"As a character, Copen is kind of an insuffurable prick, who is almost impossible to like." That's why I love him! lol Great review Ash. Can't wait to play it!
I really did like Mighty No 9, but as far as both gameplay and story, I feel like the Gunvolt series does a great job of carrying on Mega Man's spirit in a modern fashion, and much more elegantly.
Grey and Scarlet, you may want to consider buying the Striker Pack. It's a combo pack containing Gunvolt 1 & 2 with all extra content for 1 that wasn't in the initial release. You can either order a physical copy from GameStop or download the digital version from the 3DS eShop. From what I understand it's being released the same day as Gunvolt 2.
William Brown I wish they would do an update or something for the first game to give the extra stuff, as I had purchased it a year before this was revealed, and would seem like a waste of money to buy the same game just for something that should've been in the first game originally
Ash said that the soundtrack was kinda forgetable, which is kinda true, but he didn't mention the Joule/Lola songs, and those songs is where the OST truly shines.
+YoungTheFish You have to get 1000 Kudos or more for the songs to start playing. Luckily, Gunvolt 2 has a setting where you don't lose your Kudos, even if you get hit, so you can listen to the songs as much as you want.
You're totally right, and I consciously did not cover that aspect of the game because the review was already running long and considering much of our audience's reactions to anything anime-ish, I didn't think devoting a paragraph to talking about the J-pop songs you get to hear if you rack up 1,000 Kudos or more was necessary. I do agree that the Joule and Lola songs are easily the strongest parts of the soundtrack and I enjoyed them every time I got them to play, but considering you only get to hear them if you play extremely well (or choose "Gutless" for earning Kudos), they didn't have much of an effect on my opinion of the soundtrack.
In gunvolt 1, there were secret characters on each of the normal stages that could get hit by 1 certain gun, when hit they showed up and you could take them, setting your kudos to 1000. I expect they are in this game too, but have no idea where to look for them or what weapon to use.
*SPOILERS* if people were wondering, you do get to play EVERY STAGE with both chars after you complete both the stories. This game's 15 dollar price is too good to be true, its like a megaman zx love child.
It is reminiscent, but I'll say this: Gunvolt's ranking requirements are much, MUCH more lenient than Zero's, especially Gunvolt 2. I've been able to get A and S ranks in every mission in Gunvolt 2 except for one, and while I definitely consider myself good at platformers, it's not like I've been breaking my back to get those ranks either. At the very least, you don't have to play flawlessly to get an A rank most of the time, and even with S ranks you're allowed to make some mistakes and it's more about banking a ton of Kudos and not losing them before you can cash them in.
+NeoPraetorian OVAs can be multiple episodes. The Tales of Symphonia OVA had 12 episodes. A lot of people think OVAs are just one episodes, but really, OVAs are animes that don't air, but rather, are sold on stores, or sometimes bundled with the latest volume of a manga.
Luckily there's gonna be a bundle for those who wants to get into the series it has a suggested retail price of 30 dollars but if you like Physical Copies of a game then there you go plus it's 2 games in one. Coming out October 4th called Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack comes with both Azure Striker Gunvolt 1 and 2 and it is the only way to get it physical for those who care for that. Also if you are still unsure there is a demo of the original game on the eShop right now. Happy Striking!
domdon950 Already own the first. I remember playing the demo like it was yesterday. Fell in love with the first game and got the true ending along with s ranks on a few stages. Looking forward to replaying through this game twice thanks to Copen.
You prefer playing as Gunvolt over Copen? That's really surprising! I found that Copen's more mobile style of play really delivers where Gunvolt falls short.
They're among the most popular Nintendo-focused channels around (even if not completely exclusive to Nintendo). They're not just some basement-dweller reviewer with a handful of viewers. There's no reason for them not to be able to capture (New) 3DS footage.
Are you like 12? Of course they have to spend money for equipment, that's how work works. Besides that, they have had 8 million views in the past 30 days alone, no doubt they're earning more than enough to afford it.
Oh my God.. He's everywhere. Shovel Knight is fuggin EVERYWHERE! Yooka Laylee, Blood Stained, now Gunvolt 2. And there's more cameos! I swear, if he shows up in Sonic Mania, I'm just done.
I don't see anything wrong with it. He's basically the face/icon of indie gaming now, his own game is incredible, and cameo appearances are totally harmless, so why not?
Having put an hour into playing both Gunvolt and Copen, Copen really needs time to get used to his playstyle. It's not easy to pick up like Gunvolts style. I like it though.
***** I know he's unlikeable. I was hoping he would sorta change a little bit and start to realize all adepts aren't bad and get a bit nicer. In the beginning Gunvolt saves a whole bunch of people, including his sister and he thanks him by stealing a piece of Joule's power.
To be fair, technically the "saving a bunch of people" was a team effort, one couldn't have done it without the other. Also, he had NO idea of the relationship between Joule and Gunvolt.
Well, the whole basis for his kill-all-Adepts mindset boils down to his father's influence, from his research *on* Adepts to his beliefs *regarding* Adepts to his death at the *hands* at Adepts. Unless it gets addressed, nothing will change with Copen. And it will have to be soon. Despite Gunvolt 2's true ending, I'm still not set on believing that the Muse's story is over. And all Copen knows about Gunvolt's connection to Copen's own sister is that Gunvolt went around with her Septima/Adept power for a while. That is literally all he could know, as far as we, the audience, are aware.
To be fair, it's quite easy to see Copen's point. Background material states that the presence of Adepts has ravaged most of the planet, and of the 18 Adepts we've seen, only three (Gunvolt, Zeno and Lumen) have been both free from the Sumeragi Group AND willing to coexist with humanity. The rest have been either one or the other. I'm not saying that Copen's genocidal crusade is justified, but history has proven him right on nearly every occasion.
Nice review! I gotta say tho, I think you're wrong on the stacking challenges thing. I remembering doing so on GV1, it may just be unstackable on the mission ranking challenges.
Thanks! :) Maybe the way I worded it wasn't clear enough, but I can say for sure that the stage ranking challenges do NOT stack - I encountered this problem several times throughout both Gunvolt and Copen's campaigns, getting A and S ranks but only getting credit for the B-rank challenge if I hadn't completed it yet. The same also goes for any time-based challenges - for example, if there are challenges for beating a stage in 12 and 6 minutes and you do it in 5, you only get credit for the 12-minute challenge. You have to do it again to get credit for the harder one. Non-stacking challenges can indeed be completed simultaneously and you're no longer limited to choosing just three at a time to attempt, but I mentioned that in my review as well.
If you are not the type that would replay levels for a extremely difficult S rank, or you don't enjoy the brutal difficulty of Fast Racing Neo, than you probably won't get much enjoyment from the game. The game is rather easy, with loads of safe guard to prevent you from getting a game over. The game's difficulty mainly comes from the challenges, with part of the sound tracks (the good parts) only accessible if you are performing very, very, very well (no damage, no check point, no special attacks). If you are willing to play it like an MLG, you get all the content and it feels amazing. If you just want to casually play through it, I'd say it's still good but probably wait for a sale or something.
YoungTheFish Heh, you're talking to someone that guns for Platinum runs on Bayonetta, The Wonderful 101, beat the story mode of F-Zero GX on Very Hard (and achieved inner peace in the process), and has 100% comlpleted every mainline Zelda game as well as both versions of Hyrule Warriors. I relish the oppurtunity...
Nope! As soon as I saw the first trailer, I knew I'd enjoy playing as Copen far more than Gunvolt. Gunvolt is fun, but I felt he was lacking in the first game, since he's not nearly as mobile as X or Zero from their respective series. Copen really delivers on that front, and his acquired weapons are actually distinct and (for the most part) useful! I'm disappointed that they didn't take the opportunity to improve on Gunvolt's gameplay more. He can air dash now, which is nice, but at a ridiculous EP cost that makes you never want to use it. His boss acquired weapons are still the same lame, useless types of quills that he had in the first game. Weak sauce!
Cameron Moore I agree that they could have added some new weapons and skills to improve his gameplay, though in the case of the air dash it could be easily solved if you had the Shovel Knight amiibo (which grants you both the double jump and air dash without any ep cost... if you manage to defeat the knight). While as far as the guns are concerned, The Naga, Technos and Vasuki are actually quite useful. Although I can'st say much about the others (the Mizuchi being practically useless).
Zetto Vii I may have been exaggerating when I said they're all useless. I agree that Naga, Technos, and Vasuki are useful; I just wish more was done in general. Gunvolt only gets 6 quills that don't really differ all that much, as opposed to Copen's 8 very distinct EX weapons. Orochi was nerfed, Mizuchi is so useless that its very existence is baffling (even moreso that it survived completely unchanged for the sequel) and as for Naga, it could've done with a damage boost and bigger projectile to make it the real successor to Mega Man charge shots. As it is, it's useful for when you want to tag through walls or other enemies, but that's about it. Otherwise, charging it up is just a waste of time.
Cameron Moore Now that you mentioned, some of this weapons could become really powerful with minor tweaks. The Naga as you said, could be better if the charge shot did extra damage. The Mizuchi could become really useful if you actually could shoot more than just 1 shot and if the bullets traveled faster. While the Dullahan could work more like an actual secret weapon if each shot actually tagged. But then it would also be cool if they also introduced completely new guns as well. Like for example, making one that on top of electrocuting the tagged enemies with the flash field, would also make like an electric current between them that can deal extra damage to the enemies that touches said current. Or a gun that charges up a big shell that can be split into multiple bullets after being fired. With it splitting into more bullets depending on how much its charged.
Why did Inafune and Inti Creates put so much effort into this and not MN9? Or was Coppen possibly an answer to MN9's reception, because it sounds like a much better thought out take on what MN9 tried to do gameplaywise.
Inafune really just helped with ASG. He's really not a great developer. Look at his credits, he's an illustrator, concept artist, and producer. Not a super awesome developer. His input and assistance may have helped a bit, but ASG is 90% or more Inti Creates.
Yeah, he is and he was in a producer or director role for both projects. His job was to make sure the games reflected the vision and intention, met various deadlines and otherwise manage the project. The difference is ASG was a partnership with inti creates and MN9 Inafune hired inti creates to help develop the game. I just don't see how that difference should have had such an effect.
AdamEEntertainment Well this work is ASG is mostly Inti Creates with Inafune lending some minor assistance. Also, ASG2 doesn't have Inafune involved at all. Meanwhile, the bulk of the work and management for MN9 fell to Inafune and Comcept, with Inti Creates providing a bit of help to get it finished. In other words, Inafune deserves little or no credit for ASG and definitely ASG2 and all the blame for Comcept. Cause where he had little involvement, things went well. When he was in the driver's seat all the way, it all went to crap.
Can you clarify on the Kudos system? In ASG1 you lost all kudos from 1 hit, but here you say from being hit "too many times." This is kinda determining my purchase because that kudos system got way more frustrating than enjoyable after a while.
My main question about Gunvolt 2, when playing as Gunvolt, does it have the same problem in the first one where once you got the Orochi gun there was no point to using any other weapon?
I liked using the Vasuki for the lock-on chaining and Technos bolts for the spreadshot capabillity. But yeah the third game needs more unique bolts to use.
Ash reminded me. Why didn't Derrick comment on the 3D in yo-Kai watch 2? And will he comment on it in Pokémon sun and moon since 3D did effect the game negatively in gen 6
I have to disagree with Copen being awkward to play as. If his style was the game originally, I think it would get so much love. It's like Gunvolt done with the inspiration of PS2 Shinobi or Revengeance. It's much more exciting than playing as GV.
I really like Copen as a Charakter. He's maybe a bit emo but in the most situations I would act like him and his playstyle is godlike.Easy to get start but hard to be really good.
I dont know if they reworked the dialogue in the switch version but copen is probably one of my favorites especially since everytime I see his interactions with his sister always seems so sweet and makes him seem alot kinder and sweeter
Just had a thought in the middle of the review, but you said both gunvolt and copen have 10 stages each and the 1st game had 12. Doesn't that mean that this game has more content then?
Wouldn't that make the game longer then? A campaign for one is only 2 stages shorter, so say the first was 8 hours wouldn't the second be like 14 hours? Or did you just meant individual campaigns were shorter than the one in the first game?
I don't think that a shorter campaign for 1 character is bad at all. The beauty about platformers is going from start to finish on one sitting whenever you want if you got enough time. For example, look at MMX4. Two characters that play completely different will keep the game fresh for a much longer time than just relying on Gunvolt. From what you say, 4 hours is pretty average for most platformers, in particular mega man ones.
I never understood why people think of copen like that if anything he made the ultimate sacrifice at the end if his story and would do anything for mytyl and their interactions are amazing he leaves because he wants her to live a normal life away from his grudges that's why at the end he calls himself a demon bent on revenge hes an amazing character and a caring older brother and he doesnt get enough credit for it
I've been replaying ASG1, and honestly, it's not that long once you know the ins and outs of the game. Maybe that's a factor on why you felt GV2 was a little shorter than the first one. And for one, I'm grateful Copen is not as likable as Gunvolt. We saw what happened with Zero, being more popular than X , and at least for me, I like that the focus stays in the main character (Still, I'm grateful for the Zero/ZX series, as precursors to Gunvolt).
well that's why the boxed version comes with bot gunvolt games so u can play the first one and get u up to speed. my guess would be that anybody that decides to get this game more than likely played the first game like myself, it's kind of logic. I was excited for this game and patiently waited after playing the first game which was great by the way. from what I'm hearing is that they came up short with the second game. I would've liked to see newer powers for gunvolt, way better graphics and a much better emphasis and use of the 3d. if they aren't going to improve on the game they shouldn't make a third game. I think they had more than enough time to have made the game better than what it is.
I just downloaded it!!! the moment they mentioned Gunvolt 2 on the direct made me giggle in extacy x3 even though I havn´t beaten the 1st game yet I know what happend AND what REALY happened at the end, so I´m good to go C:
I disagree. If Mega Man was truly "dead" he wouldn't be in Smash alongside other major gaming icons (not to mention they wouldn't still be making so much Mega Man merch and producing a new Mega Man cartoon), but I can understand why some fans feel like he might as well be dead.
I think the cartoon was made to see if people react positively to it, and then try and make another game? But if otherwise, they're just trying to bring a dead character back. I love him though, I wish he does come back someday
TBH Copen's gameplay is the absolute best thing about GV2. Since unlike Gunvolt who's gameplay is far slower and technical in comparison. Copen's more dynamic and engaging gameplay rewards with high paced 2D platform action and more direct Boss engagement similar to Megaman with the get equipped system.
hmm my main problem with the first Azure Striker Gunvolt is that the stages are too basic with almost no platforming, at least during the time I played it before getting bored.
This game is very easy compared to the first game. i've end it in under an hour. I do agree gunvolt is a better payer to play as. that motor cycle part reminds me of Boktai
The difficulty curve is certainly like the Zero series. Where as the 1st 1 was pretty hard, the 2nd one was easier in comparison. Makes me wonder if they are planning on making the 3rd game harder than the 2nd with more game play options.
Yes, actually - there are similarities to X-Men in the Gunvolt series' story and world! I was thinking that as I played through Gunvolt 2. They're not a one-for-one match, but there are some thematic similarities for sure.
Slufffy Gamer well i got gunvolt on sale I think for about 7 dollars I don't kid waiting a year to get the game since Pokemon sun and moon is dropping soon.
Naga itzu It will probably be easier to find a sale faster if you look for the double pack. Usually cartage games drop in price a lot faster then they do on the Eshop
If you factor in both Gunvolt and Copen's campaigns I would say the length is more or less comparable to the first game, but Gunvolt 2 definitely "feels" shorter because of the two-story approach.
***** So far im really enjoying this game but it would be nice if next time it was just Gunvolt maybe and a mini Copen DLC campaign or Copen just having his own one of game.
Always kinds of bothers me in games with cool female designs like this that when they decided to add another playable character they made it yet another edgy dude. Whatever, it's their game so they can do as they like but I'm still holding out for an entry I can play as someone else like joule or gibril because I think they look awesome.
Shovel knight putting in work to assemble the indie avengers
This needs to happen.
Scott Elder Yes, please make that happen! A game combining the forces of Shovel Knight, Gunvolt, Shauntei, and Yooka Laylee! XD

@@CalebCraft10 yooka laylee is a bad game
Well we got mighty gunvolt burst so do we include beck
It'll make you cry like an anime fan on prom night!
are they any english Lets plays/walktroughs?
Not yet. TarozX has one in Japanese. I plan on doing an English one.
so it'll make me cry because I'm a lonley anime nerd?
greatgallade No. It'll make you feel satisfied knowing at least this is better than the other game.

At least it's not like MN9 in that it's content is more original.
His Japanese name is armored blue gunvolt
Being a Mega Man Zero/ZX fan, this series looks very intriguing. I'll be sure to give it a try
Same... Im thinking the same.
As a Mega Man Zero/Z fan who has played the first game, it's fuckin' brilliant.

Ash said that the soundtrack was kinda forgetable, which is kinda true, but he didn't mention the Joule/Lola songs, and those songs is where the OST truly shines.
I beat the first game and only get to listen to Joule twice, once is because I died XD. I'm just gonna buy the OST.
+YoungTheFish You have to get 1000 Kudos or more for the songs to start playing. Luckily, Gunvolt 2 has a setting where you don't lose your Kudos, even if you get hit, so you can listen to the songs as much as you want.
My thoughts exactly. But I do like a few of the event tracks and the first stage theme.

The strict ranking reminds of Mega Man Zero's ranking. Incredibly harsh, time sensitive, basically requiring flawless execution of the stage.
Well, Inti Creates DID make MMZ, soooooo......
well duh.
It is reminiscent, but I'll say this: Gunvolt's ranking requirements are much, MUCH more lenient than Zero's, especially Gunvolt 2. Getting S+ ranks, on the other hand...
S+ in either game requires you to be almost perfect.
So how about that recently announced Gunvolt anime?
when did this happen
I thought it was just an OVA
+NeoPraetorian OVAs can be multiple episodes. The Tales of Symphonia OVA had 12 episodes.

Rodin Claus This game is perfect for you.
I personnaly love copen's gameplay! maybe because of his mobilite... btw does anyone know how to activate the offline ex weapon slot?
poppi there’s nothing there, it’s just for if you don’t want an EX weapon equipped
Am I the only one here who enjoyed playing as Copen more than Gunvolt?
I found copen to be much easier than gunvolt gameplay wise.
Weak sauce!
Cameron Moore
I agree that they could have added some new weapons and skills to improve his gameplay, though in the case of the air dash it could be easily solved if you had the Shovel Knight amiibo (which grants you both the double jump and air dash without any ep cost... if you manage to defeat the knight). While as far as the guns are concerned, The Naga, Technos and Vasuki are actually quite useful. Although I can'st say much about the others (the Mizuchi being practically useless).
Zetto Vii
I may have been exaggerating when I said they're all useless.
Cameron Moore
Now that you mentioned, some of this weapons could become really powerful with minor tweaks.
Does it have the same problem of the first game of only having like 5 enemies and fairly bland stages?
How are you Copen with the shorter adventure?
No. Just no.
I just got Bloodstained. Now I need these 2 and Shovelknight. Anything else? I like rpgs too.
Can you clarify on the Kudos system? In ASG1 you lost all kudos from 1 hit, but here you say from being hit "too many times." This is kinda determining my purchase because that kudos system got way more frustrating than enjoyable after a while.
Just A Nobody thanks
It is better than Mighty No.9!
everything is lol
sonic boooooooom sonic boooooooooom sonic boooooooom.
to be fair, anything is better than that
+MonopolyMan 711
Nah, for as mediocre as Might no. 9 is, it never will be anywhere as bad as Superman 64.
Don't forget about Big Rigs Over the Road Racing.
This game looks great and sounds very fun, but I think I'll wait to get the dual physical release since I haven't played the first game
There is going to be a duel physical release?
My main question about Gunvolt 2, when playing as Gunvolt, does it have the same problem in the first one where once you got the Orochi gun there was no point to using any other weapon?
I liked using the Vasuki for the lock-on chaining and Technos bolts for the spreadshot capabillity. But yeah the third game needs more unique bolts to use.
Ash reminded me. Why didn't Derrick comment on the 3D in yo-Kai watch 2? And will he comment on it in Pokémon sun and moon since 3D did effect the game negatively in gen 6
I'm going to wait for the physical release.
Speaking of reviews, out of curiosity, does anyone know when reviews for Paper Mario: Color Splash are allowed to be released?
I dont know about other sites but i think andre said his review would be uploaded next week. 4th or 5th of october.
Eh I really only cared about GameXplain's review anyway so thanks!
you're welcome :)
I have to disagree with Copen being awkward to play as. If his style was the game originally, I think it would get so much love. It's like Gunvolt done with the inspiration of PS2 Shinobi or Revengeance. It's much more exciting than playing as GV.
It always seems like Ash's audio is better in podcasts/discussions rather than Reviews
and I suppose the sequel won't get a physical release as well right?
coolgreek79 theres gonna be a pack that includes both games for 30$ on october 4th
I really like Copen as a Charakter. He's maybe a bit emo but in the most situations I would act like him and his playstyle is godlike.Easy to get start but hard to be really good.
does this game have a secret boss/ending like the first? if so how hard is it to unlock and would I have to do it for both characters?
there is 'true' final boss, but they are not new character.
well I guess its better than nothing
There IS a secret ending for completing 80% of GV and Copen's challenges, then beating the final level as either one.
Drago Lancer thanks
The game is available right now for download on the 3DS eShop.
I've only got an original 3DS. Will this game be capped at 30 FPS for me like the first Azure game? And how stable is the framerate in general?
perfect framerate with gunvolt, but not with copen(especially, when you recharge in midair)
I dont know if they reworked the dialogue in the switch version but copen is probably one of my favorites especially since everytime I see his interactions with his sister always seems so sweet and makes him seem alot kinder and sweeter
can you get the powers of boss like in megaman??
Just had a thought in the middle of the review, but you said both gunvolt and copen have 10 stages each and the 1st game had 12. Doesn't that mean that this game has more content then?
No, because I also mentioned that four or five of the stages are shared between Gunvolt and Copen, meaning they only get a few exclusive stages each.
Oh I see. Thanks for the reply! However, I just have to try this game because I loved the first one
Wouldn't that make the game longer then? A campaign for one is only 2 stages shorter, so say the first was 8 hours wouldn't the second be like 14 hours? Or did you just meant individual campaigns were shorter than the one in the first game?
I actually like playing as Copen more. Both as a protagonist character, and as a playstyle. I tend to find it hard to go back to regular GV.
From what you say, 4 hours is pretty average for most platformers, in particular mega man ones.
sooo games can go from the wiiu to 3ds. but this game isn't on wiiu why???
I never understood why people think of copen like that if anything he made the ultimate sacrifice at the end if his story and would do anything for mytyl and their interactions are amazing he leaves because he wants her to live a normal life away from his grudges that's why at the end he calls himself a demon bent on revenge hes an amazing character and a caring older brother and he doesnt get enough credit for it
The "mysterious girl" reminds me of Zonda. Hhmm
Hmm! ;)
Hmmm?!?!
hmmmmm!
Doesn't look like them at all though..
Lol this is what Mighty No 9 was trying to be
Yo I heard rumors that there might be a 3rd ASGV games comin' out. Don't think its officially announced yet though. Just some talks here 'n' there.
Guys, how this game works on regular 3DS? There is no need for New 3DS?
The only difference is that there's no r2/L2 buttons that'll let you switch weapons easier. Other than that it's pretty much the same.
@@CNWhatImSaiyan it is in 3d?
well that's why the boxed version comes with bot gunvolt games so u can play the first one and get u up to speed. my guess would be that anybody that decides to get this game more than likely played the first game like myself, it's kind of logic.
I just downloaded it!!!
the moment they mentioned Gunvolt 2 on the direct made me giggle in extacy x3
even though I havn´t beaten the 1st game yet I know what happend AND what REALY happened at the end, so I´m good to go C:
it is in 3d?
if you mean the 3D feature of the 3DS, then idk. I only own an New 2DS, and in terms of graphics... well you can see it for yourself
The blue bomber may be on hiatus... Lol Megaman is dead you know...
+Nat. P. Mega man 11 2018
Oooh, that's who "Gunvolt" is in runbow
I actually like Copen's Highspeed gameplay. They basically fixed Disappointment No. 9 and made him into a lone Hitler wannabe.
So copen basically plays like a more refined version of mighty no 9.
I knew this game reminded me of MMZX. Looks like I'm buying this one tomorrow as MMZX is pretty much my favourite game.
i will wait for the eventual Steam release, still looks dope tho
Downloading it now as I'm watching the review.
I love this games and you cover other games yet no db fusions?
I honestly loved Copen's gameplay- even more than Gunvolt's. Bouncing around off enemies and fuckin' up everyone's shit was soooooo fun...
My only complaint about this game is the ending. I hope they change that in the 3rd game
Great review Ash!
hmm my main problem with the first Azure Striker Gunvolt is that the stages are too basic with almost no platforming, at least during the time I played it before getting bored.
I'm getting the striker pack tomorrow, yay
It doesn't come out until next week, on October 4th. Only the digital version of Gunvolt 2 released today.
V0RT3X -
y
The striker pack was delayed.
I honestly thought this game was out for like 5 months at this point lol
Well out in Japan technically lol.
Did he really just call the soundtrack forgettable? Have you heard a muse song, like ever?
That’s two songs
Very good review. Wasn't sure on whether or not to buy it but after hearing this I will now so thank you :)
This reminds me of the mega man zero and zx series but with its own individual charm to gameplay
Copen's EX Weapons more than make up for his lack of new special moves.......just saying :P
makes me wanna get a ds
this one won't have a stupid good and bad ending stipulation like the first game will it... that shit was unreasonably hard in the first game...
There is a normal and true ending, but the process of achieving the true ending is much simpler.
Get good.
Man... I want a pc version for this...
No Hate to Shovel Knight but he's in every game
Makes me reminisce on megaman zx and zx advent
oh my god great job!
Thank you!
it was great that you as a megaman fan review this game
ShovelKnight?!
I am so glad i have gamefly.
The game is actually decently challenging without prevasion equipped.
it is in 3d?
gunvolts music is forgettable? r u srs!?!?!
Well Done Ash, very well done.
in short xmen
ok how about the x series
Yes, actually - there are similarities to X-Men in the Gunvolt series' story and world! I was thinking that as I played through Gunvolt 2. They're not a one-for-one match, but there are some thematic similarities for sure.
***** Thank you
Copen is pretty much Senator Kelly but with physical instead of political power.
How can it be a platformer if there's no bottomless pits.
There are bottomless pits. Unless you are being sarcastic?
you must not be good with copen cause I find that he flows much better and gameplay is much faster
*SPOILER ALERT* Heres hoping they make a Gunvolt 3 and bring Joule back.
this game is sooooooo good. loved it
Gonna wait for a price drop then I wanted this game but if it isn't as long as the first one if can wait.
Naga itzu If you buy it tomorrow it will only be $13 instead of $15 I don't think the price will go any lower than that.
***** So far im really enjoying this game but it would be nice if next time it was just Gunvolt maybe and a mini Copen DLC campaign or Copen just having his own one of game.
u would love another zx game
the end was very much like IGN
How so?
keep it on ign for all azure strike gunvolt2 and everything gaming.. sound familiar?
Always kinds of bothers me in games with cool female designs like this that when they decided to add another playable character they made it yet another edgy dude. Whatever, it's their game so they can do as they like but I'm still holding out for an entry I can play as someone else like joule or gibril because I think they look awesome.
Geminosity they’re both very dead
Many Azure. Much Strike. Wow.
so like megaman
Made by the company Inti Creates that developed Mega Man X, so yeah.
Correction: Mega Man Zero and ZX. Inti Creates didn't develop the X games.
Well im gonna go and buy the game ty
This game reminds me of Megs Man
