On International Nurses Day, we at Medicaid Cancer Foundation (MCF) hosted an empowering workshop for oncology nurses!
Combining forces with our core partners, BVGH, Project Pink Blue and NSSF, we tackled the toughest challenges in cancer care and shared innovative solutions and best practices.
Our expertise and passion for excellence under the leadership of our CEO, Dr Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, in oncology nursing shone bright as we explored transformative strategies together.
The Foundation has been dedicated to enhancing Oncology Nursing in Nigeria, collaborating with various organizations for training and workshops like BVGH (2023) for Digital Oncology Training in Kebbi State, benefiting over 700 nurses and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, J&J, and Real Visionaries (2022) for a workshop evaluating Oncology Nursing. These efforts culminated in the launch of Project BOND (Building Oncology Nursing Dynamism).
Thank you to our dedicated nurses, speakers, and participants especially National Hospital, Abuja, FMC Jabi and UATH, Gwagwalada, for making this workshop a resounding success!
Through collaborative efforts with CSOs and the government, we're looking forward to shaping the future of cancer care and creating a better system for our oncology nurses to work in.
