Oh my god who the hell is this man. I've never seen him before but.... like... he has so much charisma and charm and dignity and grace just oozing out of him, I can't do anything but just sit here mesmerized.
I don't notice anything wrong with your voice. Anyway, a good way to bring anyone down to earth is make them listen to their own recorded voice. There are very few people that like the sound of their own voice. Kevin is probably one of them.
Love that Colbert threw in the "Oscar winning" in the introduction. Not many actors get recognized for comedic performances, and his performance in A Fish Called Wanda is one of the most savagely funny performances in all of cinema.
Kevin Kline is one superbly fine actor, equally good in serious roles (e.g. Cry Freedom, Sophie's Choice) as in comedic roles (e.g. A Fish Called Wanda, In & Out). Luv him.
@@laurettelaliberte8864 yes! Omg, chaplin alone was an amazing movie because of Robert downey jrs performance, but when kevin kline comes in it just blows through the roof. He is the main reason I love a fish called Wanda too. John cleese is a god but kevin steals that movie too. Not to mention he is Mr.fischoeder in Bob's burgers. Even in a cartoon his character wins every scene they're in.
As a kid, I grew up listening to him in "The Road to El Dorado" and as an adult I get to hear him as Mr. Fischoeder in "Bob's Burgers". He's the only person in that cast that gets a "special guest star" billing and he definitely does make it special every time he shows up
Indeed!!! He didn't even talk about the movie (which, btw, is a total waste of his talents - as Nathan Lane once said about "Mirror, mirror": "a story crying out to be retold...")
When I met Kevin on April 14 2012, when he and I shook hands, they were so big that I said to him: "You have beautiful hands." Before we let go of each other, I peeked at the speckled spots that kept attracting me since he was on Jimmy Fallon playing piano and promoting The Extra Man in July 2010. Also in his middle stages, he looked so much like a youngster.
I was just thinking in terms of dignity while Kline was walking in, and then Stephen says exactly that! Kline's done some really ridiculous stuff, but somehow he's always dignified while doing it. Don't know how he pulls that off, but it's impressive.
its refreshing to see Kevin being himself up there, its nerve racking and even kevin kline is not immune. Its a good thing nerves are natural and interesting, sometimes a pain but often useful. Kevin kline is one very talented and interesting man.
chasingsunsets I'm almost 22 and I've had a crush on him for 8 years last December (2016). I started becoming a fan on December 19 2008. He was so funny and handsome in this episode.
At the moment I have no idea how old he is in real (though I am a big fan too), because he looks amazing! :) He's rarely on TV show-s nowadays. Wish him all the best!
I find him funny whether it's a comedy or a drama by not only the jokes and pranks, but also the way he or his characters say or do stuff on screen or on TV.
I know this is a silly comment, but it's so refreshing to see a man with a suit that actually fits properly. Love Kevin's movies, though like Meryl Streep, would never ever want to hang out with the man.
Pet Hate of mine - people that talk out loud on trains, all of their private and business stuff OUT LOUD. GRRRRR. I once was on a train where someone did this and I typed into my own phone....WHAT A WANKER.....and passed my phone around to the other passengers nearby. We all looked at each other, nodded and wet ourselves laughing. The guy put the phone down and huffed off.
Oh my god who the hell is this man. I've never seen him before but.... like... he has so much charisma and charm and dignity and grace just oozing out of him, I can't do anything but just sit here mesmerized.
Welcome to the club 😉
Phoebe Cates is a lucky lady!
You must see him in Dave. Incredible.
He's my favorite Bob's Burgers character. That's saying something, that is a sacred trust.
I love how all his sentences end in a delightfully low register. I wish I had a voice that didn't suck.
I don't notice anything wrong with your voice. Anyway, a good way to bring anyone down to earth is make them listen to their own recorded voice. There are very few people that like the sound of their own voice. Kevin is probably one of them.
Kevin Kline in 'A Fish Called Wanda' is one of the greatest performances ever put to film. Oscar history!
I love his voice, it's just so... pleasant.
Love that Colbert threw in the "Oscar winning" in the introduction. Not many actors get recognized for comedic performances, and his performance in A Fish Called Wanda is one of the most savagely funny performances in all of cinema.
What an amazing actor! Loved his role at the French Kiss with Meg Ryan... I would love to hear him narrating an audio book 📚
Kevin Kline is one superbly fine actor, equally good in serious roles (e.g. Cry Freedom, Sophie's Choice) as in comedic roles (e.g. A Fish Called Wanda, In & Out). Luv him.
My favorite has always been French Kiss!
Kline and Colbert are very much alike. I hadn't noticed, but they gelled so well. They should re-make Dirty Rotten Scoundrels together.
Favorite Kline movie? Dave. :-)
French Kiss!! I love his French accent and his sings "La Mer" at the end
Me who is here from Bob’s Burgers: I feel so… unsophisticated… 😐
He could totally pass for an actor in the 1920s.
That's why he was so good in Chaplin.
He can totally pass for Melinda Gates lol

Like Cole Porter
I would kill to see Kevin Kline play Mark Twain in a biopic
Seriously? What would you kill? Or who? He's that good?
I think that is kind of Hal Holbrook's thing. Kline was great as Cole Porter, though.
I would kill to be in his shoe and be Phoebe's husband.
Or Melinda gates 🤷🏽♂️
Or Melinda Gates
This man just never ages. Very Handsome lol also amazing actor, Fish Called Wanda but i really really loved Fierce Creatures! Great movie.
Kline always kills it. Was great in I Love You To Death. 🙂
love studying for finals aka procrastinating through stephen and kevin
20 years later and I still have final exam p.t.s.d. when people talk about it.
Kelly me, right now, instead of typing up my notes.
Kelly Get focused! A job at McDonald's is in your future!
good lucky with your finals. Laughter is good. Sleep even better.

Colbert's interviews have gotten so much better. Finally a late night host who makes conversations interesting.
Indeed!!! He didn't even talk about the movie (which, btw, is a total waste of his talents - as Nathan Lane once said about "Mirror, mirror": "a story crying out to be retold...")
He will always be Mr. Fischoeder to me.
Saaaaaame
He'll always be the Pirate King.
lmao so this is frankie cosmos' pops
I knew him as an actor before knowing her music. Love both of them so much tho
‘A Fish Called Wanda’ ... Kevin simply steals the whole film, hands down ... masterful
That bow at the end and making a shy gesture is so moe. I didn't think someone like him could be so moe. My God!
Great actor/film star of the silver screen and stage.
This is one of the best interviews with Kevin I've seen! He's hilarious.
Mr. Fischoeder!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, Bourbon!
Legend. If you aren't familiar with KK, immediately watch, 'A Fish Called Wanda'.
Cannot believe Kevin Kline is 69 years old !! He looks just about the same age as Stephen Colbert who is 52 years old.
he looks like he's about to turn 50, not 70 O.o even his hands look young. Good job looking after himself :)

Good to see Kline still looking sharp!
i have the weirdest crush on kevin kline. I'm 20 XD
20XD - is that a big or small bra size?
chasingsunsets I'm almost 22 and I've had a crush on him for 8 years last December (2016). I started becoming a fan on December 19 2008. He was so funny and handsome in this episode.
chasingsunsets I'm 19. You are not alone, and it's not weird.
Im 17 and I also have a HUGE crush on him, my friends think im weird...even my girlfriend thinks im weird af! You're not alone!!!!

Love Kevin Kline.. there's something about him that reminds me of Robin Williams.
And now I feel sad :(
God i love and miss robin :(
:) Juliard men.
i want him to read me bedtime stories
When did Kevin Kline turn into my British grandfather?
Sorry, I missed it too. Went to use the WC.
So this is the guy who made my underwear.
LOL
That would be Calvin Kline, lol
You mean the kid in the cartoon? I'm was thinking Calvin Coolidge.
I guess they call you Cal...
lol //
I saw Kevin Klein in that play at the St. James theater.... wonderful play, wonderful performance!
This man needs to narrate my live!~
life*
Love him on Bob's Burgers!
Me too
Yes!
Captain Phoebus!!
Pure gold :-)
Tulio and Miguel mighty and powerful gods
asongbirdsnature I refer Road to El Dorado as "The Man who would be king" for kids because both movies are based on Rudyard Kipling's story
Greatly talented funny guy, and lucky enough to be married to Phoebe Cates. Lucky bastard.
he always reminds me of Errol Flynn
Loved your tongue in cheek performance. Subtle and brilliant.
Love Kevin klein
This guy is effortlessly hilarious
At the moment I have no idea how old he is in real (though I am a big fan too), because he looks amazing! :) He's rarely on TV show-s nowadays. Wish him all the best!
He isn't just voicing a character, the character is literally HIM!!
As he gets older, he looks more and more like an equally older Errol Flynn.
Don't call him stupid.
"Nice work if you can get it." Brilliant!!
Kevin's CLASSY....
Kevin Kline doesn't age. He looks exactly the same as he did 25 years ago.
He's so handsome at any age from an 18 year old to be graduating from priory to a 70 year old.
I love Kevin Kline 😍😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😘
I'll be damned, Bill Mitchell grew a mustache.
Love this guy
Kevin Kline gives off major "I wish I was British" vibes.
Kevin Kline is funny.
I find him funny whether it's a comedy or a drama by not only the jokes and pranks, but also the way he or his characters say or do stuff on screen or on TV.
haha I love the false humility bows
oh his voice. What a great voice.
In & Out.......GENIUS.
I loved this guy's performance in the 2002 film, The Emperor's Club.
A well spoken American?... Mind blown!
Don't call him stupid...
My name is Otto... it means 8.
''Asshole!''
Raxa Emu I'm surrounded by assholes
it's a quote from A Fish Called Wanda
Justin M I just watched A fish called Wanda hours before watching this show
Did you eat fish before watching the movie?
(It's not that funny, but I'm tired and hungry.)
He studied at Juilliard.
he seems like such a good ol chap !
I know this is a silly comment, but it's so refreshing to see a man with a suit that actually fits properly. Love Kevin's movies, though like Meryl Streep, would never ever want to hang out with the man.
I close my eyes and it's like having Mr Fischoeder next to me
He is a Pirate King.
It's crazy how much he sounds and looks like Robin Williams.
Is Kevin channeling Laurence Olivier?
He's turned into John Cleese! Ha ha ha!
How have I never made the connection between Kevin Kline and Greta Kline until now.
guys.... road to El Dorado.... it's Tulio
Melinda is that you?
I even like Wild Wild West.
Savoy1984 hahah i forgot about that
Cuthbert Bracegirdle oh batboy, we hardly knew ye.
Same
Married to Phoebe Cates- lucky guy:)
For a moment I thought, "Oh yea, he was fun in Princess Bride." Then, corrected my self that was Mandy Potemkin with Kevin Kline's mustache.
this stayed so serious, and just devolves into hilarity.
Damn, Kevin was hurt by the review calling his daughter a hipster... I felt that pain.
My man will always be Artie in Wild West
Bob, you remind me of my father.
Damn....
I was just hoping for the French Kiss 💋
Kevin Kline.
Prime-Kline
OH SHIT Artemus Gordon!
Kevin Kline would make a good Melinda Gates!
Haha
Legend.
Dave would be so much better than Donald.
Infinitely so.
Donald was?
Bíg Bird would be so much better than Donald.
Don't call him stupid.
Yeah, right. Keep lying to yourself you delusional idiot.
I plan to skip over the whole 'Mid-Life Crisis' thing, and go straight to the 'Mid-Life Cirrhosis'. * clinking ice in the background *
All I see is Mr Fischoeder speaking.
Phoebe Cates - Pool scene, Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
Arguably one of the most iconic scenes ever. He fell for her before that.
***** I didn't know that. Interesting.
Colbert for president
What kind of elizabeth bathory stuff is he doing to himself that keeps him looking so young?? He's in his seventies now and his skin is so smooth
MR. FISCHOEDER
Mr Kline if this is about my rent money we don't have it yet.
Why did I do this to myself, I was just watching kev on letterman, now I'm in fuckin hell now......😮😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 3:39
Here because of The Starling. Such a charming man.
Pet Hate of mine - people that talk out loud on trains, all of their private and business stuff OUT LOUD. GRRRRR. This was fun!
I had my mid-life crisis when I was 7 true story, and don't call me stupid
He looks like a friend of mine..
