****Lesson overview****
It's all about the timing. In this lesson we fine-tune the timing of your breaths and cheek spits. This is the final step to get right before we pickup the didgeridoo. Make sure you can do this step easily before proceeding to the next.
****Lesson goals****
*You have a controlled cheek spit sound that lasts 2 -- 3 seconds
*You can take a short sniff during the first part of your cheek spit
*Your sniff is finished before your cheek spit finishes
*Be able to repeat this technique over and over without having to concentrate too much
****Training tips****
*You don't have to rush. This technique is best done slowly and controlled
*If you are having trouble, go back to the last lesson to get comfortable, then repeat this lesson
*Forget about how this technique relates to the didgeridoo, this is a breathing exercise
*Try to resist going to the next step until you find this step easy
*The fastest way get the circular breathing technique is to practice each step until it's so easy that it's boring! Only then go onto the next step
*You may have to practice 10 times, 100 times or 1000 times. It doesn't matter how many it takes, it can happen much sooner that you think
*If you try to learn the circular breathing on the didgeridoo, all your focus goes to making it sound good and you can forget about the technique. This is the long and painful way to learn. Put the didgeridoo down, practice our way and you will be circular breathing very soon
No little gimicky tricks to learn the process, just a logical progression from the very beginning and , YES, anyone can do it just PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE thousand times!! Thanks Sanshi
Thank you so much for your thorough approach to teaching this technique. 1000 times! Really, that's how freakin long it took. You're good, man. Real good. Nobody I know has patience like this for such a tedious activity. Now that I'm actually getting good at this I can hear the didge everywhere even when I'm not playing. Airplane, trees, bugs, water moving. It truly is the Earth's sound. Thanks again!
I agree. Thank you! Didgeridoo students everywhere are pursuing this dream with more ease because of your videos. My cheeks on the other hand from our last tutorial beg to disagree.
Thank you, sir! I've been so close to circular breathing for a long time, but never quite got it 'til I watched these three lessons. I've finally got the hang of it now! Thanks a ton!
Great!!! Congratulations!
OMG so bummed out not to find the 4th video of the 5-series! We LOVE your vidoes! Keep them coming please x
I've been doing these exercises right in my didge, and I have gotten this far down very well in no more than 6 hours of total playing. And by that I mean, I have played 6 hours in my total didgeridoo experience so far. I thank you very much! When the pupil is ready the teacher will appear. You are my proof of this.

ur wicked Sashiie .. thank you
It's really easy to do this 1000 times if you have a long commute to work. =) I agree, put down the didge and practice without it; it's far more convenient in addition to not forcing you to concentrate on tone.

hard to do this with a clogged nose... stupid allergies.
part 4!
cannot find part 4 and 5 :-(((( HELP!!!!
I have a crooked smile. the muscles on my lower left lip don't work too well. I'm wondering if I'm actually physically able to sustain a sound with just cheeks and no lungs.
hi there. that is unfortunate about your lip muscles. however, if you can produce the vibrations when you are droning normally then you can definitely produce them with your cheek as well! keep building up your cheek muscles by practising the exercise and you will achieve this goal. best of luck :)
Yeah I can produce a regular drone. I think I'm actually getting it. It's tricky shortening that space between the cheek drone and breathing out again without silence in between. Thanks for the quick response!
You have to pay if you want to see lessons 4 and 5.
