  • Counting the breath is a create way to calm down your breathing and at the same time stay focus during meditation. We will count to 5 while inhaling and 8 while exhaling to allow your parasympathetic nervous system to become active so that you can relax and reduce stress and anxiety. You can do this meditation exercise any time of the day whenever you need a break or feel anxious or stressed out. This video will guide you through this breathing meditation and count for you, so that yo can focus on the breath and on relaxing. This is a great anxiety technique and can reduce fear and anxiety in minutes.
    If you feel dizzy stop the exercise or try making the inhalations and exhalations shorter.
    Subscribe to stay updated on this 30 day meditation challenge for beginners!!!!!
    Thanks for watching

    I'm not sure why but I found it easier to concentrate on the first meditation without counting... Not sure why seeing as counting is supposed to be easier to focus on!

      +The Angry Owl.... So did I. I would have found it more relaxing if she just said .... Breath in slowly .... and out. With some nice music in the background, and no counting. But this could be because I am a beginner.

      +Diane Peiffer I find it the same way. Do it as it is comfortable to you. I felt like the counting was too long and I was either not getting enough breathe or I was breathing too much.

    i have to go with my own breathing rhythm, if i try to follow this one to a T it becomes very forced, and i have to pause and hold my breath to keep up, or forcefully hold back my breath or inhale quicker to keep time

    • @AsukaDoinHerThang
      @AsukaDoinHerThang 8 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      same here , it's like I can hold my breath longer than 5 seconds then when she says exhale I can breath out longer than that . I don't want to be forced to inhale as quickly or I'll become unfocused .

    • @williamb6300
      @williamb6300 7 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Not to mention she says different things so it's not even staying consistent. I lost focus at 3:25 and am starting to feel like relaxing music would be better than "beginner's meditation videos"

      It could be coincidence but counting up to five to inhale, and counting up to 8 to exhale, works perfectly for me. The natural inhale exhale ratio probably differs depending on the person. Does anyone else find that it takes less time to inhale and more time to exhale?

      deena kubti Hi Deena... that is great that it helped you relax and that you enjoyed the exercise. Yes, sometimes meditation can create a bit of a headache, if we are too concentrated or have some tension or stress in our body. Headaches are quite common and can be a sign of spiritual awaking that will disappear as your body gets used to meditating.
      Love and Light and thanks for watching!

      Just use her voice as a guide but start by breathing in for 1 out for 2, when this feels comfortable extend the breaths in and out, if it doesn't become comfortable then try again the next day or even do this a few times a day.

    I got home and about 2 hours later I fell asleep again! I'm supposed to stay up but I always fall asleep and my mom didn't even wake me up! I missed dinner and didn't have time to practice my flute and all-region for band is tomorrow! As I was looking for my paper that I didn't even start on (It's due tomorrow) I couldn't find it and water spilled all over me and the floor and on top of that, my new acne treatment fell on the floor and I accidentally stepped on it causing a lot of it to spill out. I really needed this. Only my 2nd day and I already must have it

    I struggled with the breathing at first but as it went on I improved. I have since found myself counting whilst breathing even after. I'm hoping meditation will become part of my routine and help, if not cure my anxiety. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

    Thanks dear creator
    It's my second day.
    Yesterday I felt more energized.
    Meditation is really important, we must include it in habit. As we have food for body, we must do meditation for brain.
    Thank you Dear Creator

    I found this channel a couple of days ago, and I have to say it has helped me immensely, I'm only 2 days into it and yet I look forward to my meditation every evening now. Of course I will continue meditating to my own sounds after I get used to it. For a beginner such as myself though, this is a great help. :)
