- In this episode, I determine how and what parts are needed to convert our 1963 Buick Special Skylark to a 5 Lug x 4 3/4" wheel pattern to use the G-Body Rear Aluminum Drums up front to save some weight and reduce the rolling mass!
Amazing what you can do thinking outside the box and applying a little resesrch
Very nice.
Reproduction aluminum drums are available
Craig, these were just to try and see if all this would work. There was no definite answer if it would. I’ve found the reproductions before but cannot find the website now. Would you happen to have a link?
That's so easy...now that you figured it out lol.
old school power to weight mods
Will a 67-69 camaro drum fit the factory 61-63 skylark brake shoes and backing plate assembly?
That I’ve never tried. The drum
Is small, just like the g body and s10 style drums I used. If the 67-69 Camaro came with 9” drums in the front, then yes they should fit.
Personally. I blame squirrels
And Gara99es.
Great channel!
I see you doing all these old school speed mods, very Kool
How fast do think it will be?
I’m shooting for 10.50’s, which may be a little ambitious with the driver rowing the gears.
Why dont you try what all of us G body guys do 2 wheel drive blazer spindel brake swap
Did you have a a falling out with uncle tony?
No, not that I'm aware of. He stopped doing Wednesday Night Lives, so I stopped doing videos with him on the regular. I've been busy, he's been busy... leads to no time to meet up.
