He holiday'd with Nkrumah and family as a kid.. his ideaology is molded from that era and he intends on reviving/finishing what was started.. The country has matured so I am more encouraged that he will be given the support by the people to succeed. No Akufo-Ado is married to a black Ghanaian woman. Nkrumah's children grew up mostly in Egypt after he was ousted from power. His daughter Samia Nkrumah has been back in Ghana for a while and heavily into the political scene. She is now chairperson of her dads former CPP party.. On the subject of the African continent...when I was a very young girl growing up my Father (whom has passed on for many years) brought up in one of our family discussions about the plight of Africa and that so many of the ruling classes there were about staking claim to ALL the beauty and treasures (natural resources; especially diamonds, oil, precious metals and stones); we're not being transferred to the original people THE BLACK AFRICAN people. He said that unless the governments and their rulers (who have a voice) to speak up and guard and protect their riches for their own people...that they would suffer for many years. Mind you my Father had this very topic discussed with his daughters and sons about 20 years ago. Now, from what I have heard today...this is what my Father spoke about and it brings tears to my eyes that this wonderful very proud poetically speaking with so much love and pride about his country located in Africa is just heartwarming. I am a young woman have NEVER heard this type of PROUD, REALISTIC, CONTROVERSIAL SPEECH..with poise, direct meaning, truth and total honesty.
