Seeing liron on prokos channel was confusing, what a pleasent surprise, but for a moment i thought i clicked on his video from my subscriptions list rather then proko😂
We have a bunch of gouache and watercolor videos on the channel from a couple years ago! Here's one that we like: th-cam.com/video/aDMpmctWuWo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3CyV-etArNfWqDP0
And That's a no brainer to buy the course! So stoked to start learning, I have loved watercolor for years, but I've felt like I've never really understood or had much control over the medium. Thanks Proko and Liron!
The results that Liron has been getting with gouache are very impressive. That’s the kind of gouache painting I like the most. He kinda reminds me of Robert Watts in someways, although Robert is more of a wizard with gouache because of his vast experience. Man it sure would be great if you could bring Robert on here to do his gouache magic while we’re still blessed to have him.
If you can't access your pc, painting on the street directly, just observe what you are gonna paint, and decide which is gonna be the darkest tone, which the lightest on the scene, and now go finding intermediate values between them. This gives you a maximum and a minimum in the right values, gives you a range that should be spot on. So, avoiding too vanished scenes, or paintings without contrast for not having enough lighting power. Indeed, obviously this works as well at home, even if you could use your pc and a digital photo instead.
@@LironYan something I have to practice along with coloring cus most of my 1-2 years of practice is on my sketching, perspective, and anatomy. No colors. But I do get the grasp for value it's just a bit challenging. But I'm an aspiring animator, so it's something have got to get over with rather than saying it's hard
Blondie nailed it. It's been out and we have a couple free videos from it here on TH-cam already. You can find the course over at www.proko.com/perspective
If you have access to other digital tools and want to use those, there will be a different way depending on the software you have. But youc an also limit the values mentally and work within that range with your imegination and creativity. We jsut started covering values after having covered edge simplification in our Drawing Basics. The videos on those topic might help you learn to see and simplify them in your mind. Here's that playlist with those lessons in it: th-cam.com/video/tx5kJvI14Jg/w-d-xo.html

Dang I missed it! Did he say something related to this vid?
@@LironYan I was studying how he approaches value on a manga standard values then this is posted
@@H1dront390 oooh I see. Love mangas that have rich clear values, wish I could create one in the future but it’s so time consuming 😅

What mobile app can you use to reduce the values?
:0 !!!!
I just want to paint the inside of a dog . Do I just paint it all red or black?
depends on the light source
Best response, Space lol
Wait, what if I don't have photoshop to reduce the reference's values?
