    I bought the Propain Ekano 165mm. Lead time was about a month. Customer service was quite simply brilliant. One of the best I have dealt with.
    I agree the customisation could be abit better, but the fact you can is much better than other brands. I just specced the cheapest option on brakes and bought some Hopes and sold the oem brakes as new when they arrived.
    For the spec, Fox suspension etc nothing else came close in price. It rides awesome.

      @bradpickett4604 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Extremegaz25 I love it! The suspension is plush, it rolls over chunky rock like it's nothing. The only issue I have is cornering--doesn't seem to corner as tight as my downhill bike. But, putting a new DHR 2 on the rear with cushcore tomorrow and switching the front to the Assegai. Hoping that will help with cornering a bit. Other than that, it a great bike that I would recommend to anyone.

    Forwarded this to a friend looking for his first e bike as it’s a good level headed assessment apart for your apparent love of the Shimano dated motors. I think the new Bosch gen 4 motor and battery size sets new standards in this ever exciting technologically expanding industry. Great to see prices are beginning to get reasonable and the emergence of great new brands.

    4.500€ CUBE STEREO HYBRID 140 HPC SL 625 29 is the best value e-mtb out there, hands down!
    Shimano group-set: 12 speed transmission, 10-51, SLX, XT, brakes, axles.
    Fox suspensions 140mm frt & rear
    Bosch Kiox (Bluetooth!), 2020 Gen 4 motor, 625 Wh powertube integrated batt
    Composite fwd frame
    Dropper seat
    29” - 2,6” Schwalbe tires!

    • @SamsBikes
      @SamsBikes  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep can I ask why you when the 140 not the 160?!

    • @ruirodtube
      @ruirodtube 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sam’s Bikes because it costs 6.000€ to get the 160 Actionteam that has the same equipment as the 140 SL which costs only 4.500€
      And the 160 only offers 27,5” wheels whereas the 140 comes with the 29” wheels which I find to be an enormous improvement.
      What’s your opinion?

    Interesting video and well explained, not really sure if they should be regarded as budget bikes tho. More upper mid range really in my opinion. Good bang for your buck perhaps.
    Do not get me wrong I do not mean budget bikes should be 500 Euro Amazon specials (as they will be crap) I will/do/have spent 3000-5000 on various EMTB's and standard MTB's, but if you are new to EMTB and want entry level into the sport you can get something for 1500 - 2500 which may not come with Fox 36's but will make a great upgradable platform as your interest increases.

    I'd look at the Commencal Meta Power 29 as my pick.
    Also aluminium frames are good with integrated batteries as they help dissipate the heat the batteries put out when in use.
    There are designs with the Carbon frames to help but they can end up being fowled or have issues with moisture entering in the vents. Be interesting to know of long term all weather riding and the effects of moisture on the carbon vented frames.
    How does the Kona 435mm chain stays go when tackling tech climbs? Is the seat enough forward to keep the front end from lofting under power?

    • @SamsBikes
      @SamsBikes  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching totally agree with all you said, I’m pretty sure the Kona will climb well enough, at the end of the day you need to know what you want a climber a downhiller or a bit of both! The meta 29er is a nice nice bike as well

    7:54 luckily everyones taste is different ;) for me it is the best looking bike out of all in 2020, especially the 140 HPC TM version. The frame design looks so clean and aggressive compared to other bikes. Just to give an example: for me the radon bikes and specialized kenevo and levo frame designs looks just like a mess ... again, its just personal taste ;)

    Great video with the timing that I get AFIB sometimes riding and when I get it I cant ride uphill. The last time I got it one rider in the group let me ride his Spec Levo (with upgraded and increased travel). Now I'm converted and looking.
    My current bike is a YT Jeffsy 27.5 2018. I notice there are more 29 or mullet bikes with not many 27.5 apart from 2019 Merida or Kona remote which has just been reduced in price. The Trek rail 7 looks ok and are getting cheaper when on sale , do you think I could stick a 27.5 rear wheel on?
    Cheers from Auckland NZ

    • @SamsBikes
      @SamsBikes  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Grant, thanks for the comment... to be honest the Merida is a banging bike.. have you seen my review of the 10K? well its not really a review I talk to my mate that has one and he loves it... I have actually changed my decoy to 27 front and back I like it more but each to there own.. Im sure you could change the Rail to a mullet but might be best just to go for a Merida seeing the prices are so good in oz and nz... good luck let us know how you go.

      Hey Matt not sure what happened to your message about the loam wolf but in September he released his first review on the decoy and all the facts were wrong and he didn’t explain at all how I felt the bike was and is! I think he rode the bike long enough to get some b roll and make the video. I sent him a message just giving him a head up that a lot of the info was wrong he pulled the video 24 hours later after get a shit storm of comments. He’s a big TH-cam but I think you can’t review a bike in one ride.

      @@SamsBikes i have given him some stick myself for a cop out claim about some mystical tune which fixes the bike for 2020. I'd rather he just say that for some reason we really liked this years ride and it's possible last year we just didnt get it dialed in right. I'd at least have some respect for the honesty. Glad you also pulled him up on his review lol.
