Thanks! I don’t think it’s going to happen, since Disney has been bleeding money over the past few years and are in the crossfire of a ridiculous culture war. Their best bet is to focus on safe smaller-budget films, and tbh I’m not sure if I want modern Disney to make more legacy sequels after the past 10 years of them.
Oke so youtube is recommending me a lot or pirates of the Caribbean, and the vids are good but I have some youtube tips, do with them as you will. 1. Thumbnails are often too crowded, making it hard to see what the video is about in a couple of seconds. This video is not suffering much from it although it lacks a bit of pop, especially lettering, I guess more drop shadows? Something to make the background and foreground more separate from each other, and letters easier to read. 2. also fonts, sometimes they are too small or skinny, in general harder to read. I will link a website in a comment under this one that is great for judging a thumbnail. The video on Cutler Backet is a good example of thumbnail suffering from these problems, legend of davy jones as well. More is less, quickly being able to understand the thumbnail, and pop, are everything. For example story of the mermaids, a recent one. The word hunger is hard to read and to be honest lettering is to small. So move the mermaid to the right a bit, increase the text size, and a different more readable font for hunger. Also we could go for more of an action shot, you talk about hunger so gives them something fierce and memorable so they will click. Although finding something for that could be hard, maybe some good shots in the movie for that.
Will you do videos on the lore of Pirates Online/TLOPO? The restoration added new story chapters that expand on established lore, such as an order of pirates who enforce the Code
I also like that magic in the PotC is basically every sailor superstition is somehow real. Adds to the setting a lot.
The curses and stuff in these movies make me really happy none of it is real.
great video!! what are your thoughts on the likelihood of a next pirates movie ?

The Rob Kidd Jack Sparrow novels

Thanks.
I wish they didn’t lean so heavily on magic in pirates of the Caribbean. Just seems like lazy writing.
Not sure how… it’s a series of fantasy films…
