The song Las Palabras de Amor was written by Brian May in honor of the Argentine and Brazilian fans who filled soccer stadiums during Queen's tour of South America. The single was released in 1982 during the Falklands (Malvinas) War between the UK and Argentina. Queen's performance on Top of the Pops ended up being used as an official video by the band.
Beautiful! This was in tribute to all their Latin American fans and culture, just as "Teo Toriatte" (which I highly recommend) was in tribute to their Japanese fans! There is still loads more from Queen you haven't heard yet! Keep going! 39, bring back that Leroy brown, modern times rock n' roll, you and I, rock it (prime jive), soul brother, my fairy king, "son and daughter" and "father to son" both live at the rainbow, millionaire's waltz, let me entertain you Japan 1979, etc!
@@alittlethisalittlethat8050 LOL Great minds think alike, I had "you and I" among my above suggestions as well. There are enough awesome songs to make your head spin and/or lose track!
I love this song. I never noticed that Roger is a bit pale in this. Lol - but it's a better look than when he accidentally dyed his hair green in 1979!
You crack me up, Roger did look like a ghost in that one shot. Hahaha…Freddie seems very calm in this song and another song he’s calm in is My Melancholy Blues in Houston. As per usual, both songs are awesome.
I keep forgetting how much I like this song. Thank you for playing and reacting. Another song where Brian May has his guitar on his lap when he plays the keyboard, John Deacon is looking cool in that shirt, Freddie is looking super elegant in his tux and Roger is looking ghostly!
Freddie was a trained artist; genius musician. We have the ambiance Queen wanted for this. Extremely touching. This, written by Brian and produced so beautifully, really - -- - perfect. Thanks for today.
Regardless of musical tastes, there is no denying the uniqueness of Freddie Mercury's voice, one of the most recognizable in the music scene. A voice that has enchanted and continues to enchant millions of people. Science even intervened to study his "vibrato", many debates to clarify whether he was a baritone or a light tenor, as if it were just a well-functioning "mechanism". But science comes to the mind, not the heart, and Freddie sang with feeling and passion. His voice reaches deep inside. And 'one of the few if not the only one who manages to get in people's lives making them move, cry and laugh at the same time. 🌹❤👑🌹
Thank you for your video. I enjoyed it a lot. I rediscovered Queen recently and it's grest fun to hear reactions of others. I was too supreised by the video clip and Freddie beeing so calm. But this song is growing on me. Sometimes you just need a simple message in a song!
Hey, love your reactions! Some suggestions: - Freddie Mercury, the great pretender (also the behind the scenes) - Freddie Mercury funny moments part 2 and 3 - Freddie and Roger being besties for 13 minutes straight - Soul brother (Fred wrote this for Brian, it's very sweet) - These are the days of our lives documentary (if you split it up in several parts it probably won't get blocked) - Lap of the gods, live at the Rainbow
Ohh Cash i love you young brother💛! you made my day again! I just love Freddie in Tuxedo, he look so Romantic😍 Freddie is my Words Of Love. Another song Freddie wrote in another Language(Arabic?😅) is "Mustapha" here's the link th-cam.com/video/5-zh0a6nDTo/w-d-xo.html
Roger lives in England, it rains all the time, there is so little sun, it is not easy to get a tan. Brian wrote this song I believe. He speaks a bit of Spanish and wrote this as a tribute to all of their Latin American fans and Queen has a lot of them. Very pretty song. Top Of The Pops made all the bands lip sync their songs and Queen hated that.
@@kingstumble It is a comparative statement. I have lived in the SW USA most of my life where we get over 300 all sunshine days each year. London gets over 100 days a year more rain than we do and even more cloudy-partly cloudy days than we do. Here we have some degree of tan all year if we spend any time outside.
@@kingstumble and what is your point? Roger is lacking a tan so he obviously wasn't getting a lot of dunking at the time. "All the time" was again a comparative statement. I think everyone understands it doesn't rain 24/7 in England.

LOL! I've always liked the song BUT not the ToTP video. Freddie looks like a Greek waiter who's been threatened with the sack if he's too exuberant; Brian looks like an earnest school teacher; Roger looks bored and John didn't get the memo about formalwear.

Freddie may be in a tux but it looks like he still has his Adidas on. Roger is pale and has to wear sunglasses a lot to protect his light eyes.

Freddie is Indian from India, he was born on Zanzibar. He was born an English citizen. Roger is like me and we don't like extreme paleness.
He's not Indian, he's Persian
His parents were born in India
Freddie is racialy persian
Their ethnicity was parsi
You had to be a direct desendant of persians of the zorioastrian faith who fled to India 8th/ 10th century and of the zorioastrian faith
To be parsi
The law was changed in 1908 when his father was born but changed again
But both his parents are parsi
There arent many parsi in India many arent marrying or only having one child
His parents weren't citizens of zanzibar so he had their nationality
Bri Indian
But they had their independance the following year we dont know what they did then but his parents stayed in zanzibar
Freddie only went to India for education and when he came to Britain he registered as a citizen of zanzibar
I dont think he saw himself as Indian as such and when his sister was asked she said he wasn't
But his family always said they were parsi which includes Indian culture
He was British parsi of Indian parsi parents I think is the best way to explai
