Yes. Deadpool; like Wolverine, isn't a hero, but also not a villain... The hero that does bad things to accomplish good things is an ANTI-HERO... weird term, but it's the term
One thing that Deadpool is consistently referenced to is as the "merc with a mouth" because he's always spitting out comments, whether it's a sarcastic response to a serious comment, a joke that lands flat, or just a random thought: it's part of his character. It showcases how intensely his mind switches from one topic to another, sometimes even in the midst of a fight, giving us a peak into his mind. He's an anti-hero, a "bad guy" (living by a code that conflicts with what would be considered good) that is out to take out bad guys, in this case for selfish reasons. I didn't have much exposure to Deadpool other than bits of comics that I had seen referenced online. Around when this came out, I ended up getting some of his comics and enjoying them thoroughly. The way I think about him is as a character that really gets to have a lot of fun in the superhero universe because he has a unique perspective, knowing he's in a fictional world. It's a lot of fun to see a character like that, along with an insane healing factor power and a background as a gun for hire, unleashed into the world. Looking forward to seeing the Deadpool 2 reaction!
I think the thing people miss and that they may have marketed wrong is that this isn't a superhero movie, powers + suits don't equal superhero, it's 100% an Anti-Hero movie, because that's who deadpool is, and that's shown via the other characters, Colossus and Negasonic represent what a Superhero is/should be, while Francis and Angel represent villains, Deadpool is smack bang in the middle of both of them
I think the jokes that come out flat, whether or not they were intentional in this movie, are a part of Deadpool’s character. He’s like a more extreme version of Spider-Man, where to him pretty much any moment is a good moment for a joke or a comment, whether cheesy or not.

I know the movie is bad, but somehow I like it. he gave very subjective opinions and to be real he is really talking nothing about the movie, it is more about himself. As a viewer, I enjoy him a lot, he is entertaining, like all the horrible characters in a TV show that you just love to hate them because they just don't view anything with a objective standard and make everything about themselves. always need to be the different one, always need to be the centre focus. I really like him in the video but I can only image how hard to have a friend like that. but he maybe a very nice guy in the real world, he could be a great friend that is why people will put up with all of his attention seeking. I don't judge person by just how I only see them in some video. all I said is just from videos I saw. from what I know it is just a on screen character choice and he only act that way because he knows he don't care how other people view him.. I love self-centered characters on TV and shows but really hate them in real life.
I get the views of " Ryan acts the same in every movie" the thing is the personality of Deadpool IS Ryan's comedy style , which is why it fit so perfectly. I feel like before the movie you guys should have let everyone that didnt know who deadpool was that he is the "merc with a mouth" , a very sarcastic anti hero that breaks the forth wall . People may not understand thats what Deadpool is supposed to be and not just Ryan's acting style.
Any criticisms of the humour and/or convenient plot points can just be explained by saying 'It's Deadpool though...' and that's what makes it so good. Also, i prefer Deadpool 2.
Exactly. Like the big nitpick seemed to be that Ryan Reynold was too Ryan Reynoldsy... But for this role, that make sense, with the notion that Deadpool and his quippiness is partially based on Ryan Reynolds.
Nobody actually knows who he’s asking about, nobody knows who Francis is, they know him as Ajax, its not until he asks for ‘your boss’ that he gets an answer.

Tbh so far that I’ve watched, none.
I love how they keep the Deadpool vs Wolverine comic vibes without even mentioning the character rivalry from the comics LOL!
matt in every show: I know the movie is good but I don't like good things. I like what make me feel better.
Nailed it.
Wow you described him perfectly
That dude with the Zorg haircut is the type of dude you don’t watch movies with. Probably drinks cold brew and ENJOYS kale.
I always Love Jeremys input Lol.
Paster:you can't make your bigon Jim moment matt:YES I CAN
He didn’t like Logan.... yeah he doesnt know what he’s talking about lmao
JEN & JENNA! 🙌 best DUO ever!
legend says matt still complaining even its 2022
Any criticisms of the humour and/or convenient plot points can just be explained by saying 'It's Deadpool though...' and that's what makes it so good. Also, i prefer Deadpool 2.
Nah. I was let down by the amount of jokes they reused. They got lazy on the writing.
Exactly. Like the big nitpick seemed to be that Ryan Reynold was too Ryan Reynoldsy...
But for this role, that make sense, with the notion that Deadpool and his quippiness is partially based on Ryan Reynolds.
@@Rated314 it is literally based on ryan deadpool pretty much casted ryan word by word in a comic
Nobody actually knows who he’s asking about, nobody knows who Francis is, they know him as Ajax, its not until he asks for ‘your boss’ that he gets an answer.
Pastor’s 501st legion shirt is awesome.
Just a fun fact, this was marketed during Valentine's season with billboards suggesting it was a romantic movie to see on Valentine's Day (the day I believe it came out). I went on a valentine's date to see Deadpool (I knew what I was getting into beforehand) but it was really creative marketing.
Deadpool is more a antihero like Darkman, Punisher or John Constantine.
Funniest thing in this is Matt's haircut..
Next on Holden Hardman, My rabbit watches supergirl for the first time.
