was a pain tbh! Took me 2hrs and had to order the stepper motors from china. Easier to just buy a used cluster but wanted to keep my low mileage on the clock @@PiggyPower
Hi Piggy. I came to this with a search "Peugeot 306 Clock Bulb Replacement ", i.e the clock which tells the time rather than these clocks. As it happens, I did watch the whole thing as these bulbs do go and I normally wait for MOT time to get them replaced. I'll be giving this a try myself one weekend which means I don't have to put up with unlit bulbs for months on end. In the meantime though... how do I get the clock to illuminate? Many thanks.
Use a plastic trim remover and lever and pull the lower trim around the clock and buttons off. Then there is two torx screws (T20 I think) that hold the clock. Long nose pliers to get to the bulbs
Dear Piggy Power. Thank you in advance for this video. Quick question, is there also a bulb that illuminate the back of the miles screen? My miles dash screen is quite dim, I can hardly see the miles at night. I wonder if it could be a damaged bulb or the screen? Regards
Thank you Question to replace the light bulb of the aircon panel button . It’s same watts ? . Do you have another video how to remove the panel of the air con? Thanks
Replaced some on my phase 1, still don't get why there's a place for the parking lights indicator on the cluster with no bulb on it, only for headlights and high beams. 🤔
@@PiggyPower the bottom one, the phase 3 has the air bag in the top one. Just so i can get at the blower unit for better access, the Haynes manual doesn't cover the air dash.
Hi I've replaced a few bulbs, coil light, indicator and hand break. Now I've got a few more lights not working. My question is, can all the bulbs and holsters be fitted either way or do some have a +- polarity. If it's a case of buying some new bulbs to try that's great but I'm not sure if my problem is bigger than that? Thanks in advance, keep up the videos they've been a great help, look forward to hearing back :).
Yes but I can't always see the benefits... Usually the LEDs are made really cheap so they are super bright etc but don't last as long .. these bulbs were probably originals... That's 20yrs of life! Plus, the LEDs I often find are TOO bright and dont work with the dash dimmer
Hi Piggy. I came across you and commented a year ago. I has great fun over the weekend. My dashboard almost looks like a Christmas tree. I say almost ... at 7:34 you have a finger over what I would decribe as a grill. I can't see a bulb in there. Is there one? Please can you tell me how do I can get at it? Many thanks . Martin
@PiggyPower Thanks Piggy. I think my issue is actually with the bulb in your video. I may be unlucky with the replacement bulb. I'll swap things around later to establish where the fault lies. Thanks for all your content.
I have a dirty inside of the plastic over the dials, before I rip it all out do you know if the front is sealed or just clipped on? It looks clipped on to me in the video.
Hello I have problem with indicators once I turn on right or left while driving starts ticking constantly but there isn't any sign for signals on when ever ticking ( every ticking is less than second) and no light when ever ticking 2 sign just notice once I turn the steering wheel or pushing break then becoming normal functioning I am not sure is bad earth or is there any water on the light toggling short circuit. Can you give me some advice this is for peugeot 306 year 2000 engine 1.6 petrol
Hello again my friend. Off topic question but its a wierd problem.. . My engine mount was making noise, and i had vibration on the dashboard. I went to the shop, they changed it and all good. But after 2 months, it starts again... Went there again, they got it tighten i guess, stopped but after a while, same problem. Wtf? Its like it gets loose by its own... Any thoughts?
Really appreciate the video, it helped me a lot, I successfully changed the lights in my 306's dash. Piggy, keep posting 306 videos.
Well done! Fiddly job eh! Thanks for the nice comment, I'm glad it helped!
Thanks for doing this video on replacing and changing dash bulbs, really useful.👍
No worries 👌😀🐷💪
great video, just changed the electronic motors for the speedo and revs :)
Oh really?! I've never known them fail!
the rev motor died 12 months ago and then the speedo last week!@@PiggyPower
That's so odd! I've never known them to fail! 20yrs of Peugeot ownership and repairing! Well done for repairing though 😁🐷👍

Yes there is. 👍👍 Although sometimes the LCD screens too go bad
@@PiggyPower Thank you. Does it mean I should buy a new dashboard?
I'd check the bulbs first.
@@PiggyPower Will do. Thank you for your help 👍

Yes same type. I don't have another video to cover that at the moment.

There's places for loads of extras to be honest, just depends on which market it was sold in and options that were ticked when bought 👌🐷
good stuff porky pal, could you do a video on removing the phase 3 glove box with air bag?
The top one?

No they don't have a +/-, like a household bulb

Theres no bulbs behind that black plastic "grill"

Always plug in to test before you screw it all back together 👍🐷🤪
Is it the same in The phase 2 or is it diffrent?
Pretty much same for all phases 👍🐷

It is just clipped on.
@@adrianrevilak2814 Great, I will get it off to clean then.
as mentioned, just clips... I'd suggest warm them slightly to avoid snapping them all

Which mount? There are 3!
@@PiggyPower the one on the top, mounted on the right wing.
Has the plate underneath been checked? They often crack
@@PiggyPower so..in that case, i guess they have to weld new metal?
@@jimcarey1716 yes. Grind out the crack. Weld. Grind smooth. Common thing. That or using the wrong nuts or poor quality mounts
