There are conflicting stories about John, a little while ago there was a press story on him saying he just plays golf and he cant talk about Queen anymore but he signed the fan club Christmas card a few years ago to the amazement of us fan club members, now and then an official signed autograph will appear on ebay from very recent times. John deserves all his retirement, he has a large family to spend time with. Love the guy for the years of happiness he has given to my life.
Not only were bands required to lip synch on Top of the Pops, the “drum set” had plastic symbols that Roger absolutely hated!! 😂. Also - Freddie would stand by mostly Brian & Roger to bring the camera to them. Otherwise, the camera guys tended to focus only on Freddie. John was shy, so Freddie didn’t stand by him too often.

Given the fact the band kept Freddie’s illness quiet until his death in 1991 and neither Roger nor Brian say anything other than Freddie’s death deeply affected John. If there is more, they are not saying. We just do not know the complexities of everything involved.. one thing for sure John was always a family man first and foremost and careful to provide for his family. Why he has chosen to withdraw maybe to do with “fragility” as I have heard some say or a medical issue or simply that Freddie was the reason he stayed in the band and after he passed he didn’t want a new music based life and may also simply not see himself involved in a “celebrity”. There’s an interview (early 80’s I think) where the band is being asked about solo careers. Johns answer was very short and straight “No I would never do that, I cant sing” The other thing is to think about the type of music John liked and wrote ... very different to everyone else. except perhaps Fred who also loved disco/pop ballad type of songs Anyway as much as I too would love for John to be more visible from time to time, it seems pretty unlikely - john made his position clear when he left, “it isn’t Queen without Freddie”. As long as the life he has is good/manageable/ fulfilling .. whatever the words are then, that’s all that’s important.

I don't know if groups or singers are used to create songs for their fans or audience to thank them. But it's not the first time Queen dit it. They really liked to interact with their public during concerts and to give presents like special songs. A real good song.

Many of said it was the first song displaying that “Queen” sound and critics were amazed at Freddie’s cleaver lyrics along with his vocals. This song was a tribute to South America fans who greeted them and they were amazing. They were huge in South America.

The song is FATHER TO SON the live version from the Rainbow concert back in November of 1974. Its one of my favorite songs that FREDDIE kills the vocals and BRIAN shredds the guitar as always. Yes from Hot Space album. Quite often gets labelled as one of their worst albums but I love it. When you've got this song & Under Pressure on it, how can it be classed as a bad album.
It's one of this situations where artists have the pressure to produce hits. Even there "worst" album is good in today's standard.

"Las palabras de amor" in spanish means "The words of love" in english. Then they say "despacito, mi amor" an that means "slowly, my love".Greetings!

They sang in a different language at least 4 times I can think of off the cuff.... This, Teo Torriate in Japanese, a Hungarian folk song when they were in Hungary, then Mustapha in Arabic. I've heard Brian speak Spanish and French in interviews

Top of the pops only wanted them to lip sync, Queen would always prefer to sing Live if they could.
Queen hated lip sync and Freddie used to make it obvious, check out the sets they had to do at montreux festivals...all mimed & Freddie hardly put mic to his mouth
