BD-1 is certainly a good companion to have on a journey. Glad he met Cal Kestis. Both have a lot in common-serving the Jedi Order, losing their masters, and both wanting to do good no matter what. He’s more than a droid, but a true friend. Someone to have along a “Ride or Die” journey with. Whatever the odds, no matter how difficult the path is. BD-1 is always there to help. No matter the obstacle.

This is so lovely. I cried over lunch after finally watching this on my big screen. Such a beautiful, well done tribute to the Galaxy’s best droid. If they hurt BD-1 in Jedi 3 WE RIDE
The goodist boy who more than deserves this wonderful tribute. Out of all the videos you’ve made, this one is the first to move me to tears. Granted, it had the advantage of playing on what was already the most impactful moment of the first game, (the Ilum scene) but nothing relating to the Jedi games has hit me quite the same way as experiencing that scene for the first time until now. In terms of construction, I don’t think I could pick a best moment, I particularly liked 2:01 in a montage that emphasises how joint at the hip characters are. Also, this video has just now made me realise that BB1 may in fact be in dreadful danger in the next game. (at least in a meta way) because I wouldn’t put it past the developers to play on the audiences general love of BB1 to absolutely shatter us emotionally.
He is the best boy! And definitely the heart of the Jedi series- I love his relationship with Cal and how they take turns caring for each other. Definitely interested to see how they both are challenged as the story continues. Thanks for commenting and appreciating the emotional gut punch of Ilum as much as I do 🙏
The soundtracks for both games are INCREDIBLE and do so much storytelling with their motifs and character themes. Couldn't think of anything better to use for BD's tribute :)
