Hay Shantymen at the Hay Festival. 2023.
The Hay Literary Festival is an important book festival in Hay-on-Wye.
Hay Shantymen
Tuesday 30 May 2023, 2pm-2.30pm. The Hay Shantymen are based in Hay--on-Wye and have sung sea shanties and have raised money for the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution). The RNLI operate around the British Isles saving lives at sea and on certain stretches of inland waterways using Lifeboats and other aids.
The Hay Shantymen are based on the East Coast of Wales.
Hay-on-Wye in the Wye Valley which is on the River Wye. Y Gelli is Hay in Welsh as is Afon Gwy the River Wye.
