I had a Chevrolet Tacuma 2.0L CDX - cracking motor - 80k miles in 3 years - no trouble - roomy flexible interior 35mpg overall - no better and no worse than main rivals - major difference was it was miles cheaper to buy and own
that does better mpg than my mate's 52 reg golf mark 4 1.6 he gets about 20 odd, always runs out of petrol so he has to drive his other golf mark 4 to the petrol station to fill a jerry can because he never buys more than a fivers worth.
Had my tacuma 6 years 2ltr CDx auto. Been great, first thing had it LPG converted on motor ways at 3500 revs, let you work out the speed get 52+ mile for my 6 pound of gas and nocking about 28 miles. Running great, as these cars in Korea run mainly on LPG anyway that's one of the reasons I bought it , plus only paid 3000 pounds for a car with only 23k on the clock and just 3years old. So I guess I like mine have no reason to change it as long as it keeps going I'll keep driving it
Not exactly pretty. But I thought these were one of Daewoo better efforts at the time. Practical and sensible. Although the Tacuma sold very poorly in New Zealand
You know, I've had one for 8 yrs and it's sitting at 86698 miles. . Sure it's underpowered but Jesus I've had only a clutch go, a Sring go' and the cylinder head. £1250 and its as compfy a car as I've had. A bargain ide say. Sure it's got no street cred but I drove by 3 electric cars two wks ago that ran outta juice. Rock on Tacuma.
Daiwoos were cheaply made cars. The body had a tinny feel, the engine was mediocre(at best)the car needed more than average TLC to keep on rolling, the interior(plastics,cloth,dashbord-especially in hot countries)didn't last... well..it was a GM attempt to have an alternative to Hunday/Kia
Had mine 6yrs and it's comfy, never a problem with it and sailed thru it's MOT last wk for £60. Okay, I could get out the car and run up a hill faster than the car, but it's a lug loader with all my work tools in it. And it only cost £1200 with 40000mikes all those yrs ago.
Good little workhorse with room for 5 adults, decent boot, flexible interior, and fair economy.

Awful car, parts hard to source and overpriced
