either
He's wearing a Dunder Miflin shirt. He might like Parks and Rec.
zaqqaz yeah created by the same guy so very similar
What a surprise Matt popped a tear
Matt you’re hooked, you’re officially a Marvel nerd if you’re crying over Groot! I’m happy you enjoyed it, Guardians is a hard one not to laugh/appreciate in some way.
Can't wait for Ultron. Matt you'll probably score it low but you'll feel some moments cut deep. I have Utron in mid ramge with marvel movies. It was a big build up for things to come though. Thank you to all 3 of you for doing this. I truly enjoy your videos.
Star Lord: There’s a legend about you people called foot loose
Matt: I’ve NevEr SeEn FooTloOsE
Holden’s face: I didn’t expect anything less
What? But foot loose is the best movie of all time except when it never was
Holy forking shirt you guys we got Matt teary eyed!
Hollie love The Good Place reference 😊
Matt: enjoys film
Me: impossible
11:13 "This movie made me cry... twice"
Matt in his current form is just cocoon, inside is a beautiful butterfly that is slowly growing and will finally emerge after watching Avengers: Endgame.
Yep, he cried 5 times
What kind of beer does homeboy drink?
Homebrew. 😃
You are honestly helping me get through this quarantine... these videos cheer me up, make me laugh and I love them thank you Holden you certainly deserve to be your own hero in the MCU!
Since Matt likes Drax he’ll be disappointed when he finds out that Drax isn’t in Infinity War
Drax is in Infinity War, what are you talking about? The "why is Gamora" line is from Infinity War lol. Do you mean Endgame?
@@jorbador1484 he's referencing his whole being invisible gag
@@jorbador1484 I didn't see no Drax in Infinity War
So stupid lol
@@Lavender_Gooms25 ahhh... thank you. guess the wording flew over my head lol
Glad you guys liked this one! This was a great film! Can’t wait to see Age of Ultron!
Haven’t seen it yet , this’ll remind him heavily of Star Wars but overall the fun factor in it will win him over hopefully!
I don't get why people utomatically associates Guardians of the Galaxy with Star Wars. They are very different tonally, in structures, in themes, in messages, in the way they handle he drama, in the seriousness... The only similar thing between the two is they are set in space and has a character that is an egotistical thief.
John Elmar yes but this is Matt we’re talking about. He said that even Thor reminded him of Star Wars
Ok. So that Dunder Mifflin Inc. shirt is 👍👍 from me! Matt has good taste!
I loke him talking aboat medical stuff and how its portraid im movies. As a truckdriver im pretty sick of a flat tyre resulting in an explosion.
I think he will like VOL.2 even better... please make that video sooon!!!
Headline: Matt says there's no heart in Star Wars.
Jk. Love the channel.
2:49 - This is the most wholesome shit I have ever seen
Avengers Age of Ultron is incredibly underrated, and i think Matt will like it when he sees it. It has so many heartfelt and moments of character development between the avengers and even though the first Avengers movie is a landmark in movie history, i think objectively Age of Ultron is the better movie.
Let the downvotes come.
Agreed. I'm rewatching the MCU movies starting with Captain America: The First Avenger and I'd give the first Avengers and Age of Ultron a similiar rating and I love them both. I personally think Endgame is the weakest Avengers movie as a whole.
The Avengers: 8/10
Age of Ultron: 8/10
Infinity War: 10/10
Ensdgame: 6/10
This was the movie i was most confident Matt would like, and i'm glad he enjoyed it. The chemistry you three have makes these videos so much better. Matt singing right in Holden's face during the title sequence was great.
If there is one movie that GOTG is NOT at all like, it’s Star Wars.
said i was done last video but i´m back matt like it...yeah....now let´s wait for Jenna to really like one of the movies
Matt: nobody ever dies.
Endgame: Are you sure about that
Wow I was just gonna see some John Cena kissing videos
Guardians two guardians one
Some of the only quality content left . Keep it up 👍
I literally took a break from a movie I’m watching a movie to watch this movie
Hey guys, I'm new to this channel but I've really enjoyed this series with you Holden, Matt and Jenna on first time watching films. As a fan of most of the films, I've appreciated the reactions and the dialogue about each one. After the MCU, I suggest another series like The Hunger Games or some other epic film series. Keep up the good work. I've subscribed to both channels. Nice job.
I think matts gonna call this cool star wars. I havent watched yet btw
After this I decided to go against what I normally do because this content is just so wholesome.
Love the videos guys. Keep doing you!
Actually, Groot died. The new Groot growing is like "his son"
More like their son now lol
That's so weird to think about I've never thought about it
I’ve been rewatching these “my friend watches” videos in order and Holden it’s cool seeing Matt evolve with the movies, seems way more open minded!!
im glad y'all like this!!
