Just had a look at changing Volvo key tag as Volvo garages no longer do this service. I cut round the joint with Stanley knife, Checked your instructions, opened up quite easily but sticky pad is a bit of bother. Once that was done I prised off the two terminals , replaced the battery and taped together with sparky tape. Tried it on my car and works a treat so thanks for saving me £40 plus fee for resetting new key tag.
Thanks so much! Just saved myself AUD290.76 by following your instructions - works perfectly andnow I've got rid of the clunky pocket dragging main key again. Used shrink wrap to recover the fob (from another youtube clip) so avoided the glue to reassemble & it will be easier to open up next time that way. Cheers!
Brilliant - Thanks a million just completed this project in ten minutes. Rather than glue it back I used black electrical tape so that it easier to do next time
