Alright guys, what I did was remove the fuse that controls the computer for a few minutes. I also disconnected the battery positive and negative and left it unhooked for a few minutes. After that I hooked everything back up and I was able to start my car right up. The fuse box was in back of the dash compartment that is located to the left of the steering wheel, right underneath the dash dimmer button.
I have had the same problem if you can here the starter spinning which sounds like a low whine. The car thinks that it is still started (even after sitting for long periods of time) i think its some sort of defect with the auto start/stop on the car i had a computer hooked up and was confirmed this way it is a very simple fix which i can not remember or hand what the part was called but i will post as soon as i find what i used but if you are stuck out and need to get your car home i know for sure disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes and reconnect this will kill all power and stored power and the car will start. The part is connected to the air inflow on top of the engine and has one bolt no need to waste money on a mechanic
I know it's 1yr after you posted this but I just had the same problem. I disconnected the computer fuse and both terminals on the battery. Waited a few minutes and hooked everything back up and the car started normal. Fuse box is behind the dash compartment that is to the left of the steering wheel right underneath the dash dimmer.
Chevy 2010-2019 put key in driver door turn left and hold for 60 real seconds. Don’t take key out now turn the key right hold for 60 seconds and it’s just that simple. Could work on other models as well. This is something locksmiths do after cutting the key. It’s simple left 60sec, right 60sec without removing the key. U welcome guys.
